Abstract

The Islamic economic model is designed to establish a just and prosperous society by integrating principles of social justice and prosperity into every aspect of life. This approach provides a framework for developing human civilization comprehensively and its implementation is increasingly urgent in the context of zakat management. Zakat, as a fundamental pillar of Islamic economics, plays a crucial role in achieving justice and societal well-being.In this context, an analysis of zakat management systems reveals that traditional approaches often fail to align with the principles of zakat as outlined in the Qur'an and Sunnah. The current distribution methods frequently do not account for individual needs, leading to reduced effectiveness in poverty alleviation and enhancement of welfare. To address these issues, it is essential to evaluate and adjust distribution methods in accordance with zakat principles, and to adopt a more structured and professional management system.Furthermore, enhancing understanding of Islamic economic principles among both the public and zakat administrators is crucial. Implementing principles such as justice and social responsibility should underpin the design and execution of zakat programs. By employing a more organized and transparent approach, along with the use of information technology, zakat management can achieve a more significant and sustainable social impact. Through evaluating and adjusting existing systems and applying deeper Islamic economic principles, it is hoped that zakat management can become more effective in empowering communities and improving welfare equitably.

Abstract

In 2018, the number of Village Credit Institutions (LPD) that ceased operations in Abang District increased, with 5 LPDs declared non-operational. Additionally, unhealthy practices in LPD management were found in Abang District, specifically in Sega Village, where the Head of the LPD of Sega Traditional Village embezzled customer funds amounting to Rp 548,510,000. This corruption case was revealed through an audit conducted by the Village Credit Institution Empowerment Agency (LPLPD) of Abang District (Nusabali.com, accessed on December 14, 2023). This study aims to analyze the influence of loan amount, capital, and community participation on the income of LPDs in Abang District for the 2018-2022 period. The research design used is a quantitative associative approach, as the data is presented in numerical form, and statistical analysis is employed for data processing. The study uses panel data regression analysis to assess how independent variables such as loan amount, capital, and community participation affect the dependent variable, which is income. The sampling technique applied is saturation sampling, where the entire population is used as the sample. The results of the study indicate that the loan amount has a positive and significant effect on LPD income in Abang District for the 2018-2022 period; capital has a positive and significant effect on LPD income in Abang District for the same period; community participation has a positive but not significant effect on LPD income in Abang District for the 2018-2022 period. Abstract

Dividends are one of the reasons investors make investments, but there are very few property and real estate companies that distribute dividends regularly. This study aims to test and explain the effect of free cash flow, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership on dividend policy. Secondary data in this study were obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study were property and real estate companies for the 2019-2023 period with a sample of 7 companies taken using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The findings of this study are that free cash flow partially has no effect on dividend policy. A high percentage of managerial ownership has a positive impact on the amount of dividends distributed. High institutional ownership can minimize agency costs and increase the amount of dividends distributed.
