Abstract

Business competition is a common thing in the corporate world. As time goes by, business competition faced by the company is also getting tougher. This requires the company to be more careful in formulating a strategy to win the competition. Seeing the fierce increasing competition, the authors observed that PT. JAS Tour and Travel needs to establish the exact formulation of competitive strategy to find the factors of internal and external key that can affect the level of success of the strategy. Strength of business travel agencies will be capital in competitive advantage of opportunities that exist.This study aims to determine competitive strategy what is the most appropriate for use by PT. JAS Tour And Travel in order to maintain the existence amid increasing fierce competition. The strategy formulated by analyzing the internal and external forces, and the opportunities and threats of the company.The method used is a qualitative descriptive study to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Analysis of the data used is the data collection phase, the stage of data analysis and decision-making stage.Based on research conducted by SWOT analysis as a media strategy formulation, PT. JAS Tour And Travel supports aggressive strategy. The input stage includes EFE matrix with a total value of 2.85 and IFE matrix with a total value of 2.90. While the results of the matrix CP is known that the indicators of competition are: PT. JAS Tour And Travel 3.85, Senandika Tour And Travel amounted to 3.60, and Manalu Jaya Travel at 3.65. SWOT matrix matching phase and the matrix IE. SWOT analysis showed that PT. JAS Tour And Travel is in quadrant I, which states that PT. JAS Tour And Travel supports aggressive strategy. From the matrix IE, known that. JAS Tour And Travel is in quadrant V which is a strategy to preserve and defend. Therefore, PT. JAS Tour And Travel can consider two alternative strategies, namely market penetration and product development. Phase decision to use a QSPM matrix and obtained a total value of the highest appeal and the right to apply the company is a market penetration strategy with a value of 6.00. The proposed strategy can be applied to improve the quality of services and conduct market development.

Abstract

The government formed an agency to provide free health services for the poor through the health insurance program. The application of the application of the national guarantee is carried out by BPJS Health. Based on this background the author is interested in writing this thesis to find out and understand how the effectiveness of the implementation of the BPJS Health program in providing services to the economically weak community at the Helvetia District Health Center, Medan. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with primary data collection in the form of interviews and field observations, and secondary data collection in the form of documentation and literature study. Determination of informants in this study using a purposive technique sampling. From the results of this research, it was concluded that in accordance with the analysis tools of the effectiveness indicators, namely, the objectives of program implementation, the accuracy of the methods and targets of program implementation, the success of program implementation, how to obtain resources in implementing the program, adequate facilities and infrastructure, the state of human resources ( Human Resources) are adequate, the performance of employees in providing services has been achieved quite well so that the implementation of the BPJS Health program at the Helvetia Health Center in providing services to the economically weak community is quite effective. However, there are still some obstacles that come from the community that must be overcome so that services can run well.

Abstract

Implementation of the policy of New Student Acceptance (PPDB) Online is a process of implementing well-formulated education policy. Online PPDB Policy is used as a basis for implementing new student acceptance system by online. to assess the success of the implementation of PPDB Online policy can be seen from 2 major variables namely policy content and policy implementation environment. This objective is to find out how the implementation of the policy of acceptance of new learners (PPDB) Online and see the problems that arise when implementing the policies implemented by the Education Office of North Sumatra province.The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach in which the study was a descriptive study is to determine or describe the reality of events. Data collection techniques are Interviews, Observations, and documents related to the research. Data analysis techniques in this study were conducted qualitatively. This study uses nine policy implementation variables from Merilee S Grindle covering the interests of the target group, Type of benefits received, Degree of change, Location of decision making, Program implementers, Resources, power, interests, and strategies, Institutional characteristics, Compliance level .From the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of the policy of new student enrollment (PPDB) at the middle school level has been running well in terms of the content of the policy, the benefits received, the expected changes, the location of the decision and the Characteristics of Institutions and Regimes, The Power, Interest, And Strategy Of The Actors Involved. However, in terms of policy implementers, resources and compliance levels have not gone well. It is inhibiting the success of the implementation of the policy of new students (PPDB) Online.

Abstract

Global economic crisis that hit the world economy, demands countries to improve its market strategy. A country needs to manage its country image as a company managed its brand image. Because a powerful nation brand, will bring a great inbound and outbound effect as well. Inbound effect is related to investment and tourism, whereas outbound effect is related to export and human resources. Korea is one of those countries that are serious about building its Nation brand through the spread of its pop culture (Korean Wave) and spends million annually to the Korean Wave. It suggests a real discussion about the influence of the Korean Wave towards the Nation brand of South Korea.The aims of this research to determine the influence of the Korean Wave among the students of the Faculty of Social and Political Science, University of North Sumatra towards the Nation brand of South Korea.This research is an associate research with quantitative approach, carried out at the Faculty of Social and Political Science, University of North Sumatra from December 2016 to January 2017. Data collection was done by spreading the questionnaire to 148 respondents who knew and or like Korean pop culture, in this case, its music and drama.The research result shows that the Korean Wave has significant influence towards the Nation brand of South Korea. The amount of influence is equal to 48.6%, while the remaining 51.4% is influenced by other factors which were not examined in this study.

Abstract

E-government policy is one form of reform in the implementation of services for the public in Indonesia which aims to improve effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public service implementing institutions in terms of achieving organizational goals. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of Electronic Government at the Department of Investment and One Stop Integrated Licensing Services (DPMPPTSP) Deli Serdang Regency.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This method aims to explain reality contextually, interpret phenomena that are of concern to researchers and understand participants' perspectives on the problems that occur. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews with resource persons, and secondary data was obtained through literature and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is a model approach with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results of this study reveal that E-government in DPMPPTSP can be implemented quite well from increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of licensing services. The communication factors, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure in DPMPPTSP are also quite good. The absence of spatial planning regulations makes the licensing process inefficient because it adds to the bureaucracy. DPMPPTSP is advised to provide ICT technical training to employees so that DPMPPTSP's performance is even better.
