Abstract

The reality that happened in the field was that not all of the test questions made referred to HOTS. Lack of availability of HOTS-based questions causes students to be less trained in developing higher order thinking skills. There are six kinds of Revision of Bloom's taxonomy purpused by Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl (2001) : C1 knowing, C2understanding, C3aplying, C4 analyzing, C5 evaluating, and C6 creates creating. The test questions classified as HOTS are C4 analyzing, C5 evaluating, and C6 creating. This research is clasified as research and development (R & D) developed by Gall, J. P., & Borg, (2003) namely finding Potentials and Problems, Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, and Design Revision. In this study, the product developed was the Middle Semester Assessment test questions on the Mathematics content of class V. The results of the validity were determined by 3 validators using observation sheets. The validity of this question is seen from the suitability of content, construction, and language obtained from validator I getting a score of 81.17% with very valid criteria, validator II getting a score of 77.25% with valid criteria, and validator III getting a score of 94.22% with very valid criteria, with reliability 0,680 (Good).

Abstract

The problem in this research is that there are still many students who get difficulty in making illustration images, most students think that drawing illustrations is a difficult thing, because they have to think of a form of image that can emphasize what is described in the writing or story, because of that many students are less interested, and less active in participating in the learning process. This of course can reduce student motivation to learn illustration drawing techniques. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to increase student motivation by using visual media in drawing illustration materials in class VIII SMPN 3 Batanghari. This research was conducted in September-December 2018. The study consisted of 2 cycles, each cycle going through the stages of planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. The techniques used to collect data were filling out questionnaires, interviews and observations. From the data analysis, it is known that there is an increase in student motivation by using visual media in the illustration drawing material. The increase in the score of teacher and student activity from cycle I to cycle II is from 72.5% to 81.25%. Student activity also increased from 71.43% to 82.14%.

Abstract

Interest in a learning process is a student's tendency to observe, feel, and involve in learning activities accompanied by pleasure. Interest has a very big influence in the learning process, because if the subject taught is not in accordance with student interests, students tend not to learn well because of the lack of attraction coming from the students themselves. This research was clasified as classroom action research (CAR) through two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: designing, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Subjects of this research were the fourth grade students of SDN 14 Sitiung. Data obtained of this research was observation sheets on learning process. Results of the analysis shows that students’ learning outcomes increase from pre-cycle, cycle I to cycle II, namely, pre-cycle (48%), cycle I (63%), and cycle II (86%). It can be said that the demonstration method can increase the students’ learning interest at SDN 14 Sitiung in academic year 2019/2020, so that this method can be used as an alternative to learning Islamic Religious Education in Elementary School.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of grade VI A students at SD Negeri 08 Pulau Punjung, Dharmasraya Regency. A classroom action research has been carried out at SD Negeri 08 Pulau Punjung with the aim of improving mathematics learning outcomes through the STAD type cooperative learning model. Learning has been taking place conventionally, this has resulted in learning outcomes not being maximized as expected. This classroom action research was carried out for two cycles with each cycle having two meetings. Every time a meeting the learning process uses the STAD cooperative learning model. As a means of collecting data is a test of learning outcomes, student worksheets and observation sheets with the steps of planning action, implementing action, observing, evaluating and reflecting for each cycle. Student learning outcomes have increased from the first cycle to the second cycle, marked by an increase in the results of student evaluation of each cycle. Student learning outcomes have increased by an average of 69.37 to 81.33. The increase in the average value of cycle I and cycle II was 12 points. In addition, an increase in the percentage of classical completeness also occurred by 46.63%. Therefore it can be concluded that the application of the Stad Type Cooperative Learning Model (Student Team Asisted Division) can improve the Mathematics learning outcomes of Class VI A Students at SD N 08 Pulau Punjung.
