Abstract

When the body feels tired after work, it needs a place to rest and relax, the terrace chair as a relaxing facility needs a comfortable and functional design, in this case the lotus flower structure is the basic idea for creating a terrace chair that emphasizes function and aesthetic value.Lotus is the common name for the genus Nymphaea which is an aquatic plant. The lotus is characterized by flowers and leaves floating on the surface of the water. Several types of lotus have important influences in art including white lotus (kumuda), blue lotus (utpala), red lotus (Padma). According to Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, the lotus flower has a high spiritual level, namely as a symbol of purity. Meanwhile, the Islamic religion of the lotus is only an ornamental motif.The lotus flower as a form structure in the creation of a terrace chair is a creative and innovative design. The main function of providing relaxing comfort in the terrace room, a shape that resembles a lotus adds to the decorative value of the terrace space.

Abstract

Designers are required to be able to develop themselves in creating a product that is able to attract public interest. People need a place to rest and relax, one of the facilities is to relax using a patio chair. Terrace chairs as a relaxing facility need a comfortable and functional design, in this case the Tarantula as a structure for creating patio chairs that prioritizes function and aesthetic value The purpose of making the design is to create a patio chair with a tarantula shape as a form structure to create a terrace chair creatively and innovatively. Patio chairs are sitting facilities for a means of relaxing or relaxing on the terrace.The tarantula is not taken completely but only takes its main characteristics and distorts the original form but does not eliminate the character of the tarantula itself.

Abstract

The use of Jepara ornaments is intended, so that Indonesian furniture designers should still care about the arts and culture of the archipelago, namely by applying handicraft products into them, so that they can become a media of socialization and appreciation of Indonesian culture.Many activities are carried out on the terrace, so humans will need facilities to support these activities, namely chairs and tables. Humans need a table and chairs design that can support all their activities on the terrace.The combination of wood and stainless materials is an option in making patio chairs and tables, with a simple design, which is one of the products that humans need for their patio space. Chair and table designs can be placed in any type of terrace, creative and new designs make these chairs and tables a point of interest on the terrace

Abstract

Today's modern lifestyle is very influential on human activities, as well as the facilities and infrastructure used to assist their activities. In general, people want something that is simple, practical and comfortable. This can be seen when humans do activities at home.The terrace is one of the rooms that is currently experiencing additional functions, which is usually only for receiving guests, currently there are many things that can be done on the terrace, such as sitting back, chatting, gathering with family, friends or relatives, playing. The terrace is currently located not only in front of the house, it can be on the side, behind, above (balcony).The combination of wood and stainless materials is an option in making patio chairs and tables, with a simple design, which is one of the products that humans need for their patio space. Chair and table designs can be placed in any type of terrace, creative and new designs make these chairs and tables a point of interest on the terrace.

Abstract

The design of wooden home stay loby chairs is unique which is able to lift the promotion of a business. The chair design prepared for the lobby contains quality wood and has transparent fibers, so that the resulting product will be attractive. The types of wood used are Sono Keling wood and coconut wood with a water based system finishing, so that it will reduce costs..The problems in this research are 1). How to bring together a design agreement between researchers in the city of Jepara and the location of the home stay in the city of Jogjakarta. 2). Selection of raw materials for sono keling wood and coconut wood with a maximum dryness of 12%.The results obtained in this study are 1). Find the concept of chair design for the home stay lobby. 2). Able to process sono keling wood and coconut wood according to furniture production procedures. 3). Perform finishing applications with the maximum water based system material. 4). Can realize the results of special chair designs for home stay lobby rooms with various models.
