Academic Journal of Psychology and Counseling is a scientific publication that efforts to facilitate academic articles and scholarly writings of a number studies in empirical research in the field of Psychology and Counseling. Academic Journal of Psychology and Counseling is open to academics, students, researchers, and practitioners who are interested in contributing their thoughts, especially in the field of Psychology and Counseling. The main focus of Academic Journal of Psychology and Counseling is welcomes research articles (qualitative and/or quantitative methods), and conceptual review about psychology and counseling. Novel ideas and originality that trigger further research are emphasized. Abstract

The concept of narima ing pandum is a self-acceptance form of the elderly people in the context of Javanese culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the concept of narima ing pandum in the form of meaning and aspects in Javanese elderly people’s self-acceptance. This qualitative research uses a phenomenological approach by collecting data through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that self-acceptance in Javanese society is represented in the concept of narimo ing pandum. Narimo ing pandum in the context of Javanese elderly people is a condition of accepting whatever has been given by God, regardless of the condition and regardless of the amount efforts the individual has tried according to his/her ability level. The aspects which make up the concept of narimo ing pandum include gratitude, ora ngoyo/ngongso, and simplicity. Elderly people who has an attitude of self-acceptance or have an attitude of narimo ing pandum will have a sense of calm or ayem in living their life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find and describe various spiritual problems along with the completion of counseling guidance for high school students. The method used in this study was a Systematical Literature Review. The technique of collecting data is by collecting articles from several online journals. The author examines journal articles published between 2012-2020. The author found that there were 15 articles with 12 different problems. The results of this study show that various problems in the spiritual field include low religious tolerance, learning difficulties, high levels of anxiety, low levels of spiritual intelligence, lack of Islamic personality, low levels of interpersonal intelligence, low levels of religiosity, lack of noble morals, low self-esteem, bullying, juvenile delinquency, and smoking behavior that can be solved with Gestalt Prophetic (G-Pro) guidance and counseling, religiosity-based counseling guidance model, mind bubble meditation relaxation, integrative group counseling model, counseling guidance and spiritual intelligence, Islamic counseling approach, guidance theistic, group guidance, Al-Ghazali thought-based guidance and counseling, spirituality cognitive restructuring technique group counseling, Islamic intervention program model, Anwar Sutoyo's Islamic counseling guidance model, SEFT therapy (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique), ode mind map.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is related to the tendency to procrastinate and waste time before collection limits associated with school academic activities. Based on the cognitive theory of procrastination behavior caused by cognitive distortions, it is necessary to make efforts to reconstruct the procrastinator's cognitive behavior. It is believed that a behavioral cognitive approach can be applied to manage procrastination and produce substantial improvements. In particular, the technique used is bibliotherapy. The aim of the study was to examine the effectiveness of bibliotherapy techniques in reducing academic procrastination. Implementation of the intervention using the group counseling setting. This study used a pretest-posttest randomized experimental design. Involving the subject as many as 7 class VIII students who were selected purposively. The main instrument used is the Academic Procrastination Scale (APS). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistical test. The results showed that bibliotherapy techniques were effective in reducing academic procrastination of students at Al Abidin Islamic Junior High School, Surakarta.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. A prominent feature of adolescents in adolescent development is the existence of feelings to love and be loved by others. The capacity to give to one another is equally important to receive love that is generally expressed by dating. The purpose of this study is to describe adolescent courtship behavior, influencing factors, and dating behavior patterns in adolescents. The method used in this research is exploratory qualitative with a data collection tool in the form of an open questionnaire and diary monitoring.           Based on research results found that adolescent dating behavior is divided into two categories, namely dating behavior when with friends and dating behavior when together. Based on the results of the study found that dating in adolescents is still in the category of healthy dating. However, dating behavior in adolescents falls into the category of risky dating behavior. Dating status and never dating affect dating behavior. Factors that influence dating behavior in adolescents include internal factors, friend factors, family factors, and also permissive attitude factors. Adolescent dating patterns of behavior starts from the process of introduction, the process of approach, the process of fall in love, the process of expressing love, the process of going out dating, the process of problem arising, the process of problem solving, and the process of decision making for the continuation of relationships. adolescents tend to do emotion focus coping before solving problems. There are differences in problem solving between adolescent girls and boys.

Abstract

This research intends to know and describe how the group's guidance in social interaction at Yayasan Adi Nugraha Boyolali. The type of research used is qualitative research. Penelitin sees, observations, collects and interprets the data in the field as it is to then draw conclusions. The subject in this study was the chairman of Yayasan Adi Nugraha Boyolali, 2 guiding teachers and two deaf children. Data collection techniques using interviews and observations. Data analysis methods used are data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. Validity of data using source trianggulation. The results of this study showed that the process of mentoring child groups will be given motivation so that the child is always positive thinking, foster self-confidence and way of interacting socially with normal children. While in the process of implementing group guidance there are 4 stages, namely: the initial stage of the group, the transition phase, the activity stage, the final stage of the group.
