Abstract

This abstract presents the results of community service activities conducted by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry lecturers and postgraduate lecturers in Lawoila Village, Konda Sub-District, South Konawe Regency. The main focus of this activity is to provide technical guidance in silage making with the aim of maximizing the preservation of nutrient content in rice straw, thus enabling it to be stored for a longer period. The methods applied in this community service program include observation, counseling, and evaluation to ensure its effectiveness. The results of this community service activity indicate that the community in Lawoila Village, Konda Sub-District, responded well to silage-making. They demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm in understanding the concept of feed management.

Abstract

One of the skin diseases often experienced by the community of Keliling Benteng Ulu RT.09 is scabies. Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by female mite Sarcoptes scabiei varieta hominis. This community service activity is to provide education about scabies. This activity is carried out by providing education about scabies, how to prevent and treat it. In this activity, a pre-post test will be carried out to determine changes in knowledge. The pre-post test results showed an increase in knowledge by 79%. Service participants have begun to understand the definition, causes, symptoms, treatment of scabies and its prevention through a healthy lifestyle. Conclusion community service activities run smoothly, series of health counseling also provides great benefits for participants.

Abstract

Antenatal Care aims to prepare the mother and child as well as possible, both and psychologically, as well as to protect them throughout their pregnancies, deliveries, and the postpartum period so that the condition of the mother and child at birth is physically and mentally healthy and normal. The high maternal mortality rate, including during childbirth, is a driving force for the need to provide education or counseling regarding Antenatal Care to pregnant women. With 41 pregnant women from four villages in Jatigede District, Sumedang Regency, West Java, as participants, this community service method employs an educational approach through counseling. Experts in their respective fields serve as resource people in the counseling process. The post-test results were consistent with the counseling's findings, which demonstrated a substantial increase in participants' knowledge.

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a certification program aimed at enhancing the competency of entrepreneurship resources through the certification of business incubator consultants. The program, conducted by the Indonesia Management Forum and HR24/7 Communication Hub in Bali, involved participants from various regions across Indonesia. The training sessions covered topics such as advocacy for technology business incubator development, product-market fit analysis, business idea validation, feasibility study preparation, legal and institutional management, company profile creation, access to financing, marketing assistance, business valuation, and financial report preparation. The program culminated in a competency assessment on the third day. The results indicated a high level of satisfaction among participants, highlighting the program's effectiveness in improving their understanding and skills in technology business incubator management. The implications of this program include the potential enhancement of Indonesia's entrepreneurship ecosystem and contributions to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

Abstract

Immunization is an effort to actively create/increase a person's immunity against a disease so that if one day they are exposed to the disease they will not become sick or will only experience mild illness. By providing timely immunization, the community can remain protected and VPD outbreaks can be prevented. Diseases that can be prevented by immunization currently still threaten the world because they can cause death and disability. Based on this, it is very necessary to take preventive and promotive actions related to the importance of immunization. The method used in this activity is through socialization and discussions involving expert speakers in their fields with participants consisting of 67 mothers of toddlers. Participants came from three villages in Jatigede sub-district, Sumedang.
