Abstract

This research entitled "The Effect of Rewards and Sanctions on Employee Performance in the Center for Development and Empowerment of Educators and Education Personnel in the Field of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (PPPPTK BMTI) Cimahi City". In this research, the method used is quantitative method. The sampling technique used in this research is probability sampling, which is a sampling technique that provides equal opportunities for each element (member) of the population to be selected as a member of the sample. Based on data processing carried out by calculating the WMS (Weight Means Score), it shows the average general tendency for reward and sanctions variables and employee performance variables to be in good category. The results of the analysis of the correlation coefficient between variable X and variable Y obtained a positive result of 0.539 which indicates that variable X and variable Y have a "strong" relationship. The results of the significance test for the correlation coefficient indicate that with the test rules tcount ttable 5.116 1.998. So Ha accepted. Then in the analysis results the coefficient of determination variable X contributes to variable Y by 29% while the other 71% is found in other factors. Then the results of a simple regression analysis show 22.605 + (0.539) X, if the rewards and sanctions (X) increase, the employee performance (Y) will increase by 0.539. This means that if the rewards and sanctions increase by 0.539, the employee's performance will increase by 0.539. The conclusion of this study is rewards and sanctions and employee performance have a positive influence with the category of strong relationship strength. This positive relationship indicates that the increasing rewards and sanctions will have an effect on improving employee performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of phenomena that occur in the moral and moral decline of adolescents in Indonesia. The management of character education for students is in a strategic position because the center of educational services is focused on students. Student character education needs to be planned thoroughly and systematically according to the needs of students. Researchers took the research focus as follows: (1) how the students’ coaching is planned, (2) how the students’ coaching is conducted, and (3) how the students’ coaching is evaluated at SMK Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung. The method used in this study is qualitative equipped with descriptive method. SMK Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School is here as an effort to realize the vision and mission of the Daarut Tauhiid Foundation to create experts in dhikr, thought and endeavors towards creation that has good character. The character education method used and adapted to the conditions of character education of students such as exemplary, habituation of BAKU character (Good and Strong), creation of climate and culture of Daarut Tauhiid and reward and punishment. Records of Islamic religious lessons and paying attention to basic scientific materials that support subjects that involve students and their educators can be relied on 24 hours a day and supported by a dormitory as a permanent residence for students. Control of students' character education is carried out effectively through teachers and musyrif/ah. It is carried out in several stages, namely one-week coordination evaluation, monthly meetings, final semester meetings and annual meetings conducted by the leadership together with teachers and musyrif / ah.

Abstract

In general, this research aims to construct the instrument of health diagnostic of organizing resources specifically in training institute, which is used to overcome a problem or confusion experienced by the head of the institute in analyzing the organizing function. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The techniques used in compiling the instruments made up of three stages. The first stage is conducting the constructed test by revising the question items assisted with the lecturer. The second stage is constructing tests given to the respondents through questionnaires distribution to PPPPTK IPA, PPPPTK BMTI, and PPPPTK TK and PLB with the help of Google Form. Finally, the third stage consists of various tests, such as the validity test, reliability test, and Weight Mean Score. The total population is 278 and the number of samples is 165. This research used a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Based on the calculation, the total respondent in this research is 167 with the r table and the reliability test obtained are 0.1277 and 0.933 respectively. As to the health resources organizing in PPPPTK IPA, PPPPTK BMTI and PPPPTK TK and PLB can be pictured in a "healthy" level, this shows that the three institutes have implemented resources organizing activities in training institute according to the health diagnostic instrument of resources organizing in training institute, filled in by the respondents based on the tendency calculation of the average Weight Mean Score (WMS), with a total average dimension of 3.04 or 76.00 and a score converted to a scale of 1-100 (healthy category).

Abstract

Leadership in an organization has a major influence on achieving its goals. The main research question of this study was thus whether the leadership in the organization is running well. Hence, an instrument is required. That leads to why this author was interested in researching it with the title "An Analysis of Leadership Health Diagnostic Instruments in Training Institutes." This study aims to make an instrument of leadership health diagnostic that can be useful to determine the health category of each training institutes being observed. Besides, to overcome any issues in carrying out management functions. The method used in this study was a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted in the form of questionnaires, with data being gathered via google form. The sample of this study was the head centre, leaders at each division, field, and section as well as 165 employees from three training institutes, namely PPPPTK BMTI, PPPPTK IPA, and PPPPTK TK PLB. The technique used was a proportional stratified random sampling technique with calculations using the Taro Yamane or Slovin formula. Hence, the finding suggests that the three institutes are interpreted in the "healthy" category. This indicates that leadership activities and management functions have been well-conducted. Overall, the average calculation results of the general tendency are 3.54 or equal to 88.5.

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Principal Leadership Style in Carrying Out Management Functions in State Senior High School 1 Baleendah. The purpose of this study was to describe the tendency of the principal's leadership style in State High School 1 Baleendah, Bandung Regency. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sources of data in this study were the principal, vice principal of the curriculum field. deputy principal for student affairs, deputy principal in the field of infrastructure, deputy principal in the field of public relations, teachers, and administrative staff. The data technique used interviews, observation and documentation study. Data were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data and drawing data in narrative form. The results showed that: the leadership style used by the principal of State Senior High School 1 Baleendah tended to use democratic amd participative leadership. 1) The leadership of the principal, including the planning process, tends to use a democratic and visionary leadership style. 2) The organizing process tends to be carried out in a democratic and participative leadership style. 3) The implementation process tends to be carried out with a task-oriented leadership style and human relations that prioritizes cooperative relations and general and personal direction and guidance. 4) The process of supervision tends to be carried out with delegative leadership style by supervising directly and giving trust to subordinates to supervise so as not to continuously supervise by going around the classroom, overseeing the performance of teachers and employees.

Abstract

This study entitled the effect of compensation on teacher teaching performance at SMPK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung using descriptive methods through a quantitative approach. The data model analysis used was literature study analysis and interviews. This study has 40 respondents. The results of the compensation calculation show that the WMS calculation has an average total indicator score of 2.58 or sufficient. Meanwhile, the Teacher Teaching Performance based on the WMS calculation has an average total indicator score of 3.11 or high. Researchers suggest that stakeholders can increase compensation to improve Teacher Teaching Performance.

Abstract

Background research on the problem of how much influence the head of the field interpersonal communication has on the level of work stress of employees in the field of Senior High School Development at the Education Office of West Java Province. The research method used is a descriptive method supported by literature study. The technique carried out in this study consists of two stages. In the early stages, questionnaires were distributed via Google Form to the West Java Provincial Education Office in the PSMA Sector, the second was to test the validity and reliability tests, and data analysis while the total population of this study was 37 people, and the number of samples was the same as the population because it used the technique. total sampling. Based on the results of data processing calculated using the Weight Means Scores (WMS) technique, it shows that the general trend for variable X (Interpersonal Communication) is 4.33 and is in the very good category. Meanwhile, the average general trend for variable Y (Job Stress) is 4.22 which is in the very good category. The results of the calculation of the normality test of the distribution show that the X and Y variables are normally distributed. Judging from the calculation of the correlation coefficient (Tcount) using the Perason Product Moment formula, the correlation coefficient value is 0.402. This shows that there is a strong enough relationship between the Y variable. The results of the significant test with the t-test show that the t-test is 2,595 and it is known that the t-table is 1.689 when compared, then tcount ttable. To determine the influence of variable X and variable Y is shown from the calculation of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (KD) of 16.1%. Based on the results of the above research, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between the Head of Field Interpersonal Communication on the Work Stress Level of Employees in the Field of Senior High School Development at the Education Office of West Java Province. The results of this study are expected to provide a benefit both for institutions, employees and for future researchers who will examine communication problems on the level of work stress.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain overview an effect of achievement motivation on the productivity of government employe in the center for teacher and education personel development of mechanical and industrial engineering Bandung. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using a closed questionnaire that was distributed to 66 government employe in PPPPTK BMTI Bandung as a research sample. The hypothesis proposed is the exixtence of a positive and significant effect between achievement motivation (X) on the productivity (Y) of government employe in PPPPTK BMTI Bandung. Weight Means Score (WMS) calculation results show that achievement motivation scores of 3,36 are included in the very high category and work productivity get a value of 3,46 included in the very high category. To test the research hypothesis several steps were carried out, namely correlation analysis between variabels using Pearson Product Moment obtained a result of 0,821 wich showed the correlation of reliation between the 2 variables was at the level of a positive and very strong relation. Then the significance test using t test result obtained thitung 11,495ttabel 1,997 means that there is a significant relation between the X variabel and the Y variable. The coefficient of determination test result obtained that the variable X affects the Y variable by 67,4% and the rest is influensced by other variables not examined in this research, while in the regression analysis obtained by (Y ) ̂= 16,585 + 0,821X equation this means that if there is an increase of one in the Y variable it will be followed by an increase of 0,821 in the X variable. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant and positive influence between achievement motivation on the productivity of government employe in the center for teacher and education personel development of mechanical and industrial engineering Bandung.

Abstract

New students admission (PPDB) zoning system policy is considered ineffective in achieving goal of equitable education access and services in Indonesia. And also considered unable to eliminate people's views about favorite schools, especially in SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya which has huge enthusiasts, and there were registrants buildup, so that PPDB services held by schools became less than optimal. This research means to describe management of implementation PPDB zoning system in SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This research used qualitative methods with descriptive approach. The data sources were head of the branch education office regional XII, vice principal, and committee of PPDB. The data collection used interviews, and documentation study techniques. The results showed that: 1) PPDB zoning system planning including understanding of applicable policy, determination requirements, capacity and zoning, budgeting, and socialization. 2) PPDB zoning system organizing is done by departmentalization based on dividing division of main tasks and functions of each committee, and adjusted to school needs. 3) PPDB zoning system actuating including registration, data input, data verification, selection, announcement of selection results, and re-registration. 4) PPDB zoning system controlling is implemented by the controlling team, head master, branch of education office regional XII, West Java Provincial Education Office, mass media and public users of PPDB services. Based on the research results, it was found that schools were not fully ready for implementing PPDB zoning system because there were advantages and disadvantages. So, it needs a massive sosialization to the public and an evaluation for improving this zoning policy.
