This paper purposes to explain transcendental value in Watuwe and Towyatuwa is a folklore of Keerom. The result of this analysis found the values as follows: (1) animism and dynamism belief, (2) human limitedness, (3) mystic, irrational, and supernatural power, and (4) good attitudes, patience and effort for the glorify process.

Namaku Tewerawut is a roman tells about Asmat people in Papua. It was written by Ani Sekarningsih and published in 2000. The researcher interested to analyze about appreciating arts of the Asmat people because no research about it before. Based from Namaku Tewerawut roman, Asmat people are animism and dynamism. Its religion system influences their appreciation to arts values. Their arts appreciation was drawn by the author in description method. So it had described page by page, paragraph by paragraph, and word by word to analyze that parts. The conclusion of this research is the religion system of Asmat can we see on their arts appreciating.

Analisis Konstraktif Fonologi Bahasa Indonesia dengan Bahasa Mee sebagai Pendekatan Alternatif Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Tingkat SD di Kabupaten Nabire dan Paniai Simin Althur

This article is aqualitative research using contrastivea nalysis method for contrasting the Indonesian phonological system with that of the Mee language phonology, spoken by the Mee tribe in the regencies of Nabire and Paniai Papua, in order tofind similarities and differences inthetwo phonological systems. Both have the same sub system in (1)vowels/a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/and rising diphtongs/ay/and/aw/. (2) Both have the same consonant subsystem in (a)bilabial/p/, /b/, /m/, /w/; (b) alveolar/t/, /d/,/n/; (c) velar/k/and/g/;and (d)palatal/y/. (3) Both have these identical phonemes/w/ and /y/ in the initial and medial positions.(4) Both have these syllable patterns V and CV. Differences are observed in(1)the vowel/ə/,which is only found in the Indonesian system.(2) The diphthongs/ey/, /ew/, and/ow/ which are only found in the Mee language. (3) these phonemes: labiodental-fricative/f/; alveolar-fricative/s/and/z/; alveolar-vibrating /r/; lateral/l/; palatal/c/and/j/; lamino-palatal fricative/š/or/sy/;palatal-nasal /ň/or/ny/; velar-fricative/x/or/kh/; velarnasal/ŋ/or/ng/; glottal-fricative /h/ which are only found in the Indonesian system. (4) theconsonants in the Indonesian system can be generally distributed initially, medially and finally,except for/c/, /j/,/g/, /z/, /w/, /y/, /ň/which cannot be found finally, and the phoneme/ŋ/cannot be found initially. (5) Oonly the Indonesian system has consonant clusters, and (6) the Indonesian system has the following syllable patterns VC, CVC, CCV, CCVC, CCCV, CCCVC, CCVCC, CVCC while the Mee system only has these patterns V and CV.

Since Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is triggered, alot of speculation about the emergence of language. The data were found to date only limited fossil hominid skull, while the language itself does not fossilize. The data is the presence of artifacts of early human handiwork. Although the form of fossil skulls and artifacts, this data can be used to reconstruct the early emergence of language. Hominid fossils analyzed is representative for homo erectus skull found in Central Java Sangiran about 700,000 years old. Homo erectus fossil skull is the most complete Sangiran 17. Based on the analysis of the skull of Homo erectus Sangiran 17 is known that early man was able to speak, while the language is merely a proto-language.

This article entitle "Analysis of Dieksis in Short Story of Jakarta by T. Tjitrawasita (A Review Stilistika)". This article used stilistika approach. This is important because language literature using language media in a typical expression. Stilistika approach, meaning through force disclosure works in a literary works can be expressed objectively. The purposes of this article is to reveal the role deiksis in a work of literature (short stories) that can express the meaning of a work through the built elements such as character, setting, plot, and theme. The method of writing is descriptive qualitative. The source data comes from the primary data through the work itself is a short story Jakarta and secondary data through multiple sources of reference that has nothing to do with the primary data. The result showed that deiksis used not only as a style, not having any role, but the choice deiksis able to give meaning to a work typically.

Issues examined in this study is how the image of youth-teruni Bali of the sociological aspects of the novel Sukreni Girl Bali. The method used in the data menganalisis is descriptive analytic method. The aim was to obtain an overview of image-teruni cadet Bali in Bali Girl Sukreni novel of the sociological aspects. The result of this analysis of the image of youth-teruni Bali in conjunction with another character in person is the image of the submissive teruni to parents, teruni a double love, the image of youth that promotes friendship, the image of youth who tried to resuscitate the elderly, and youth who rebel against their parents, while the image of youth-teruni Bali in relation to society is touth-image teruni responsible for customs and disturbing the public image of a cadet.

This paper discusses the culture and character of the nation's current begins to drop. The decline of the nation's character is currently characterized by a variety of cases that arise in the midst of society, such as the fight between students, between students, sex crimes, vandalism-destruction, corruption, and many other cases. Various of the above cases can only be addressed through the establishment and development of national character. To establish and build the character of the nation toward a better one that needs to be addressed is through education that uses a cultural approach. Only through a cultural approach potential learners will be developed. The cultural approach in this case can be done through the teaching of Indonesian language. The cultural approach include learning methods, learning models, and teacher professionalism in teaching, and is no less important is the awareness of teacher to constantly improve their capabilities and skills. Through the capabilities and skills of the least qualified teachers will be implemented to the student about how to build the character of the nation in school.

Literary language is a special language. The specialty of language in literature is shown in processing words and sentences that are all capable of creating a sense of beauty in it. Characteristics of literary language can be seen in the use of language or beautiful aesthetic. No formal grammar that governm the use of language in a literary work. Each author's literary use of language cen be freely according to his own way of conveying thoughts, feelings, ideas.

Novel Tanah Tab, wrote by Anindita S. Thayf is a novel attempt to describe ethnographic reality of what happened in the Land of Papua. Mama Mabel as a main character called Papua as sacred land or taboo land. Political reality, the reality of a patriarchal culture that marginalize the wife in the household, the reality some people are disappointed with the presence of Timika gold mining, and reality that officers are sometimes wrong actions in dealing with the problem in Papua, Papuan people and the denial in part on immigrant communities into an interesting story to be analyzed.The purpose of the analysis is novel Tanah Tabu to enrich the reader and give an overview of the events that are taking place in the Earth Cenderawasih. Despite only using intrinsic theory and methodology of all the descriptive analysis of the facts described trying analyzed. The results of the analysis of the novel is indeed the Land Tabu two different sides. First, the main character who has a charismatic figure, intelligent, critical, daring, and a fighter is a Mama named Mabel. Mama Mabel's and drives all of the events and issues in the novel. Being female besides Mama Mabel, which Mama Helda and overview of Papuan women traders, is the image of women that is so sad. They are marginalized by her own husband, beaten, serve because they have bought, considered as a fairness and has been going on for generations wihtout them able to get out of the circle.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) image building can be represented through many ways, one of them reflected on his international speeches. On this way, argumentation phases in the speeches can form social construct, self image, public opinion, new meaning and world-view. Based on critical linguistic point of view, word choice, sentence arrangement, and sentence pattern on speeches show a language expertise. This research aims at describing grammar used of SBY international speeches related with self image building.This research uses critical linguistics approach proposed by Fowler (1979) via Young and Harrison (2004:3) which focuses on two metafunctions of Systemic Functional Linguistics Halliday, ideational and textual function. The source of data are mine texts of SBY’s international speech in the tear of 2011 chosen based on some criteria; updated topics, variation of topics, and abundant data. Then, data are chosen, noted, and identified based on formulation of the problems. On data analysis, Norman Fairlough framework applied in analyzing the data. Based on limitation of Halliday’s metafunction, only were two levels chosen; textual analysis and social practice analysis. Besides, relevant studies were done to get detail and complete explanation.Based on data analysis, the result that can be emphasized is the grammar seen from word choice, clause, and sentence element, figures of speech, pattern of clause change are means to convey new meaning based on who is the speaker and psychological effect shown to listeners. Thus, it can reveal the speaker purpose extensively and help to describe argumentative phase on speeches. Those three results of research are efforts to build SBY self image on language expertise. On this way, SBY can attract sympathy, therefore international cooperation can run smoothly.
