Abstract

PBF services in Lumajang region need to improve the quality of service, includingdelivery time often exceeds the time that had been promised, complaints regarding medication errors and difficulty getting accountability, the price has changed in a short time, and the service was not constant. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of drug store Lumajang region against drug distribution by PBF in tangible dimension (direct evidence), reliablity (reliability), responsivines (responsiveness),assurance (assurance), empathy (caring). Samples were selected in this research is all drug store in Lumajang totaling 30 pharmacies. The research design in this study is descriptive by using survey method.Based on the data collection process,there were only 30 drug store that are willing to be respondenden has qualified for data processing and it can be concluded that the level of satisfaction Pharmacy Lumajang region on tangible dimension (direct evidence) of 86.24%, expressed satisfaction,reliability dimension (reliability) by 80%, otherwise satisfactory, dimensions responsiviness (responsiveness) of 75.84%, expressed quite satisfactory, dimensions assurance (guarantee) amounting to 86.11%, declared satisfactory, the dimensions of empathy (caring) amounted to 86.94%, otherwise satisfactory. Based on the above data,it needs to be evaluated in five dimensions, from the evaluation it would appear that satisfaction level of drug store in Lumajang to PBF service (drug distribution)reach 83,02% and including the satisfactory category .Keywords: Level of satisfaction - Drugs distribution – PBF

Abstract

Kandungan selulosa pada jerami padi tergolong tinggi yaitu sekitar 35%. Sebagai senyawa yang paling melimpah di dunia, selulosa dari jerami padi dapat digunakan sebagai sumber penghasil bakteri selulolitik yang dapat menghasilkan enzim selulase sebagai katalis yang bermanfaat dalam bidang industri, pertanian dan kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan isolat bakteri selulolitik asal jerami padi di Desa Kampung Jawa Kelurahan Setigede Kecamatan Bogor Barat dengan cara isolasi dan karakterisasi isolat yang didapat pada medium CMC agar. Hasil isolasi pada media CMC agar diperoleh sebanyak 5 isolat bakteri selulolitik yaitu isolat J1, J2, J3,J4 dan J5. Hasil skring aktivitas selulolik secara semikuantitatif menggunakan metode congo red menunjukkan bahwa isolat J2 memiliki nilai IAE tertinggi yaitu 1,84. Hasil karakterisasi secara fisik yaitu makroskopis dan mikroskopis serta karakterisasi secara biokimia sesuai petunjuk Bergey’s Manual of systematic bacteriology menunjukkan bahwa isolat J2 memiliki kemiripan dengan Bacillus sp.Kata kunci: Bakteri selulolitik, jerami padi, karakterisasi bakteri

Abstract

Lactobacillus acidophillus dalam bentuk yoghurt mempunyai efek penurunan terhadap hiperkolesterolemia namun dapat mengalami stress akibat asam lambung. Teknik bioenkapsulasi mampu meningkatkan viabilitas dan perlindungan terhadap bakteri asam laktat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahan bioenkapsulasi L. acidophillus dari Whey Protein Isolate (WPI), kasein, gum arab, dan amilum yang terbaik viabilitasnya terhadap asam lambung dan mengetahui dosis bioenkapsulasi yoghurt (single, double atau triple dose) yang efektif sebagai terapi antihiperkolesterolemia. Viabilitas bioenkapsulasi yoghurt terhadap asam lambung dilakukan secara in vitro dengan teknik Total Plate Count (TPC) kemudian diujikan aktivitas antihiperkolesterolemia secara in vivo terhadap tikus putih galur wistar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa bahan dari amilum menunjukkan hasil yang terbaik dalam peningkatan viabilitas sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan asam lambung yakni dari 3.0 x106 CFU/g menjadi 2.1 x 108 CFU/g. Dosis yang efektif sebagai antihiperkolesterolemia pada tikus putih wistar yakni single dose dengan nilai rataan kadar Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) sebesar 15mg.dL-1.Kata kunci: bioenkapsulasi, hiperkolesterolemia, Lactobacillus acidophillus, yoghurt

Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang mampu menghambat oksidasi molekul lain. Tubuh tidak mempunyai sistem pertahanan antioksidatif yang berlebihan, sehingga tubuh membutuhkan antioksidan eksogen. Kekhawatiran terhadap efek samping antioksidan sintetik menjadikan antioksidan alami menjadi alternatif yang dipilih. Flavonoid merupakan senyawa fenolat (hidroksil fenolik) yang mampu bertindak sebagai antioksidan dan umumnya terdapat pada tanaman. Salah satu limbah tanaman yang mempunyai kandungan flavonoid adalah kulit buah pisang (Musa acuminata). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menetapkan kadar flavonoid total dan melakukan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan kulit buah pisang menggunakan diphenyl picryl hydrazil hydrate (DPPH) sebagai radikal bebas. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah remaserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Penetapan kadar flavonoid total menggunakan katekin sebagai standar dan pengujian DPPH menggunakan metode spetrofotometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan flavonoid total ekstrak etanol kulit buah pisang sebesar 0,79 ± 0,03 %b/b, aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi dalam IC50 terhadap DPPH sebesar 70,41 mg/L.Kata Kunci : kulit buah pisang, flavonoid total, aktivitas antioksidan, IC50

Abstract

This research is aims to determine the effect of variation concentration starch Zea mays (L) as disintegration agent in wet granulation to physical characteristics paracetamo. This research used eperimental method by one shot case study. Paracetamol as active ingredient, starch zea mays (L)as desintegrant agent, PVPK30 as binding agent, avicel as filler and Mg stearat as lubricants. The result of SPSS showed significant (p0,05), that means no difference in the three formulation. The first test is weight uniformity show that from column A and B qualify weight requirement range, hardness test. Showed significant (p0,05) that means nodifference in the three formulation. Friability test showed significant (p 0,05) the last is disintegration time test showed that significant (P0,05) no difference in the three formulation. The research of physic characteristic of the tablet showed that hardness test and time test not qualif. Analysis SPSS showed (p0,05) no difference in the three formulation and amilum had no effect on physical test of paracetamol tablet.Keywords: zea mays (L),paracetamol,physicial characteristic

Abstract

Escherichia coli producing Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamases (ESBLs) can turn off the cephalosporin third and fourth generation and monobactam (aztreonam). E.coli producers ESBLs who encoded by TEM genes can hydrolyzed ampicillin, cephalontin, and cephazolin. The purpose of this research is to identify the existence of TEM genes from some space at RSUD Dr. Sooetomo Surabaya which has never been previously reported. The kind of research that used is observational descriptive with the approach genetic molecule. About thirty isolate clinical E.coli ESBLs producers of urine patients in January and February 2014 done with amplification of PCR, electrophoresis, and the result visualized on agarose gel 1.5%. The result was ten isolates (30%) positively containing TEM genes and most common to find in the Interna Department.Keywords: ESBLs, Escherichia coli, RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, TEM

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determine the polyphenol content of various brand of packaged tea. Sample were used five sample. Polyphenol compounds of packaged tea were extracted using remaseration method with ethanol 70%. Qualitative test were used using FeCl3 reagent and quantitative test polyphenol content were determined using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method with Folin Ciocalteau reagent. Galic acid was used as comparator in this research. The result of qualitative test is all sample of brewed tea containing polyphenol.
