Abstract

AbstractUntil now, it is still necessary to change the learning model, because education in Indonesia still has problems with the low quality of education caused by the learning process that has not been effective. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Problem Based Learning or what we usually know as problem-based learning on cognitive learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population is students of class XI IPA which consists of two classes, namely XI IPA A and XI IPA B with a total of 44 students. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the hypothesis that the sig (2-tailed) result was 0.009 smaller than 0.025, it is said that the data hypothesis shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, that is, there is a significant difference in the cognitive learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA A with the use of the PBL model and class XI IPA B with the conventional model, with a percent effect of 17%. Keywords: Learning model, problem based learning, learning, cognitive

Abstract

The education system is having problems, especially the low quality of education. This matter  could be caused by the ineffective learning process, so we need an  steps that can improve students' understanding of the subject matter. Process changed to use the learning model with Discovery Learning. This study aims used  determine the effect of using the model  Learning Discovery Learning about cognitive learning outcomes of students in the subject matter  chemistry class X IPA SMA Kristen YABT Manokwari. The research method used  is a Quasi Experimental with the form of Time Series Design. Sampling technique  using saturated sampling with a sample size of fifteen people. Data collection tools  is a test of cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the results of data processing obtained, the average score  The pre-test is 53.78 and the average score post-test is 68, and the N-Gain result is obtained  shows an increase in the learning ability of students between before being treated and  after being given treatment that is 0.73. Based on the Paired Sample T-test, it was found that  there is an effect of using the learning model Discovery Learning on the results  cognitive learning of students on the subject matter of chemical bonding class X IPA SMA Kristen YABT  Manokwari with a large influence of 30%. Keywords: Learning model, discovery learning, outcomes learning, cognitive, Quasi Experimental

Abstract

 AbstractThis study entitled the effect of learning difficulties on students' cognitive learning achievement on the subject of reaction rates for class XI science at SMA Santo Paul Manokwari. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning difficulties on students' cognitive learning achievement on the subject of reaction rates in class XI IPA at SMA Santo Paulus Manokwari and to find out the relationship between learning difficulties and cognitive learning achievements of students on the subject of reaction rates in class XI IPA in Saint Paul Manokwari High School. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between learning difficulties and students' cognitive learning achievement on the subject of the reaction rate of class XI IPA at SMA Santo Paulus Manokwari of 0.51 while the effect of learning difficulties on cognitive learning achievement is 26.60%. Based on the magnitude of the influence and relationship, it is  concluded that learning difficulties have a positive effect on cognitive chemistry learning achievemen.Keywords: Learning Difficulty, Reaction Rate, Quantitative Method, Descriptive Approach and Cognitive Learning Achievement.

Abstract

AbstractLearning Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered learning model. The entire teaching and learning process is oriented to the PBL learning model to help students become independent. The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is very important to improve student learning success in chemistry subjects, using an appropriate approach, namely the scientific approach. The learning method used is classroom action research (PTK) using the Krut Lewin's PTK model, carried out through 2 cycles containing four components in each cycle, namely: planning, action, saving, and reflection. Based on the results of review articles from several studies, it is reported that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can increase student activity and learning outcomes in good categories. Application of this model students can solve problems faced at school. In addition, this model is an alternative solution to solving low student learning outcomes due to a lack of interest in learning and motivation in students in the learning process. Keywords: interest learning model, scientific, problem based learning

Abstract

Abstract Activity of playing is the Player Unknown's Battle Ground (PUBG) online game is done excessively with outrealizing it canimpact students' low learning achievement, especially chemistry subjects,  which are considere ddifficult and tedious. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of addiction behavior playing online games PUBG (Player Unknown's Battle Ground) on cognitive chemistry learning achievement of students at Yapis Manokwari Senior High School, to determine the relationship between addiction behavior playing PUBG online games (Player Unknown's Battle Ground) and cognitive learning achievement. Chemistry of students at Yapis Manokwari High School and the impact of addictive behavior on playing the Player Unknown's Battle Ground (PUBG)online game on students' chemistry learning achievement at Yapis Manokwari High School. This research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. This study indicates that there is an influence of addictive behavior to play The Player Unknown's Battle Ground (PUBG) online game on the cognitive chemistry learning achievement of students at Yapis Manokwari High School. The effect was 43.8%, while the relationship between addiction behavior to play online games PUBG (Player Unknown's Battle Ground) and chemistry learning achievement was strongly correlated or correlated with 0.67.Keywords: Quantitative methods, Learning achievement, Game’s, Addiction

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the STAD learning model on the cognitive learning outcomes of students on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution material of class X IPA SMA Kristen YABT Manokwari. The research method used was pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-postest design. The retrieval technique uses saturated sampling. The data collection tool is a test of learning outcomes. Based on the result of the data processing obtained, the average pretest score was 48.22 and the postest average score was 96.00. Based on the result of the paired sample t-test, it was found that there were significant pretest and postest mean scores on the cognitive learning outcomes of students using the STAD type cooperative learning model which gave an effect of 20.15%.  Key words: Learning model, STAD,Cognitive learning outcomes, and Electrolyte Solutions Non-Electrolyte
