Proses review dalam jurnal ini menggunakan double-blind peer-review, yang berarti identitas reviewer dan penulis dirahasiakan dari reviewer, dan sebaliknya.

Abstract

The phenomenon of revenge tourism pertains to the inclination of individuals to embark on travels as a way of "getting even" after having been constrained for a prolonged period because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This has led to the implementation of policies by governments, such as Indonesia and other nations worldwide, that restrict human movement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bans on activities outside the home and travel in Indonesia have led to the emergence of anxiety, boredom, stress, and prolonged fatigue among many people. The MICE industry is experiencing rapid growth within the tourism sector. This is due to the high demand for individuals and companies to hold meetings and events. However, the current mobility restriction policy has led to the cancellation of certain MICE activities due to the risk of large gatherings. Nonetheless, the exhibition and conference business sector has been able to adapt to the current situation by optimizing IT technology, events that were initially held offline when the pandemic spread turned into online events. As a result, the conference and exhibition sector demonstrates greater resilience in comparison to other industries like impresarios and incentive trips. The nature of this research is descriptive and qualitative, utilizing a phenomenological approach to delve deeper into the phenomenon of revenge tourism. The focus will be on the perspectives of the organizers and exhibitors of such events, with the aim of drawing conclusions about the extent of this phenomenon in specific fields.

Abstract

  This research begin with careful observation when the researcher went to Wakatobi for scuba diving. Researcher finds Wakatobi is a beautiful destination both upper and under the sea. Researcher find that tourism development, infrastructure in Wakatobi did not suitable enough for their great potential to become big destination. Therefore, researcher search for suitable aspects to define Wakatobi as a prospect-full destination for diver. The research is about value chain analysis that includes all international class criteria for a destination. Purpose of this journal is to determine which is the most important points from diver’s perspective, based on their last experience in Wakatobi. The respondent is selected by asking whether they have been to Wakatobi for dive or not. The result of this research concludes that first priority to diver’s perspective is Food and Beverage, second is the tourism assets in destination, third accommodation. From nine aspects of value chain analysis about current condition, transportation got the lowest mean, and tourism assets got the highest mean. Therefore, the analysis of all points concludes into SWOT Analysis to determine strategies on how Wakatobi should be managed to become comprehensive and sustainable destination in the future.

Abstract

In organizing an event especially a conference consist of 2 (two) big series of events which are the main events and supporting events. The opening and closing ceremony are the series of supporting events that have important functions which inseparable from the main event, which is meeting session. During the event of Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2018, the opening and closing ceremony are the main basis for the first assessment and impression of the event given by the delegates for the success factors of the event. This research uses qualitative method and determined on the basis of direct observation of the object under study and data collection techniques using observational methods and questionnaire methods. The results of this study show that the success of the opening and closing ceremony have some important functions of the event value and will be affected for the upcoming event Asia Youth International Model United Nations.

Abstract

Promotional activities are very important to inform tourist destinations and MICE to the wider community. Promotional activities can be carried out through various media, none other than print media or electronic media. The Department of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism (Disporyata) continues to strive to create culture and tourism with character in the city of Depok. These efforts are carried out by optimizing programs for art development, cultural preservation, and increasing tourism. The purpose of this research is to determine the condition of stand alone venues MICE in Depok City and to find out the efforts of Disporyata in promoting stand alone venues MICE in Depok City. This research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method based on the results of active field observations, interviews with the parties involved, and the results of documentation during the research. The results of this research are that Disporyata has devised a strategy in promoting independent MICE venues in Depok City, namely creating a website "Nyok Ke Depok" and making a promotional video. Abstract

Depok has many options of venues for holding an event. Nowadays, Depok has managed to be more active in promoting the available venue and accommodation. This research aims to explain the readiness of The Margo Hotel and the role of city government in collaboration with holding an event in Depok. During the research process, the author found that organizing a large-scale exhibition in Depok must have a suitable venue in terms of facilities, capacity, and accommodation. The Margo Hotel is one of the potential venues for holding exhibitions in Depok. This research used a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The data collection was obtained from an interview process with The Margo Hotel and the Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism Office of Depok also observing the venue. On the other hand, the secondary data had obtained from The Margo Hotel documents. This research showed that the Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism Office of Depok has established a website as one of the promotional efforts for MICE and Tourism activities in Depok. These promotional efforts aim to develop the collaboration between stakeholders and the city government to make exhibitions in Depok, specifically for holding large-scale exhibitions.
