Abstract

This paper analyzes the numerals satu in Melayunese of Papua. The mayor theory applied is numerals categories. This numerlia is the meaning one. This numeralia in Indonesianese as like prefix se- also composed with all kinds of category, likes: nomina, verb, adverbia, adjectiva, and numerals, not only nominal.The meaning of satu not only one, but olso a or an, some, sometime (after arirved), ad so on. Composite by numeralia satu ‘one’  were uncountable numerals, or not countable. The structures numeralia satu of Melayu Papua is satu ‘one’. The structures of numralia satu ‘one’ in bahasa Indonesia same with prefiks se-.

Abstract

Folksong is a part of the oral tradition. It was born from the people cultures. Wampasi Wambarek is a folksong from Biak’s people. It consists of eight lyrics. This research tells about Wampasi Wambarek folksong. This research discusses about its meaning on that folksong using the hermeneutics approach. The method of this reseach is a qualitative description. It is a library research. Its data was collected by reading teks and note recording technique. The hermeneutics approach was used by researcher’s interpretation. So it was analyzed according by the words on its folksong lyrics, the lyrics on that folksong, and the comprehensive meaning of folksong.

Abstract

Language is underlyng the classification of experiences differently, and this classifications are not always realized by the speakers. The classification that appears in the language system reflect mind or psychology of speakers. The study aims to determine the classification the domain of clothin knowledge by Javanese speakers. This research using the etnosemantics theory. The results showed that domain of clothing knowledge in the Javanese language, as reflected in the lexicon used, classified according to two things, namely the physical characteristics and its function of clothing in the life.

Abstract

Archeology is a part of science that can not stand alone, so id needs other knowledge. To find archeology remain or archeological site, the archeolog take the first information from the people and writing source. Papua tradition on past is oral tradition, so it difficult for archeolog to find archeology remain or archeological site. But Papua richer the folklore that can be history and place source. Folklore using as the first information on archeology research is the new thing, and it can apply on Papua.

Abstract

Hegemony is not the domination context by using the dominance, but the convention accompany leaders. In economy activity mission, Gramsci mention three parts. The first parts might be created economics collective aware in certain social unit. The second part is the part that the members from a class unit get solidarity aware on it, but still on economics environment naturally. The third part is somebody becomes aware that his interest corporate in present and future developing block the corporations limits from natural economics class, but raising on the other subordinates groups. This momen namely being hegemony which the leadership of fundamental group for subordinate groups on economics activity context.On cultural level, Gramsci devides the hegemony into three culture forms, it is the hegemonic culture, settle culture, and come on up  cultura. Hegemonic culture is the culture that hand up the leader on idea about culture commonly as a unity. The settle culture is past culture that struggle to depend their live. And the come up culture is the culture that lives on struggle to get and create hegemony. Based that phenomenon, Sri Sumarah story by Umar Kayam is a literary work that implicate to hegemony of Javanese culture.

Abstract

Departing from the fiction including the view that folklore is not born from nothing, reflecting sosial customs Sentani contained in the stories legends of Lake Sentani occurrence in trying to decribed. Reflections customs in the story are examined using structural and sociological theory. By combining both theories, can be found reflection in the community mores Sentani a form of power a leader who termed ondofolo so vast and majestic, the concept of social decorum (in term of eating) in the family, the function, and position in society bracelets accessories Sentani.

Abstract

Papua women has duties on family and custom. They must do the heavy duties and they also get the physically violence from their husband. They lives on depression, but they have larger dominance. The dominance born from the weakness and depression. Woman as family beginning has get confession that shown in Papua folklores. Description of women position on folklores use literary sociology and feminism with deconstruction method. This analysis shown the women has the big duty on their family and community.

Abstract

Now the condition of society badly. Dispute, killing, social discrepancy, robbery, corruption, sexual despising, deception, and slanders occur wherever. Concerned to that society condition growing spirit for studying its reasong and looking for its solution. Its ending is the same perception to do characters education. The literary work has the good education values as charactes education hope. The variety of character education in Papua oral tradition will be discuss in this papers.
