Abstract

The school-age group of children needs to get the fulfillment of the adequacy of its main nutrients with vegetable consumption. In fact, children still find it difficult to consume vegetables in adequate quantities. The think pair share method makes children will try to think, respond to each other and help in discussions. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of the application of health education with a think pair share learning model on the knowledge and attitudes of school-age children in vegetable consumption. The study used pre-experimental research design (one-group pre-post testdesign). The population in this research is a grade IV student at SDI KHM Noer Surabaya. Sampling with total sampling technique. Respondents in this study numbered 40 respondents. The independent variable in the study was health education with a think pair sharelearningmodel. The dependent variables in the study are knowledge and attitude. Data collection using questionnaires. The data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test statistical test for knowledge and attitudes with significance α≤0.05.The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test show that health education with a think pair share learning model can affecta child's knowledge (p=0.000) and attitude (p=0.000).The results of this study concluded that health education with a think pair share learning model can increase children's knowledge and attitudes in vegetable consumption. Further research is expected to be conducted on the action of vegetable consumption in children with a multivariate statistical approach.

Health education with audio visual media will improve clean and healthy living behaviors because children can hear and see firsthand clean and healthy living behaviors that are good and correct. It is known the influence of health education with audio visual media on clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in grade III-V students at Wanurojo Kemiri Purworejo State Elementary School. The design of this study uses pre experiment (one group pretest posttest). Respondents in this study numbered 45 students aged 8-11 years. The study was conducted on February 25 -28, 2014.Health education with audio visual media affects clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in grade III-V students at Wanurojo Kemiri Purworejo State Elementary School (P<0.01). Abstract

One form of learning process with Competency-Based Curriculum system (KBK) is to use tutorial methods. The role of student learning is essentially in a tutorial is a group discussion process that requires management skills. The success of the tutorial discussion will be greatly influenced by the stages of the structure that must be undertaken by students called the Seven Jump methode. This research aims to find outthe influence of the use of tutorial methods(seven jump) on the activeness of studying students of the second semester of midwifery at the Midwifery Care I course at the Academy of Midwifery Nyai Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta in 2013. This study uses quasi design experiments. Use non-equivalent control groupdesign. The sample in the study numbered 37 people with a division of 15 samples as an experimental group and 22 samples as a control group. Data analysis uses frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using wilcoxon match paired test statistics. Based on the research conducted, there was a significant increase in the activeness of students studying in the second semester of MIDWIFERY AT OBSTETRICS I Pre and Post Test In The Experimental Group p = 0.001 < 0.05. The increase before and after the intervention was 18.73. There was no significant increase in the activeness of study of second semester students of MIDWIFERY AT midwifery in the Midwifery Care Course I Pre and Post Test In The Control Group p = 0.928 > 0.05. The difference before and after the intervention was 0.04. The advice from researchers is expected to improve the quality of learning about Midwifery Care I by using a variety of learning media, so that students better understand Midwifery Care I.

Abstract

Short term memory is a storage system for holding small amounts of information with a duration of 15-30 seconds for about 7 things. Regular exercise can increase a person's VO2max value. A good VO2max will cause an increase in the hormones BDNF, IGF-1 and FGF. The increase in these hormones can increase the stimulation of neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and in the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricles so as to produce good short-term memory function as well. This study aims to determine the relationship between VO2max and short-term memory in students of the Faculty of Sports Science, Medan State University. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The population of this study were students of the Faculty of Sports Science, Medan State University. The sample in this study were 40 students selected by purposive sampling technique. VO2max was measured using the 12 minute Cooper Test and short term memory was measured using the Digit Symbol Substitution Test. Data analysis in this study used Fisher's test and found that there was no relationship between VO2max and short-term memory in students of the Faculty of Sports Science at Medan State University with p = 0.723. There is no relationship between VO2max and short-term memory in students of the Faculty of Sports Science, Medan State University.
