Abstract

Mangroves are coastal ecosystems that are able to provide services in the economic and ecological fields. One of them is the utilization of mangrove fruit into syrup processed products. Margasari Village is located in Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency, Lampung Province which has very large mangrove potential. So far, there are still shortcomings in the mangrove syrup produced, such as precipitation, so it is necessary to apply Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) technology to improve the quality of the mangrove syrup. This community service combines experience, knowledge and technology for environmental and sustainable mangrove management so as to be able to contribute to alternative livelihood solutions and improve the economy of coastal communities. The method of implementing this activity includes three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Abstract

Aquaculture is a food production sector that is developing quite rapidly in the world with a projection that production will double in the next 15-20 years. However, to run a cultivation system, you must have a large area of land and large capital. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on all aspects of people's lives. One of the aspects most affected by the pandemic is the economy, namely the occurrence of mass layoffs. Abstract

Seaweed is one of the most valuable aquaculture commodities to be developed. The content of alginate, carrageenan and agar makes seaweed the main ingredient in the manufacture of foodstuffs, beauty and other industries. In its development, seaweed processing is growing, especially in the culinary field. Seaweed meatballs are made from a mixture of meat and seaweed, without flavoring and food coloring, so they have a high nutritional content and are safe for consumption. Training on making seaweed meatballs was deemed necessary at Warna Oesapa Beach to process the abundant seaweed production in NTT. The training is carried out in stages starting from the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The training was held at Color Oesapa Beach, Oesapa Village, Kupang City and was attended by 30 participants. The manufacture of products is carried out according to a predetermined recipe. The result of the training on making seaweed meatballs is that people in Oesapa Village are expected to be able to take advantage of the seaweed harvest so that they can improve their welfare and independence in entrepreneurship. This activity has never been carried out before, so it received a good response from the residents and the village head at Color Oesapa Beach.
