Abstract

Gouty arthritis or gout is a type of joint disease that occurs due to uric acid levels that are too high in the blood. Under normal conditions, uric acid dissolves in the blood and passes through the urine. But under certain conditions, the body can produce uric acid in excessive amounts or experience a disruption in removing excess uric acid, so that uric acid accumulates in the body. Following this, a system is created that is able to provide patients with information like Gout by using methods forward chaining. This system is built using research and development methods that point to output in the form of expert system applications with the reading of the data carried out in forward chaining.

Abstract

Ovarian cyst disease can only attack women after 25 years old of age and above the lack of public knowledge about the symptoms of ovarian cyst disease is the problem, therefore the authors make an expert system diagnosing ovarian cyst disease with a forward chaining method where patients consults with how to answer a number of questions related to the symptoms of an ovarian cyst and the patients answers questions according to the symptoms felt by the patient. This expert system is created using the PHP programming language and MYSQL database. It is expected that with an expert system of diagnosing ovarian cyst disease, later it can facilitate patients in consulting about his ovarian cyst disease and can increase knowledge for the patient

Abstract

Changes in curriculum from KTSP (Education Unit Level Curriculum) to 2013 Curriculum result in changes in Information and Computer Technology (ICT) subjects to ICT Guidance (BTIK). These subjects are not scheduled in general, so students need to be guided by questionnaires. To find out the right guidance needs data mining is needed. So this research is done in determining the accuracy of the guidance needs in accelerating the process of questionnaire data. The method used is C4.5 Algorithm. The results of the study have an accuracy of 90%, so it can be recommended in determining guidance material for students.

Abstract

The development of information technology so rapidly, greatly helped the works of man. On the one hand man to be very helpful, but on the other side of the system's security level to rise sharply so that in essence the sides of human life is in a threatened position. The techniques of network security systems and precautions against attacks on information systems continue to be developed so that the integrity, availability and confidentiality in an information system becomes more secure. One way is by building a network security system and attack prevention system. In this paper, the authors construct a computer network security systems using a firewall Demiliteralized Zone (DMZ) by using IPtables which is the standard of Linux systems and and Switch Port Security (SPS). Utilization by combining these two technologies to achieve maximum levels of security and is able to block the intruder will attempt an attack with a variety of attacks identified.

Abstract

Gas is one of the needs that is widely used by the community. The use of gas is very much beneficial, for example, such as the use of gas in households and the use of gas in business or industry. However, there are things we must pay attention to when using gas in terms of safety. Because gas is volatile and there is a possibility of gas leakage which can cause a fire hazard. Therefore to reduce the impact of hazards that can be caused due to gas leakage, a gas leak detection device needs to be made using the MQ5 sensor and the status of the hazard level will be displayed through the android application. So that the existence of this tool will make it easier for users to know the level of gas levels and the level of danger of gas leaks. In this system there are 3 (three) levels of danger, namely safe, normal, and dangerous. If the gas level is high and in danger status, the system will provide information on the android application in the form of gas levels, danger levels and alarms. The use of Fuzzy methods in this system can be applied to explore knowledge and decision making, so that the Fuzzy method is applied to be expected to help in calculating the level of danger of gas leakage effectively and safely to use. In designing this system, the author uses the Fuzzy algorithm with the Mamdani method so that it can facilitate obtaining maximum results in determining the level of danger. From the resulting output can be information about the dangers of gas leakage.

Abstract

Deafness is a condition where an individual's hearing cannot function normally. So, sign language was created which was used as a solution to the problem. In Indonesia, the sign languages that are known are SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System) and BISINDO (Indonesian Sign Language). Although SIBI has been recognized by the Indonesian government, in its use it is less desirable. This research was conducted to identify empty hand signals. Where it will help the user naturally without additional assistance. Experiments carried out using a dataset that was demonstrated by 1 display. In the process, the characteristics of the hand are taken using the Histogram Oriented Gradient (HOG) method. Whereas to separate it from the background image, color segmentation is used. The results of the process are then taken to classify. The classification process uses the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System method. The results of the tests carried out resulted in an accuracy of 78.31%. The problem is done.

Abstract

This research describes the online registration Website, which is based on the solutions obtained from the research conducted at English Language School Padang. It was concluded that the old Information System (manual system) used is no longer relevant to the needs of the user, after the study of English Language School Padang by collecting data containing the Problems with the system manual, researchers provide solutions to the problem, by creating a Web Base System (website) that is done by doing the steps in designing the design of output inputs, and processes. The results of the analysis and the stage is applied in the application of the website that is more interactive and relevant to the needs of the user, in conducting their activities.

Abstract

In building a system, it was needed a quality guarantee. A system could be stated well qualified, if it met the user needs. The quality could be measured from various points of views. One point of views to measure the software quality was focusing on user satisfaction (user based). To know the quality of a system, it was needed a quality analysis of its system. There was a lack of service when online warehouse administration system used to manage the warehouse material inventory in PT. PLN (Persero) Duri Rayon was used. This research aimed at finding proposed improvements for increasing the service quality percentage of online warehouse administration system based on ISO/IEC 9126 standard. The methods of collecting the data were using interview and questionnaire to know user complaints to the user. Maturity Model and Delay approaches were used to process the data. In testing the reliability level, online warehouse administration system was on the first level (the system was computerized, but it was not standardized yet). In testing the delay, all the delays in input were on good category and it could beunderstandable. Based on the levels of maturity and delay, the test showed that there was a need to improve and maintenance the online warehouse administration system to increase the performance of system service quality for users. so that the existence of repairs and maintenance systems can increase 26% to 41% the percentage of the quality of an information technology system.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology today, triggering all activities in all fields of using technology in carrying out its operational activities without exception Purwacaraka Padang in registering new students. This new online student registration information system is used to make it easier for prospective students to register without having to come directly to Purwacaraka Padang. In addition, with this application the activities carried out can be displayed in this application and provide the latest information to prospective students and the community. The design of this system uses the UML model (Unified Model Language) which can provide an overview of how the program runs and the interaction between actors and systems. In addition, the use of the PHP programming language that is supported by MySQL databases also makes this system an useful online information system.

Abstract

At the time of image processing where we only need a certain part of an image according to the needs called the Region of Interest (ROI), in order to obtain that, the processing is carried out in a cropping process. Cropping is mostly done by researchers, especially those who research in the field of image processing in order to do data processing on an image, the results of cropping process on an image are usually done to make it easier for researchers to focus on something that is needed only. In this study is to compare existing cropping methods to get a motif found in an image of West Sumatra songket fabric. In this study using the method of cropping rectangle, square, circle, ellipse, polygon and tested using the Matlab programming language. The results of comparison of 5 cropping methods for taking certain motifs on the songket image with 5 different songket image samples, shows that the best results are obtained by using the polygon method. Polygon method can reach certain coordinate points in a songket image, so that the results of cropping are better and other motives that are carried along during the cropping process can be reduced.
