Abstract

The study aims to investigate: 1) The effect of self-efficacy on the independene learning of mathematics; 2) The effect of learning motivation on the independene learning of mathematics; 3) The effect of self-efficacy and learning motivation as an aggregate on the independene learning of mathematics. This type of research is a quantitative with an approach ex-post facto. The population in this research is eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Musuk. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling is class VIII G SMP Negeri 1 Musuk. The data were collected through a questionnaire and documentation. The hypothesis testing used simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows. 1) There is a positive effect and significant of self-efficacy on the independene learning of mathematics, indicated by a correlation coefficient value of 0.770, a determination coefficient value 0,593 and  tvalue ttable of (6,6062,042); 2) There is a positive effect and significant of learning motivation on the independene learning of mathematics, indicated by a correlation coefficient value of 0,852, a determination coefficient value 0,727 and  tvalue ttable of (8,9282,042); 3) There is a positive effect and significant of self-efficacy and learning motivation on the independene learning of mathematics, indicated by a correlation coefficient value of 0,873, a determination coefficient value 0,762 and Fvalue Ftable of (8,9282,042).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of students' mathematical reasoning abilities, profiles of visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles and the correlation of reasoning abilities with students' learning styles. This type of research is a non-experimental quantitative research using the correlation method. The technique used in obtaining the data for this study was a learning style questionnaire and a test of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMPIT Al-Falah Bandungan with a total of 89 students. The results of this study showed that the profile of students' mathematical reasoning abilities of class VIII SMPIT was in the medium category with a percentage of 50%. For the profile of the learning style of class VIII SMPIT students, the trend of learning style is visual learning style with a percentage of 40%, auditory learning style by 37%, and as many as 17% have a kinesthetic learning style, and there are 2 students who have a combined learning style, namely learning styles visual-kinesthetic and visual-auditorial. Then the relationship between mathematical reasoning ability and student learning style is in a strong interval with a value of 0.4536464 and a significant correlation level of 2.561 with a relationship level of 19%, it proves that 19% of students' mathematical reasoning ability is determined by learning style, and the rest is determined by factors other.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of the concept of students who received Cartesian coordinates material using web-based GeoGebra media and students who received Cartesian coordinates material with WhatsApp Group and to find out whether web-based GeoGebra media was effective in understanding mathematical concepts of Cartesian coordinates material. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. Samples were selected through purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Hypothesis Testing. The results showed that the use of web-based GeoGebra media can help students understand mathematical concepts, as seen from 30 students, the average pretest score was 55,417 and the posttest average was 74,333. While the use of WhatsApp Group does not help students in understanding mathematical concepts, it can be seen from 32 students that the average pretest score is 50.313 and the posttest average is 67.734. Furthermore, from the results of the independent sample t-test the results of the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.0160.05, then as the basis for decision making in the independent sample t-test, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there are differences in the understanding of the concepts of students who are taught using web-based GeoGebra media and WhatsApp Group material on Cartesian Coordinates. We can see this difference from the average posttest value of the experimental class of 74,333, more than the average posttest value of the control class of 67,734. This means that the use of web-based GeoGebra media is effective in understanding students' mathematical concepts of Cartesian coordinates.

Abstract

The internalization of Islamic religious values so far has only been carried out in classroom learning activities so that there is no synergy between Islamic religious values and scouting activities. This study aims to determine Islamic religious values in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), how to internalize Islamic religious values in scouting activities at Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and the impact of internalizing Islamic religious values on scouting activities at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. To carry out the research, the researchers used a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at MTs Ma'arif Balong Ponorogo by taking the object of Teacher Scouts in the internalization of Islamic religious values. In conducting this research, the type of research chosen is qualitative. To collect data from the various sources mentioned above, several methods were used, namely in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Then for the data analysis technique, the Miles and Huberman Interactive Data Analysis Model. The results of this study are (1) Islamic religious values at MTs Ma'arif Balong Ponorogo, namely the value of worship, moral values, and social values, (2) how to internalize Islamic religious values in scouting activities at MTs Ma'arif Balong Ponorogo namely by using the method of religious habituation and memorization, and (3) the impact of internalizing Islamic religious values on scout activities at MTs Ma'arif Balong Ponorogo, namely increasing faith, piety, worship, exemplary, and improving student morals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of conformity between Class VII Mathematics Textbooks with Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of Curriculum 2013. Starting from the suitability of Basic Competencies from Core Competencies 1, Core Competencies 2, Core Competencies 3, and Core Competencies 4. The research method used is qualitative descriptive approach The primary data source used is the Mathematics Textbook for Class VII Semester 2 Revised 2017 Edition published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. While the secondary data sources are journals and relevant previous research results. The data collection used is a document content analysis (content analysis). To check the validity of this research data by increasing persistence. This descriptive research is intended to describe and analyze the level of conformity of the book with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies. The results of this study, the level of conformity of the Mathematics Textbook for Class VII Semester 2 Revised 2017 Edition with the Implementation of Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of the 2013 Curriculum obtained a score of 86.5% in the "very good" category. The level of conformity of Basic Competency 1 from Core Competency 1 is 60% (Good Enough). The level of conformity of Basic Competency 2 from Core Competency 2 is 100% (Very Good). The level of conformity of Basic Competency 3 from Core Competency 3 is 93% (Very Good). The level of conformity of Basic Competency 4 from Core Competency 4 is 93% (Very Good).
