Abstract

Emergency services are very important things to be noticed. One key factor in quality of emergency services is quality of human resources. The aim of this study was to analysis the effects of Public Safety Center simulation toward increased self efficacy in Integrated Emergency Service System Coordination. Research design was quasi experimental design with pretest – posttest without control group approach. Research sample was Public Safety Center Training participants in Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Purworejo on 17th-18th March 2017 with 38 participants. Research instrument was used questioner. Data was analyzed by wilcoxon test with significance 5%. The result was revealed that Public Safety Center increased self efficacy in Integrated Emergency Service System Coordination with p value < 0,001. The result showed that emergency training with simulation method could increased the quality of healthcare providers in emergency services.  With the increasing human resources capacity, it is expected that service to patients will be optimized and as expected.

Abstract

Infants hospitalization in the neonatal intensive care unit adversely affect for infants and parents. Efforts that can be developed to minimize the negative impact is by applying family centered care. The first step is to identify needs of parents. In previous study examined the differences in needs of particular groups of parents. This study aimed to identify the needs of parents in critically ill infants care in the neonatal intensive care unit. The research method was descriptive quantitative design. The samples were 45 respondents and data collection was done by using questionnaires NICU Family Need Inventory. Data analysis was done by score mean. This research has been carried out in the NICU Government Hospital of Bandung Raya. The quantitative result indicated that parents with critically ill infants in  the NICU need assurance most (M = 3,90), followed by information (M = 3,82), proximity (M = 3,76), support (M = 3,49), and comfort (M = 3,37). Needs of parents are focused on the wellbeing of their infants. In doing nursing care, in addition to improving care to the infants, the nurses also should pay attention to needs of parents related to the assurance that their infants get the best care, open communication, and close contact with their infants. By identifying the needs of parents in the NICU, it can allow nurses to integrate the needs of parents into family centered care so that parents can meet these needs, get satisfaction, and can improve the quality of life infants.

Abstract

A woman who is in pregnancy period often undergoes many changes, whether physical changes or psychological changes. Prenatal Yoga performed during pregnancy can help women focus on the process of labor, exercise to tolerate pain, and changes in stress and anxiety into energy. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence prental yoga on the anxiety level of primigravida mother trimester II and III. This research is pre experiment with one group pre and posttest design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the respondents of the research as many as 14 trimester II and III primigravida mothers who had not previously followed prenatal yoga. The statistic test used is Paired Samples T-Test parametric test. Result: This research obtained result of parametric test analysis Paired Samples T-Test p-value = 0,004 <α = 0,05 and value (tcount = 3,726)> (ttable = 1,771) then Ho rejected which means that prenatal yoga have positive effect and significantly to decrease the anxiety level of trimester II and IIImother primigravida. There is prenatal influence of yoa on anxiety level of anxiety of trimester II and III primigravida motherin studio of Qita Yoga South Semarang SubdistrictSemarang City.

Abstract

Nurses are at the forefront of health care. Satisfied or not the patient to the health service is an indicator and one of the determinants of good quality of nursing service quality. Professional and qualified nurses must have hard skill and soft skill skills. Soft skill skills include the ability to communicate, empathy and caring. Caring is an attitude of caring, respect and respect for others. In fact, many nurses do not reflect caring behavior in giving nursing care to clients. The purpose of this study is to provide intervention in the form of therapeutic communication to develop or improve caring behavior of nurses so that this will affect the quality of nursing service & patient satisfaction. Type of research is pre experiment. Sample of six nurses were taken with sampling quota technique and patient of five people taken by purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at Rumkit Tk II. Dr. Soepraoen Malang. The research variables were caring and patient satisfaction. Intervention given is therapeutic communication training for 1 month. Data analysis using univariate analysis. There is an increase in caring behavior of nurses, especially in terpeutik communication and increased patient satisfaction after nursing care given by nurses who have received caring behavior training: It is recommended to the nurse to maintain caring behavior in every nursing care in patients, especially in communicating.

Abstract

According to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission, violence against children is divided into: physical violence, neglect, sexual violence, and emotional violence. The recent rise in cases of child abuse and tending to increase from year to year indicates a weakening of concern and concern for the case. FGD as a method of learning for parents in an effort to increase knowledge and ability to recognize violence prevention in children. This study included experimental quasy research type with pretest-posttest group design. The research variables are FGD and level of knowledge with ordinal data scale. Data presented descriptively in the form of percentage, tabulation of frequency / cross tabulation and analysis with test of wilcoxon Result: Wilcoxon test result got p value (0.000) <α (0.05). Discussion: FGDs on child abuse effectively increase the knowledge of parents. FGD method is the most easily accepted method by parents

Abstract

Autism spectrum children have a complex growth disorder that deals with communication, social interaction, and behavior which can cause anxiety disorder in parents. This anxiety can affect their parenting styles to children. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlationbetween parents anxiety level and parenting styles of children with autism spectrum disorder at Special-Educational-Need (SEN)(Indonesian : Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB)) school students in Bandung. The method using correlational design. Samples were taken by using total samplingtechnique. This study used Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. Data were analyzed by using Spearman Rank test. The result of the study found that 26 parents (54,2%) suffer moderate anxiety and 4 parents (8,3%) suffer severe anxiety, while parents implemented authoritative parenting is 26respondents (54,2%) and 9 parents (18,8%) implemented permissive parenting. There is a correlation between parents anxiety level and parenting styles in autism spectrum children at Special-Educational-Need (SEN) (Indonesian: Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB)) school students in Bandung (p value = 0,009; r-value = 0,374). Based on result of this study, for the education institutions and health institutions espescially nurses are expected to educate parents about how to pressing anxiety level and implementing the right parenting styles in children with Autism Spectrum as well as the impact of the parenting

Abstract

Each educational unit has a system to produce qualified graduates. Higher education system in Indonesia has four main stages namely input, process, output and outcomes. To produce quality outcomes, it is necessary to improve the learning process. One of the efforts to improve the learning process is by using the method of learning in accordance with the Competency Based Curriculum that is cooperative learning method, one of these methods that can be applied is cooperative learning method jigsaw. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning methods on motivation and student learning outcomes in Diploma Program Nursing of STIKes Kepanjen. This research method using quantitative method with quasi experimental design with pre-test-post-test, statistical test used is paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the provision of learning methods using cooperative type Jigsaw can affect student motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

Dengue Hemorragic Fever (DHF) is a disease that spread rapidly. The way of spreading dengue fever through Aedes Aegypti mosquito bites. During the year of 2005-2009, the incident of DHF in DKI Jakarta was always high. It is a challenge for local government in Jakarta to solve the problem. Controling the growth of dengue virus through PSN (Pemberantasan Sarang Nyamuk) movement requires perseverance, motivation, and community participation. Therefore, research which describe about health behavior related practice of DHF prevention in society is need to be conducted. This quantitative research with cross sectional method aim to describe the DHF prevention practice in an endemic DHF place. The purposive sampling method was used to gain 148 research participants. This study found that 68,69% research participants have prevention practices at a moderate level, and there are still 15% have bad prevention practices. Based on this it is expected that assistance and support of health workers can improve the prevention practice of DHF.
