AbstractThis paper will describe the method of assessment of Al-Quran usingDouble Movement Interpretation. A new approach that emphasizes on awarenessof the text, context, and contextualization. The historical characteristic of Al-Qur'an led to the emergence of the idea and theory of hermeneutic (method ofinterpretation). This theory became work-effort which is so urgent to bedeveloped in understanding the meaning of Al-Qur'an as a whole. It is hoped thatthe theological and legal ethics parts can be placed in a whole (total) coherent.Fazlur Rahman criticized that the classical interpretation methods tend touse the approach in interpreting Al-Qur'an separately, resulting the emergences ofnew problems. The interpreters have implemented the appropriate interpretationof the verse-by-verse chronology in the codex, although sometimes they also referto other verses.Fazlurrahman assumed that the relationship pattern or model of therevelation built between Al-Qur'an (The Text), God (Allah) is the author, andMuhammad ( The Reader and The Author). The assumptions that Muhammad isthe receiver and speaker asserted that Muhammad participated in psychology, both in mental and intellectual in acceptance that revelation

Abstract

Karl Marx and Friedrich Nietzsche are two figures that are considered controversial inreligious studies. Both stated that ‘religion is the opium and the God is dead’ are deemed to havepassed the limits of tolerance. As a result, both are regarded as insane person in their time. When they are examined more deeply, both statements expressed deep concern over thesocial situation of the people that suffer as a result of oppression and domination. In thissituation, religion precisely be one that encourages people to behave naive and counterproductiveto the objectives of humanitarian material. Thus, “religion is the opium and God is dead” aresocial provocation and criticism for people to get out of the traps of stagnation. The purpose of human life is material. For Marx, human nature is working, while forNietzsche, it is the willing to power. This means that human will be humanic if it human is ableto express in productive work that is free from domination and have the will to implement thepowers that are pushing for continually active and creative. Initially, religion supports human tomanifest true humanity but evolved into rituals that hinder the process of humanization.

Abstract

As a genre of popular music, dangdut is part of pop culture entertainment industry.Dangdut has a "community of listeners" , in addition to obtaining maintenance andreasonable award. People no longer question of where such music originated and who actsas the source. But in pop culture it is also defined as "the location of the fight" , wheremany of the meanings defined and debated. It is not enough to underestimate the popculture as only serving to the complement of the system in capitalism and patriarchy, allowing it to anesthetize people with false consciousness.Pop culture can also be seen as the location where the contested meanings anddominant ideologies can be disturbed; between the market and the various ideologies;between investors and producers; between director and actor; between publishers andauthors; between capitalists and workers; among women and men; groups of heterosexualand homosexual; groups of blacks and whites; old and young; between what the meaningof all things, and what it means, a battle of control ( towards the meaning) that sustaincontinously. Thus, finally, in the television, dangdut do not only just offer entertainment, but also the ideologies that continue to be produced and reproduced in the name ofentertainment world called dangdut .
