Abstract

The study of controlling bacterial wilt disease on patchouli plant (Rasltonia solanaceraum) in Laboratory and Green house of KP Balittro Laing Solok from Mart to Juny 2006. The aims of the study were to find out the effective combination form product of Bacillus spp and Fluorescent pseudomonad. Isolate of Bacillus sp. and Fluorescent pseudomonad in separation and combination as treatments were isolated from the rhizosphere of healthy patchouli plant, and selected based on antagonistic activity against Ralstonia solanacearum screening in vitro, for three months. Further isolates of Bacillus spp. and fluorescent pseudomonads best of the test results are taken for testing the combination in the same way with the previous test. Treatment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with six replications. The assessment parameters were incubation period of symptoms disease and disease intensity. The results showed that Bacillus sp. Bc26; Bc80 and Bc81 and Fluorescent pseudomonad Pf101; Pf146 and Pf170 could control the bacterial wilt disease better than the others. In addition, the combina-tion of Bacillus spp (Bc26; Bc80; Bc81) and Fluorescent pseudomonad (Pf101; Pf146; Pf170) could control the bacterial wilt disease better than separately. The combination of Bacillus sp. Bc26 with Fluorescent pseudomonad Pf101; Bc26 with Pf 146; and Bc80 with Pf101 could control the bacterial wilt disease better than other combinations that delayed the incubation period of symptom disease from 14 to 50-55 DAI and decreased the disease intensity of bacterial wilt from 69,6 to 4,2-9,9%. The results of the experiment showed that Bacillus sp. Bc26 and Fluorescent pseudomonad Pf101, Pf146 and Pf147 isolates have the highest activity on controlling the bacterial wilt disease either in combination or separation.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to know the layer response of humic acid addition in ration which used the palm kernel cake (PKC) and the palm kernel cake fermented (PKCF). This experiment used complete randomize design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments were arranged as follows: 1) 0% basic ration (0% PKC/PKCF), 2) 15% PKCF, 3) 15% PKC + 0,2% humic acid, 4) 15% PKCF +0,2% humic acid. The ration were formulated iso protein 16% and iso caloric 2700 kkal /kg ration. Variabels of this study were egg production, egg weight, and thick cell . The result of this study showed that egg production, egg weight, and thick cell were highly significant (P>0,05) by any treatment. The conclusion that palm kernel cake fermented (PKCF) by Aspergillus niger were used 15% in layer ration, give the best result, with 67,79% egg production, 66,72 gr/each egg weight and 0,12mm thick cell .

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see contract farming partnership model on horticultural agribusiness. This research using multicase method study which was combination of survey and case study. The result showed that relationship in contract farming partnership model such as : capital section, marketing and technology aid. The contract farming is a formal partnership which arranged in memorandum of understanding (MOU). The contract farming partnership benefits were 64 percent to increase farmer income, 70 percent increase technology and 68 percent increase farmer productivity.

Abstract

This experiment was conducted for combination of sagos waste and tohu waste fermented by Monascus purpureus (SWTF) in ration to determined the egg quality of Quail. It’s used a complete randomize design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were arranged as follows: 1) basic ration (0% SWTF in ration); 2) 5% SWTF in ration; 3) 15% SWTF in ration, and 4) 15% SWTF in ration. The rations were formulated iso protein 20% and iso energy 2800 kkal/kg ration. The parameters of this study were colesterol of egg yellow, lipid of egg yellow and the colour of egg yellow. The results of this study showed that colesterol of egg yellow, lipid of egg yellow and the colour of egg yellow were significantly affected (P<0,05) by all treatment. Combination of sagos waste and tohu waste fermented by Monascus purpureus can used until 15% in the Quail, which was able to decrease collesterol (128,67 mg/dL) and lipid (7,22 %) of yellow egg and increase of the color of yellow egg (8,80 %)

Abstract

This study aims to observe the effect of coconut dregs fermented with local microorganism inoculums of metabolizable energy, nitrogen retention, protein digestibility, intake, weight gain, feed conversion and carcass yield of broiler ration and Income Over Feed and Chick Cost (IOFC). Feeding trials conducted at the Training Center Agriculture UPTD Padang Bandar Buat. While the proximate analysis at the Laboratory of Non-Ruminant Nutrition Laboratory and the Laboratory of Food Technology and Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unand. When the research conducted on April 20, until 5 November 2010. Results obtained adding 15% coconut dregs fermentation in broiler chicken rations can increase metabolic energy, nitrogen retention and protein digestibility. Granting up to 20% coconut dregs provides no significant effect on feed consumption and feed conversion, but the real influence with weight gain and carcass yield of broiler chickens. The conclusion from this study of coconut dregs and 20% of the economically still provide benefits compared to no provision of coconut dregs fermentation, although significantly affect weight gain of broiler chickens
