Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

Abstract

This study examines the causal relationship between manufacture export, manufacture ouput and economic growth within a panel vector autoregression (PVAR) for ASEAN countries over the period 2008-2017. The results of this study indicate that the manufacture export and the manufacture output has a one-way causality relationship that is economic growth which affects the manufacture export, the manufacture output has a one-way causality relationship that is economic growth affects the manufacture output, the export and the output manufacture has no causality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of factors (X1) Wife's working hours on welfare, (X2) Wife's last education on welfare, (X3) Husband's last education on welfare in West Sumatra. This study uses the logistic regression method. The sample used was taken from prosperous households based on per capita expenditure in West Sumatra. This study uses Susenas West Sumatra Province data in 2015. The results of the study show that (1) wife's working hours have a significant effect on welfare. (2) Last wife education has a significant effect on welfare. (3) Husband's last education has a significant effect on welfare. (4) Taken together there are significant effects between wife's working hours, wife's last education, and husband's last education on welfare in West Sumatra. From the results of research, Welfare and the dual role of women generally have a positive relationship or relationship. Especially for prosperous households. Households whose wives are involved in earning a living will tend to be more prosperous than households whose wives do not play a role in earning a living, so special attention from the government is needed to provide job training for wives to have skills so that they can play an active role in economy and impact on households that tend to be more prosperous.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inflation, interest rates, primary economic sectors and secondary economic sectors on domestic investment in Indonesia. The type of descriptive and associative research which uses secondary data is the quarterly time series from 2008 to 2019. The data comes from related institutions and agencies. Using the method of multiple linear regression is to see the extent to which the independent variables affect the dependent variable. Generating conclusions: (1) inflation does not have a significant relationship to domestic investment in Indonesia (2) interest rates do not have a significant relationship to domestic investment in Indonesia (3) the primary sector economy has a significant influence on domestic investment in Indonesia (4) the secondary sector economy significant effect on domestic investment in Indonesia (5) inflation, interest rates, primary sector economy and secondary sector economy significantly influence domestic investment in Indonesia.Keywords: Investment inflation, interest rates, primary economic sector, secondary economic sector and Ordinary Lest Square (OLS)

Abstract

The study aims to determine the extent of both of simultaneous and partial influences between the number of tourist objects, tourist attractios, number of hotels and number of restaurant bussines/restaurant to local income in West Sumatera. The type of data in this study is secondary data and uses data panel from 2014-2018 from 19 Regency/City in West Sumatera. The analytical techniques used in this research are multiple linear regression. Based on the result of the test, the simultaneous number of tourist attractions, the number of tourist and the number of hotels has a significant positive impact on the original revenue of the the Regency/City in West Sumatera Province from 2014 to 2018. Meanwhile, the number of restaurant bussines/restaurant has positive impact but not significant on the original income of the Regency/City in West Sumatera Province.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), household concumption, government expenditure of the Indonesian economy. The data used are secondary data in the form of time series from 1983 to 2017, with documentation data collection techniques and library studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are Indonesian Economy (Y), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) (X1), household consumption (X2), government expenditure (X3). The research methods used are: (1) Ordinary Last Square (OLS), (2) Classical Assumption Test, (3) T Test and (4) F Test. The results of the study show that (1) Foreign Direct Investment has a positive and significant effect on the economy Indonesia. (2) household consumption has a positive and significant effect on the economy Indonesia. (3) Government Expenditiure has a positive and significant effect on the economy Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence of deposits, inflation, and credit interest rates on the demand for investment loans from Government Banks in Indonesia. The data used are secondary data in the form of time series from 2010: Q1 to 20108: Q4, with the technique of collecting documentation data and library studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are Investment Credit Demand (Y),deposits (X1), inflation (X2), and credit interest rates (X3). The research method used is Ordinary last Square (OLS). The results of the study show that (1) deposits and inflation have a positive and significant effect on the demand for investment credit, (2) the credit interest rate has a negative and significant effect on the demand for investment credit, and (3) deposits, inflation, and rates Credit interest has a significant effect on the demand for investment credit at Regional Government Banks in Indonesia

Abstract

This study explains to determine the effect of domestic investment, foreign investment, and labor on economic growth in West Sumatera. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series data from 1988-2018, with documentation and library study data collection techniques obtainedfrom relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are economic growth (PDRB), domestic investment, foreign investment and labor, the research methods used are: (1) Multiple Regression Analysis (OLS), (2) Classical Assumption Test which states that: (1) investment in the country has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth in West Sumatera. (2) foreign investment has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatera. (3) labor force has a positive and not significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatera. So only foreign investment has a positive and significant impact on economic growth in West Sumatera.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the determinants of economic growth and poverty in West Sumatra. This study using Simultaneous Equation Model to determine the effect of exogenous variables on endogenous variable, the analysis uses Indirect Least Square (ILS) method. This study uses a data panel (cross section and time series) sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of West Sumatra. The analysis results show that labor, investment, and unemployment has a significant effect on economic growth, otherthat investment, unemployment, and education has a significant effect on poverty, and poverty has a significant effect on economic growth.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to analyze the effect of population, GDP per capita and hotelson local tax revenues in districts / cities in West Sumatra. The data used are secondarydata in the form of panel regression in 19 districts / cities in West Sumatra province. Thesource of this data is the West Sumatra Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The variablesused in this study are population (X1), GDP per capita (X2) and hotels (X3). Themethods used in this research are: (1) Panel Regression Model (2) Classical AssumptionTest (3) t test (4) f test. The results of this study indicate that (1) total population has anegative and significant effect on local tax revenues in regencies / cities in WestSumatra. (2) PDRB Per capita has a positive and significant effect on local tax revenuesin districts / cities in West Sumatra. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia and China.The research type is descriptive research while the data used is time series data from 1987-2016 obtained from documentation of Bank Indonesia, BPS Indonesia, and International Monetary Fund (IMF). The results of this study indicate that : exchange rate and portfolio investment has a significant positive effect on foreign exchange reserve in Indonesia. Net export has a negatif and not significant effect on foreign exchange reserve in Indonesia. While, exchange rate has a negatif and not significant effect on foreign exchange reserve on China’s.
