Abstract

ABSTRACT Generally, elderly has more experience physical setback, one of them is marked with loss teeth. The susceptible problem of dental and oral health which happened on elderly are dental caries and periodontal disease. In Indonesia, both diseases are the main cause elderly’s loss teeth.  Analysis of Factors Associated with the least amount of tooth Functioning in the Elderly in  Mengwi Badung 2015Research methods used in this research is descriptive method, and used 110 samples by Multi stage random sampling  technic. Based on data analysis bivariat dengan uji chi Square d uji regresi logistic. discussion of the research results, from 110 There was a significant correlation between the number of teeth that function in the elderly with age p = 0.000 (p 0.05). The education level of p = 0.000 (p 0.05). Economic status value of p = 0.000 (p 0.05). Concluded that the most influential factor is the level of education with a value of p = 0.000 (p 0.05) with OR 4.46,  (CI 95%  2.63 - 7.57). Abstract

Abstract. Janur ibung which basically brownish color is processed into more white, red and green plus fragrance ingredients and salt. When reacted chemicals can produce gas and meets the continuously working space which simultaneously can cause health problems. This study aims to identify the type of activity, the levels of chemicals and personal protective equipment used, as well as to analyze the cause of the change in hair color in the leaf processing workers ibung. This study was an observational study with cross sectional. Samples are dyes and processing workers ibung leaf. Samples taken as many as 18 people working with simple random sampling technique. Dye samples laboratory tested for possible parameters contained in the coloring of red, green, white and using H2O2 and fragrance materials in the laboratory. Data type of activity and personal protective equipment processing workers ibung leaf obtained by observation using a questionnaire. The test results showed a dye containing Rhodamine B, Hg, Fe and NH3. This type of activity in leaf processing ibung were identified dyeing, binding and drying, in which workers do not use headgear (cap) on any kind of activity, and found that all employees undergo a change of hair color. Activities dyeing, bonding and drying process the leaf processing ibung not positively correlated with changes in hair color of the workers.Keywords: dyes; domestic industry; work safety Abstrak. Janur ibung yang warna dasarnya kecoklatan diproses menjadi lebih putih, berwarna merah dan hijau ditambah bahan pewangi serta garam dapur. Bahan kimia apabila direaksikan dapat menghasilkan gas dan memenuhi ruang kerja secara terus menerus yang secara simultan dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis kegiatan, kadar bahan kimia dan alat pelindung diri yang digunakan, serta menganalisis penyebab terjadinya perubahan warna rambut pada pekerja pengolah janur ibung. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan Cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah zat pewarna dan pekerja pengolah janur ibung. Sampel pekerja diambil sebanyak 18 orang dengan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel pewarna diuji laboratorium untuk parameter yang dimungkinkan terkandung pada pewarna merah, hijau,  putih dan menggunakan H2O2 dan bahan pewangi di laboratorium. Data jenis kegiatan dan alat pelindung diri pekerja pengolah janur ibung diperoleh dengan observasi menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil uji menunjukkan zat pewarna mengandung Rhodamin B, Hg, Fe dan NH3. Jenis kegiatan pada pengolahan janur ibung yang teridentifikasi adalah pencelupan, pengikatan dan penjemuran, dimana pekerja tidak menggunakan tutup kepala (topi) pada setiap jenis kegiatannya, dan ditemukan bahwa semua pekerja mengalami perubahan warna rambut. Kegiatan pencelupan, pengikatan dan penjemuran pada proses pengolah janur ibung tidak berkorelasi positif dengan perubahan warna rambut para pekerja.Kata kunci: zat pewarna; industri rumah tangga; keselamatan kerja

Abstract

AbstractBackground Damage to oil during the frying process caused by the oxidation process, it will affect the quality and nutritional value of the food that fried, and it can cause a variety of diseases such as the deposition of fat in the blood vessels and the possibility of carcinogenic compounds that can cause cancer. The rate of oxidation of the oil can be inhibited by the addition of antioxidants. Antioxidants retard oxidation or free radicals from oxidized fats. As a natural antioxidant, mangosteen pericarp contains xanthones that are very effective in preventing the occurrence of free radicals. The problem in this study is whether there is a difference numbers peroxide in used cooking oils after addition of the mangosteen pericarp powdered? Objective The purpose of research is to know the difference peroxide used cooking oil after the addition of the mangosteen pericarp powdered.Methods This type of research is True Exsperiment Design by Design Post Test Only with Control Design. The treatments were the addition of the mangosteen pericarp powdered in some concentration : 0.10%, 0.20%, 0.30%, 0.40% and 0.50%, and the soaking time mangosteen pericarp powder on used cooking oil during one day, two days and three days. The analysis was conducted using peroxide iodometri. Data analysis was conducted by using One Way Anova. followed by Least Significant Different (LSD).Result Data analysis showed a significant difference peroxide in used cooking oils after addition of mangosteen pericarp powder at various concentrations. Conclusions The most effective concentration is 0.30%, and the soaking time is one  day. Keywords: Numbers peroxide, mangosteen pericarp

Abstract

Abstract. Improve oral health is one of the efforts made in the maintenance of dental health from an early age. The level of oral hygiene can be measured by an index that is Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S). The most easy way to maintain hygiene and oral health by tooth brushing. Tooth brushing behavior is good and right that is done persevering,conscientious, and regular. This study aims to determine theDescription of OHI-S and Tooth Brushing Behavior in Grade VI SDN 5 Pekutatan Sub District Pekutatan at Regency Jembrana Year 2016. This research use study descriptive and this study use the total population of 34 students of SDN 5 Pekutatan Year 2016. The results of this research indicate that student’s OHI-S with good criteria as many as five students (14.7%), the medium criteria as many as 26 students (76.5%), and bad criteria as many as three students (8.8%). whereas in tooth brushing behavior totaling 34 students included in the criteria necessary guidance.OHI-S at grade sixth students who have the most OHI-S criteria with the criteria medium, whereas most brushing behavior criteria skills need brushing guidance.Grade VI students to pay more attention toothbrushing behavior is good and right.Keywords: OHI-S, Tooth brushing behavior Abstrak. Meningkatkan kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan dalam pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut sejak usia dini. Tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut dapat diukur dengan suatu index yaitu Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S). Cara yang paling mudah dilakukan untuk menjaga kebersihan serta kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan menggosok gigi. Perilaku menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar yaitu dilakukan secara tekun, teliti, dan teratur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran OHI-S dan Perilaku Menyikat Gigi pada Siswa Kelas VI Di SDN 5 Pekutatan Kecamatan Pekutatan Kabupaten Jembrana Tahun 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan total populasi sebanyak 34 siswa di SDN 5 Pekutatan Tahun 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan OHI-S dengan kriteria baik sebanyak lima orang (14,7%), kriteria sedang 26 orang (76,5%), dan kriteria buruk tiga orang (8,8%), sedangkan perilaku menyikat gigi siswa termasuk dalam kriteria perlu bimbingan. Siswa kelas VI memiliki kriteria OHI-S terbanyak dengan kriteria sedang, sedangkan perilaku menyikat gigi terbanyak dengan kriteria keterampilan menyikat gigi perlu bimbingan. Disarankan agar siswa kelas VI lebih memperhatikan perilaku menyikat gigi dengan baik dan benar.Kata Kunci: OHI-S, Perilaku Menyikat Gigi

Abstract

Abstract. Chemotherapy has contributed to the occurrence of the various causes of malnutrition. This study was conducted to determine the effect of chemotherapy on the decline in the frequency of nutrient intake and nutritional status in patients with breast cancer in the treatment of class III Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar. This type of research is an observational study with cross sectional approach. Sampling is done by using a consecutive sampling technique, the amount required is sampel 40 people.The results showed this study after statistical test frequency relationship chemotherapy with energy intake obtained p value is 0.026 (p 0.05) so that it can be said that there is a significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy with energy intake of breast cancer patients. Chemotherapy-frequency relationship with protein intake obtained p value is 0.001 (p 0.05) so that it can be said that there is a significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy with protein intake of breast cancer patients. Chemotherapy -frequency relationship with fat intake obtained p value is 0.427 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is no significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy with fat intake of breast cancer patients. Frequency relationship chemotherapy with p values obtained carbohydrate intake is 0.000 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is a significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy with carbohydrate intake of breast cancer patients. Relationship with the frequency of intake of Vitamin A chemotherapy obtained p value is 0.287 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is no significant relationship between the frequency of intake of Vitamin A chemotherapy with breast cancer patients . Frequency relationship chemotherapy with vitamin C intake obtained p value is 0.541 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is no significant relationship between the frequency of intake of vitamin C with chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer . Frequency relationship chemotherapy with vitamin E intake obtained p value is 0.006 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is a significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy with intake of vitamin E in patients with breast cancer . Chemotherapy -frequency relationship to the nutritional status obtained p value is 0.165 ( p 0.05 ) so that it can be said that there is no significant relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy and nutritional status of breast cancer patients . Need to do further research on the factors - other factors affecting nutrient intake and nutritional status of breast cancer patients. KEYWORD : frequency of chemoteraphy, nutrient intake, nutritional status
