Abstract

Today, smartphones have become the primary needs of many people. With smartphone people can easily communicate with others, surfering on the internet, camera, music player, even playing games. The quality and price of smartphones are various depending on what is offered by the smartphone. Xiaomi is one of smartphone manufacturers currently focusing its products on smartphones at low prices. But Xiaomi constrained several problems for example consumer doubt about the quality of cheap smartphones. The researchers believe that the aspects that trigger consumer purchase decisions are price, product quality, and brand image. Therefore, the author interested to conduct research on the influence of price, product quality, and brand image on Xiaomi smartphone purchase decision in Kelapa Gading. This study uses the communication methods and sampling using non-probability sampling and judgment sampling techniques Questionnaires distributed online through Google Docs media were 103 respondents who use Xiaomi smartphone. The analytical method used to test the model and data processing is a structural equation model (Structural Equation Modelling) using WarpPLS 4.0 and SPSS 20.0. The results showed that price attractiveness, product quality, and brand image positive and significant impact on consumer purchase decision.Keywords: Price Attractiveness, Product Quality, Brand Image, Purchase Decision

Abstract

Training and Motivation are very important in improving employee’s performance. Training is deeply important for the company to train their employees in order to improve employee's competence and performance. Training provided to delivering employee’s knowledges, skills, and expertises to achieve their performance that expected by the company. Motivation is given relates to their work, motivation is to encourage them and creating their good performance for achieve the company’s objectives. This study aims to examine the effect of training and motivation on employee performance at Head Office of PT X in the East Jakarta. This study was conducted with the participation of 49 employees. Data collection method used is field research by using questionnaire instrument. Data analysis uses linear regression technique assited by SPSS. Hypothesis testing is done by F Test and t Test. This study conluded that both training and motivation have a positive effect on employee performance, partially and simultaneously. Keywords: training, motivation, performance

Abstract

As the times progressed, drinking coffee was not just to get rid of sleep, but part of lifestyle. This happens because the increasingly busy urban communities that require a comfortable place to release fatigue. In addition, there is a hedonic motivation that makes people have the desire, self-existence and self-concept searching. So that lifestyle and hedonic motivation can create impulsive purchases of a product or service. Theories used to support this research are definitions, dimensions and indicators related to lifestyle variables, hedonic motivations and impulsive purchases. The research method used is descriptive method with survey approach and causal-predictive method. This study used questionnaires to collect data of 30 respondents for validity and reliability test. Then, as many as 100 respondents for the average test, scale range, multiple linear regression analysis and classical assumption test with non-probability sampling sampling technique with purposive sampling approach. This data is processed using SPSS 20.0 application. Output generated SPSS 20.0. shows that the value (Sig.) 0.001 <0.005 where lifestyle has a significant influence on impulsive purchase and hedonic motivation there is a value (Sig.) 0.018> 0.005 so no significant effect on impulsive purchases. The conclusions of this study indicate that there is sufficient evidence that lifestyle has a significant effect on impulsive purchases and there is not enough evidence that hedonic motivation has a significant effect on impulsive purchases. Keywords : Lifestyle, Hedonic Motivation and Impulsive Buying

Abstract

This paper examines how important occupational safety and health (OSH) programs are in companies regardless of size. This study uses literature studies by collecting various related journal OSH companies. The results of this review indicate that the effectiveness of the OSH program is inseparable from the role of committed leaders and employee participation. Some studies place the PDCA Cycle as a means of maintaining and reviewing OHS programs in an effort to continually improve OSH program. Regular maintenance and reviews help the company to evaluate the effectiveness and consistency of the OSH program for the company's policies, objectives and goals. The effectiveness of the OSH program can also be measured through OSH audit, to see whether the company's OSH program standards and guidelines currently used or implemented can be effective or adequate in controlling the danger of workplace accidents. Effective management of OSH programs can reduce the potential for workplace accidents and reduce the cost of workplace accidents. It can also reduce conflict, encourage better working relationships, improve corporate image, increase motivation, reduces absenteeism, and increase company productivity and performance as competitive advantages. The implementation of the OSH program must be supported by relevant company policies, so that the OSH program can run effectively. Keywords: Effectiveness of the OSH Program; PDCA Cycle; OSH Audit; Policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of dividend policy, funding decision, income smoothing, and institutional ownership of agency cost. The population in this study are all companies of agriculture industry sector and basic industry sector listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2011 until 2015 period. The theory underlying this research is agency theory and cash flow theory. Regression analysis using data from the company's financial statements of sample amounted to 20 companies that have been processed. This research yields the following: 1. Variable dividend policy proved to have no effect on agency cost, 2. Variable of funding decision not proven to have influence to agency cost, 3. Income smoothing proved to have influence to agency cost, 4. Abstract

Environmental pollution has become a serious health threat to Indonesians, especially those who live in industrial estates. Along with technological advances, many companies are competing to produce environmentally friendly products, including cosmetics. This study aims to determine the effect of environmental awareness on purchasing decisions for eco-friendly cosmetics in Cikarang region, one of the largest industrial areas in Indonesia. The independent variables tested in this study are environmental awareness, eco-friendly product awareness, price awareness and brand image; whereas the dependent variable is purchasing decision. The total samples in this study are 150 respondents which are users of eco-friendly cosmetics. Hypothesis testing employs Logistic Regression in order to determine the significance and probability of the influence of each independent variable towards the dependent variable. The results showed that the variable price awareness and brand image significantly influenced the decision to purchase eco-friendly cosmetics. Keywords: Environmental Awareness, Eco-Friendly Product Awareness, Price Awareness And Brand Image

Abstract

The research conducted by this writing team aims to make a study of the selection of ideas that are relevant to innovation management by combining an array of assessment criteria that can be used to identify initial product ideas with the potential for innovation. In this case the researcher develops a framework that is integrated with a theoretical perspective derived from the literature of innovation and creativity. In the creativity literature, insight into novelty and usefulness is studied, while in the innovation literature, insights into novelty and market potential are studied. The results of the framework include the novelty of ideas and product usability with a clear focus on increasing company value through potential markets. This criterion that allows the incorporation of creative ideas for new products with potential innovation performance. In this study also, researchers made an assessment of several Tarumanagara University students based on the peculiarities of the three criteria by always supporting the independent role of each criterion in assessing potential innovations. The results of the study show that novelty, usefulness and market potential are very closely related to the performance of innovation and therefore the assessment criteria must be used so that the performance of innovation from Tarumanagara University in particular and the world community in general is maintained. Researchers hope that the students studied can explain the relevance of each unique criterion and relationship within the framework. Keywords: Innovation, Assessment, and Creative Ideas
