Abstract

This study has the objective to test stimulus which is given from store environment and store social factor toward impulse buying tendency mediated by positive emotion of consumers at Matahari departement store in  Ambon City. This study is an explanatory research. Population of this study is consumers who shops in Matahari Department Store in Ambon City. With respondent for 128 people, sampling determination is using purposive sampling method. Data analysis technique in this study is using path analysis. Result of the analysis showed that there are direct effects from physical environment and social aspect of the store toward consumerâ??s positive emotion and toward impulse buying tendency. Result of this study also revealed that there are direct effects of consumerâ??s positive emotion toward impulse buying tendency and indirect effects of storeâ??s environment stimulus and storeâ??s social factor toward impulse buying tendency mediated by consumerâ??s positive emotion.   Keywords: Positive Emotion, Impulse buying tendency

Abstract

AbstractPerformance are the result of a complex process, which are come from the employee (internal factors), company situation (external factors) and the company strategic efforts. Performance were able to assessed of corporate achievement objectives. The purpose is to analyzed the effect of emotional intelligence on performance through leadership style and organizational culture as moderator. Using a descriptive correlational method, this research have been conducted in the company of Pertambangan and Energi (Geothermal) in Kamojang. 205 employees selected as respondents by using proportionate random sampling. Questionaire was used as a tool in data collection method. Data analysis techniques is Multiple Regression Analysis. Emotional intelligence has a positive influence on the Performance, Emotional intelligence and transformational leadership positive effect on performance, Emotional intelligence and organizational culture affect the performance, The effect of emotional intelligence with moderation transformational and transactional leadership and organizational culture affects on performance. Organizational culture is the most dominant variable affecting performance and Transformational leadership has a small effect compared to the other three variables, that transformational leadership is considered less support for enterprises to increasing performance, thus a need to develop transformational leadership is a skill.  Keyword : Emotional intelligence, Leadership style, Organizational Culture, Performance.

Abstract

Despite having similar inherited factors such as strategic location doesn’t make the Port of Batam to have similar performance and capability like its neighbouring ports in Malaysia and Singapore. There are policy issues that hindered the development of the necessary resources to tap the lucrative transhipment market in the Malacca Strait. The past positioning as the utility factor for the local industry has back fired when the local demand hasn’t grow strong enough. It also has the impact on the lack of resources including the land for container handling and storage. Due to the limited land-based resources, The Port shall look at the opportunities in other area, its water. The Port may look at and enter the related business in the water such as ship to ship transfer and anchoring business. Port of Batam may also look at the terminaling opportunity on the water, i.e. by implementing the floating container, storage, and transhipment terminal (FCSTT) concept along with the implementation of the same concept in the form of floating, storage and offloading (FSO) for the liquid and gas cargo, thus tapping the oil transfer market in the Malacca Strait as well.Keywords: Port of Batam, Malacca Strait, sea port business, transhipment, floating container terminal

Abstract

Abstrak. Perencanaan strategis sistem informasi kini merupakan salah satu kunci dalam pencapaian sasaran perusahaan, karena harus selaras dengan strategi bisnis yang dijalankan. Model perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang akan dibahas dalam kajian ini adalah menggunakan metode Ward & Peppard. Metode Ward and Peppard merupakan sebuah model yang digunakan untuk menyusun sebuah perencanaan strategik sistem informasi pada suatu industri. Dengan menggunakan metode ini berbagai faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap organisasi, baik internal maupun eksternal dianalisis untuk mendapatkan sebuah formula yang menjadi dasar dalam penyusunan strategi SI/TI baru perusahaan dalam bentuk portofolio SI/TI, yang selanjutnya dapat dijadikan sebuah rencana strategik (renstra) SI/TI. Hasil kajian menunjukkan sebuah model perencanaan strategi sistem informasi industri penerbitan yang selaras dengan strategi bisnisnya. Komponen-komponen yang menentukan pada industri penerbitan yang dipetakan kedalam 4 perspektif BSC, yaitu persepektif keuangan, pelanggan, proses bisnis internal, pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan. Hasil pemetaan ini selanjutnya mengelaborasi kebutuhan SI/TI sejalan dengan strategi bisnis penerbitan menggunakan empat perspektif BSC. KebutuhanSI/TI yang muncul kemudian di inventarisir untuk dijalankan sesuai dengan manajemen strategis SI/TI-nya.Katakunci: perencanaan strategik, sistem informasi, teknologi informasi, metode ward and peppard, penerbit rekayasa sains.Abstract. Strategic planning of information system is now one of the key in achieving the company's goals, as must be aligned with business strategy being executed.  Strategic planning model of information systems to be discussed in this study is using Ward & Peppard. Ward and Peppard method is a model used to develop an information systems strategic planning in an industry. By using this method the various factors that affect the organization, both internally and externally analyzed to get a formula that became a base for the preparation of the strategy / IT Company in the form of a new portfolio / IT, which then can be used as a strategic plan (renstra) of SI / IT. The result of the study showed a model of Strategic Information Systems Planning in publishing industry that is aligned with its business strategy. The components that determine the publishing industry  is mapped to the four BSC perspectives i.e financial perspective, customer, internal business processes, learning and growth. The result of this mapping needs further elaboration / IT in line with business strategy publishing using the four BSC perspectives. Abstract

Abstract. The aim of the paper is to study the value created by foreign firms in Indonesia finance company industry over the period 2001-2011. We analysed the value creation of foreign firms by comparing the key financial performance to local shareholders. Foreign firms are the major players in banking industry and automotive industry with market share more than 90% in both 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler. Meanwhile, the automotive manufacturers and dealers are the one who provide the products of financing for finance company. We analysed 7 micro key financial ratios (profitability, efficiency, growth, firm size, liquidity, solvency and asset quality). We use non parametric Mann Whitney and parametric panel data dummy regression. The empirical results show that finance companies owned by foreign firms are more efficient, lower in profitability, bigger in size, higher in growth capability, lower in liquidity and higher in solvency.

Abstract

Bank BJB dengan permodalan sekitar Rp. 5 trilliun dikategorikan sebagai bank terfokus daerah. Dalam rencana jangka panjangnya, Bank BJB memiliki target pada tahun 2015 menjadi bank nasional yang memimpin dalam layanan dan kinerja, Berdasarkan Arsitektur Perbankan Indonesia, suatu bank dikategorikan sebagai bank nasional jika memiliki cakupan usaha yang luas dan beroperasi secara nasional serta memiliki modal antara Rp. 10 trilliun hingga Rp. 50 trilliun.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji strategi keuangan Bank BJB untuk mencapai permodalan sebagai Bank Nasional. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengkaji kemampuan internal dengan mengevaluasi mengevaluasi kinerja bank saat ini dalam hal pertumbuhan aset, modal, aktiva produktif, profitabilitas, likuiditas, dan efisiensi. Kemudian dilakukan penyusunan proforma model untuk Rencana Bisnis Bank Jangka Menengah, khususnya proyeksi laporan keuangan, proyeksi rasio, rencana pembiayaan, dan rencana permodalan. Dari analisis menunjukkan tiap strategi memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan pada kinerja. Pengurangan dividen payout ratio menyebabkan kenaikan pada rasio BOPO dan ekspansi kredit menunjukkan kenaikan pada rasio LDR hingga melebihi aturan yang telah ditentukan oleh Bank Indonesia. Pada akhirnya, pengambilan keputusan oleh akan strategi keuangan alternatif yang diambil beserta pendanaan dari luarnya ditentukan oleh lingkungan eksternal yang dinamis yang berhubungan dengan teori dividen dan teori sinyaling

Abstract

PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) planned to develop an IT-based integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system called Unified TICARES in 2012 as a part of corporate strategic initiatives. The key question is whether the value of this investment is truly feasible for the company. The purpose of this thesis is to provide an IT-based investment valuation analysis using two approaches, namely the discounted cash flow (DCF) and real options analysis (ROA). It compares the results to find out whether different approach will arrive to different conclusions about the investment feasibility. The finding result from both approaches show that Unified TICARES is a promising investment, indicated by positive NPV. However, the result with ROA did not show much difference against the DCF approach. It indicates that the use of ROA is not always necessary to value an investment due to its complexity. The usefulness of ROA will be visible in valuing investments that involve complex configurations. ROA is also required when DCF is not sufficient to provide quantitative judgment on project that subject to high risk and uncertainty.
