Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of autogenic relaxation training to increase the emotion regulation of the junior high school students. The Subjects in this study were the students of Junior High School M Yogyakarta. The selection of research subjects was based on the lowest pretest scores students got from the scale of emotion regulation, and the number of the sebject taken was 50 students. The placement of subjects into control and experimental group performed by using random assignment. The number of the subjects who followed the pretest, the posttest and the follow-up in full in the experimental group was 16 female students. While in the control group, the number was 19 female students. The results showed that the re was a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest scores in both groups experimental control). The conclusion of this study is autogenic relaxation was effective to improve the emotion regulation of the junior high school students.

Abstract

The benefits of Pasien "PANDAI Program" (Patient with Acceptance and Action) for patient are to help them internalize self-acceptance toward their condition, give them peacefulness mentally, help them think of purposes in dealing with their illness, build a commitment to change their life to be better, and implement this commitment as a process of behavior change. The method used in this research was one group pretest-posttest design with 3 participants as experimental group. Wilcoxon SignedRank was used in quantitative analysis and supported by qualititave analysis using descriptive analysis. The result showed no difference between pretest-posttest (z=-0.447; p>0.05) and also posttest-follow up (z=-1.342; p>0.05). It indicated that Pasien PANDAI Program wasnn't effective to improve optimism in patient with cancer.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the effects of relaxation technique training to decrease anxiety level for family who care patient cancer at home. The participants of this study participated by five participants who had medium and high level of anxiety. Thedesign of the experiment was small N sample experiment, ABA design. The level of anxietywas measured quantitatively by adapted BAI scale. The treatment given to all participants was relaxation technique training. The training consisted of eight session, held for two weeks. The qualitative analysis was executed by analyzing of observation, interview, and homework. Statistic non parametric Wilcoxon and visual inspection graphics were used toanalyze the change of anxiety level before, during and after the training quantitavely There was significant score between base line and during training measurement, which Z=-0,023 and p=0,0215 (p<0,05), there was significant score between during training and follow upmeasurement, which Z=-0,023 and p=0,0215 (p<0,05) and there was significant score betweenbase line and follow up measurement, which Z=-2,041 and p=0,0205 (p<0,05). The result of this study showed that relaxation technique training was proven to be able to decrease anxiety level of each participants.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the application of developmental peer appraisals to increase the cohesiveness tasks among team members. This research was implemented a quasi experimental design with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The research subjects were ‘Waroeng SS’ workers consisted of 30 persons. Subjects were divided into two groups: experimental group and control group where each group consisted of 15 persons. The experimental group was given the treatment of the application of developmental peer appraisal. Two weeks after being given treatment, task cohesiveness was measure by using modified task cohesiveness scale compiled by Beaubien and Carless and De Paola consisting of nine item. Analysis of data was using a nonparametric test of Mann-Whitney. The study showed that task cohesiveness did not increase significantly after implementation of developmental peer appraisal (Z=-1.222, p> 0.05). This result were discussed further.

Abstract

Standardized state Exam (Ujian Nasional/UN) is one of the root causes of anxiety instudents. The results of a preliminary study in SMAN Y Yogyakarta known 29% students of class XII having anxiety in dealing with the UN. Test anxiety will affect the performance of students for the examination. This study develops Kebersyukuran training as an alternative to solving anxiety permasalahans facing the UN in Class XII. The design used is untreated Control Group Design With Pretest And Posttest Sample. Quantitative data analysis is done through a mixed ANOVA statistical test to determine the effects of training kebersyukuranthe experimental group and the control group between before and after training. The resultsof the study are kebersyukuran training can reduce anxiety dealing with the UN on highschool students.
