Abstract

Research on the analysis of the resin stone resin on the concrete asphalt-binder course mixture (AC-BC) is motivated by resin vibration with asphalt, ie high viscosity and strong bonding power among particles and resin content in resin gum. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the effect of sap damar stone 0%; 1.5%; 2.5% and 3.5% of asphalt content on marshall characteristics in AC-BC samples. The method used is laboratory study with Marshall test equipment. The test was done with 24 hours fresh water immersion and waterbath 60 oC for 30 minutes. The results after Kao reflect a direct proportion of freedom relative to the addition of resin sap, which is 1663 kg; 1914 kg; 1961 kg and 2040 kg. Similarly, the VFA (67,046; 68,251; 73,115 and 74,397) and the marshall quota (457; 590; 589 and 658). In contrast to stability, the actual VMA is inversely proportional (5,766; 15,530; 14,642 and 14,43) and the melt is changed parabolically (3.64 mm; 3.83 mm; 3.33 mm and 3.10 mm) and the VIM b is unstable (3,828; 4,201; 3,741 and 3,911) respectively. These conditions make it possible to get the right price to compare AC-BC, and the optimal percentage at the time of resin of 3.5%

Abstract

Abstract Palm oil processing plants (CPO) in the process really need the role of a steam boiler. A steam boiler is a device that works by heating water to a boil and producing steam. A steam boiler basically consists of a drum that is closed on both sides, with a to hold water. The classification of the steam boiler can be based on the fluid flowing in the pipe, its use, the location of the kitchen, the location of the pipe, the water circulation system, and the boiler heat source. This water in the drum is not only used to get steam heating, it is also useful to prevent the temperature rise that is too high from the parts that are directly related to the flue gas. Theoretically, to get steam with a capacity of 43 tons/hour and a pressure of 28 kg/cm2, the area of the drum pipe A = 28.26 m², the thickness of the drum plate T = 0.875 cm, the stress that arises in the transverse direction = 1184.05 kg /cm² In planning the allowable stress is 2400 kg/cm², and the calculation results are 1184.05 kg/cm². So this plan meets the requirements that t is 2400 kg/cm² 1184.05 kg/cm². Inspection that the drum does not break 0.875cm 0.4 Meets the requirements that the drum is not easily broken

Abstract

Exhaust emissions are waste products of fuel combustion from inside the machine issued through the exhaust system. Premium fuel is a fuel consisting of a mixture of hydrocarbon liquid are very volatile which has an octane rating of 88 ron. Abstract

Abstract The Air Bengkulu River Basin experiences a frequency of flooding twice a year due to the increase in water discharge during the rainy season. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of peak discharge of the Air Bengkulu River and make a design of floodway control buildings dimensions in the Air Bengkulu River Basin. Rainfall data used in the purposes of this study are rainfall data for the last 10 years (2010-2019). Rainfall analysis plans calculated by statistical methods. The analysis of the planned flood peak discharge was calculated using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph method with the results of the peak discharge of the Air Bengkulu River for the 2nd, 5th, 10, 20, 25, 50 and 100 year anniversary periods, respectively 557.68 m3/s; 732.85 m3/s; 845.18 m3/s; 955.15 m3/s; 978.80 m3/s; 1074.35 m3/s; and 1166.71 m3/s. Flood canal design analysis is calculated using the manning equation method (try error) using a return period of 25 years with a discharge of 955.15 m3/s; circular canal with a cross-sectional diameter of 18.5 m; with a water level of 14.68 m and a height of 3.82 m; while the canal is square in shape with a base width of 25 m; water level of 5.55 m; and height of 1.45 m guard; able to accommodate the debit plan return period of 25 years.

Abstract

Abstract Scarcity of energy in the form of fossil fuels in the spotlight, the whole world began to look for solutions about the rescue. The best alternative is use renewable energy, which comes from nature that can be directly utilized freely and without limits such as wind energy. Utilization of wind energy can be applied to human needs, for example for energy sources for electric cars. This rescarch aims to design a wind turbine to help charge batteries in hybrid cars (wind power and solar power). The research method starts from the design of tools, testing tools and analyzing the results of measurements, Power from wind power. into electrical energy using 3 blades with a blade diameter of f 60 cm (r-30 cm) and has a width of 4 cm which is placed horizontally with aheight of 136 cm from the ground and placed on the front side of the car. The results obtained in this study are the wind speed of 4.5 m/s can produce a maximum rotation of the wind turbine of 782 rpm and produce a voltage of 4.05 volts, a current of 0.23 Amperes, and a power of 0.9315 Walt. The generator in a wind turbine has a maximum output power of 0.27 Watt with an average output voltage of 1.8 volts and an average current of 0.15 Amperes.

Abstract

Nowadays, Machine tools are equipped computer system, example: CNC plasma cutting machine. Computer Numerically Controlled plasma cutting is used to cut various types of metal, plate and other materials that it has good accuracy which uses heat obtained from a high concentration laser beam where the depth level is adjusted according to the thickness of the plate to be cut. One of the products is Sun Ring. Material to make this component is steel plate ASTM A36 which the thickness is 1 mm. The step to make this product is design that it help of Autocad software, Magic Logotag and Magic Tool. Result from cutting process are diameter 30.4 mm inner, 37.4 mm outer, 9.4 fin length and 3.8 mm fin width. Dimension drawing in Autocad software is bigger than workpiece size because it cut material (steel plate ASTM A36) quickly which it cause insignificant shift. Final process of this product is hone to get the actual dimension

Abstract

Have been [done/conducted] [by] research about gas injector position influence [at] contrary liquid gas stream transition [of] direction in vertical channel ( flooding). Channel diameter 25,4 mm with [job/activity] fluid consist of air and water. Dilution injector in the form of wall have pore [to] residing in channel tabletop and gas injektdr in form of berdiameger channel 10 mm. First position, gas ijektor attached in the middle of channel underside ( hypodermic by aksial) and second position attached [by] [in] undercarriage channel wall ( hypodermic by radial). Result of research indicate that gas injector position [do] not so have an effect on to flooding mechanism but very having an effect on to its critical velocity. [At] is second [of] this position [of] flooding [is] always started from under with the existence of stricture [of] channel by dilution film, while location [of] gas injector [in] wall will quicken flooding march of events. Result of measurement [of] speed [of] criticism compared to result from Wallis and Dukler. [is] same Result only go into effect [at] area speed [of] dilution / certain gas.

Abstract

Zakat beach is one of the water tourism places frequented by tourists, but along the way there are several points that have abrasion due to erosion of waves, wind and tidal sea water. This research aims to make the design of coastal protective structures so that the abrasion can be overcome. The data used is wind data. Primary data is a measurement of water level on the estuary of the river Bangkahulu with the help of coal farmers around the location of the review. The design of the abrasion retaining building uses a sloping sidewall with an arrangement of rocks arranged in such a way. Significant wave heights are sought using wave forecasting with an HS value of 1.054 meters and a significant wave period of 5.31 seconds. The calculation result is used to calculate wave height due to sea floor depth change, Ks value is 1,092, refractive coefficient value = 0,736 and wave height at depth 1,52 is 0,847 m. The height and depth of the breaking wave are Hb = 1.005 meters and db = 0.985 meters. Elevation of the breakwater peak with a high free of 0.234 m without a tsunami is 4.212 meters. The peak width of the breakwater building is 0.61 meters with the weight and thick of the main protective layer of 103 Kg and 0.4 meters and the number of granules per 10 meters is 25 grains.

Abstract

Abstract Heat treatment, heat treatment and rapid cooling to obtain the changing properties of carbon steel, metal or guides. One of the treatment methods is the tempering process. This process is carried out at a temperature of 6000C for 30 minutes then tempering with brake fluid and air mixed with salt. The results of the average tensile stress without heat treatment obtained yield stress ?y = (58.14) kgf / mm2, ultimate stress ?u = (71.2) kgf / mm2, breaking stress ?f = (68.13) kgf / mm2, Result The average tensile stress of 6000C heat treatment treated with brake fluid obtained yield stress ?y = (37.89) kgf / mm2, ultimate stress ?u = (48.33) kgf / mm2, breaking stress ?f = (43.58) kgf / mm2and the results of the average tensile stress of 6000C heat treatment which is tempered with salt water, the yield stress is obtained ?y = (31.14) kgf / mm2, ultimate stress ?u = (45.86) kgf / mm2, breaking stress ?f = (36, 8) kgf / mm2. For the hardness tester the chase results that the average values for the area ofthe parent metal, HAZ metal and weld m etal. Untreated specimens for the parent metal area obtained 58.6 HRB, for the HAZ metal area obtained 51.1 HRB and for the weld metal area obtained 53 HRB, specimens that received 6000C treatment with brake fluid for the parent metal area obtained 57.8 HRB, for the HAZ metal area obtained 50.4 HRB and for the metal area obtained 58.6 HRB and specimens that received 6000C treatment with 800 gr air mixed with salt for the parent metal area obtained 56.8 HRB, for the HAZ metal area obtained 49.4 HRB and for the weld metal area obtained 49.8 HRB. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the untreated specimens have the best tensile strength and hardness level compared to the welded joints of specimens that received heat treatment at a temperature of 6000C. While the specimens that received heat treatment at a temperature of 6000C were tempered with air mixed with 800gr of salt, the tensile strength and hardness level decreased more than the specimens that received heat treatment at 6000C which were tempered with brake fluid.

Abstract

Abstract A gear is a part of a rotating machine and is useful for transmitting power. Motorcycle gear sprocket is one of the components driving the wheels. This component is one of the most important components. The type of material used in this component is included in the type of low carbon steel.Heat treatment, heat treatment and cooling quickly to get the properties of changes in carbon steel, metal or guide. One method of treatment is the quenching process. This process was carried out at 600C for 30 minutes then cooled with SAE 40 lubricant cooling media. The test results showed that the hardness value on the gear sprocket decreased after undergoing a quenching process, with a non-treatment hardness value of 84.04 HRB and a hardness value with heat treatment of 78.26 HRB.
