Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries in the world that has a large number of workers. The increasing number of workers turns out to make conflicts between workers and companies more frequent. Not only workers, retired workers also experience problems with companies because their rights are not fulfilled. This paper analyzes and describes the social movement HIPPMA (Association of Plantation Pensioners Maju Bersama) to fight for the rights of retired workers. The research method used in this study is using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews and observations as well as literature studies and are interpreted based on the support of literature reviews so that a conclusion can be drawn. Theories about social movements and resource mobilization are used as analytical tools. The results showed that social movements are fundamental as a forum for workers to convey their aspirations. The difference between this HIPPMA organization and others is that the HIPPMA organization has a membership of PTPN II retirees and has different rights issues but they still fight together for these different rights. Social movements do not always reach destruction because in this HIPPMA organization they have high solidity and struggle for 20 years. Some of the successes of the HIPPMA social movement are already visible. The results that have been obtained are SHT (Old Age Compensation) for pensioners in 1991-1999 has been paid off by PTPN II, the issuance of BPN Decree number 42, 43, 44 / HGU / BPN / 2002 concerning Ministerial Decree 42 which issued 558.35 Ha of land for plantation pensioners. In addition, members of the HIPPMA organization have protection from the police, legal entities and government by issuing valid letters from the government so that retired plantations of the HIPPMA organization until now have not been evicted.

Abstract

Linguistics' field of pronunciation studies how words are pronounced and their intended meanings, arrangement, and classification of sounds as linguistic components. Then pronunciation is often associated in the pronunciation of a poem. It started with an oral tradition because previously poetry was made to be performed. Focusing on the phonemic inventory of poetry, several studies have found a non-arbitrary relationship between the frequency of occurrence of certain phoneme classes and the "emotional meaning", or emotional connotation of certain phonemes and their influence on the perception of the emotional tone of poetry. This research is classified as a collective enterprise and non-experimental descriptive research. PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) was used in this study to collect data as part of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). There were 113 data collected from various accredited and Scopus indexed sources such as Elsevier were mobilized to search the data. There are several papers that eliminated by problem topic, publication criteria, and the main outcome, namely the relationship between poetry and pronunciation in writing, 1 journal left. The main key keyword is also obtained, namely "additional language-learner". Then to determine the influence of poetic style on pronunciation, the author identified it through the use of rhyme and rhythm as well as physical engagement, this technology was able to capture "micro-moments" of peer-to-peer learning, illustrating how these techniques might be used to successfully engage students whose first language was not being used in the classroom.

Abstract

The relationship that exists between fans and their idols is considered to have a special meaning. The existence of distance and time makes fans only able to see their idol from television or social media which happened in one direction. The one-way relationship builds parasocial interactions between fans and their idols where fans feel they understand, care, and sense how their idols felt. Parasocial interactions were experienced by fans and their idols, including BTS and their fans called ARMY. This study uses a qualitative method. This research on BTS and ARMY aims to find out what forms of parasocial interaction are carried out by ARMYs with BTS and how ARMYs interpret these interactions. The research was conducted on six participants who are ARMYs. Data collection was conducted by interview and literature study. The study was conducted in Jakarta from March to July 2022. The research was conducted by linking the answers of the informants using Hoffner's four parasocial interaction effects, which are sense of companionship, pseudo-friendship, role models in behavior, and personal identity. Researchers found that the parasocial effect is described as a form of admiration of fans for their idols. Also, ARMY considers that the parasocial interactions that occur with BTS have a positive impact and that positive impact were implemented in everyday life

Abstract

Big Data is the new oil. The real issue of the development of information technology is the existence of Big Data. Big Data is very important, talking about Big Data not only touches the issue of how big data you have, but what can be done with the data. The high cost of Big Data access is inversely proportional to the collection of data through surveys or censuses for free. analysis of the application of efficiency theory in an economic approach in imposing access costs to statistical activities, knowing the impact of imposing Big Data access fee tariffs, knowing the potential of Big Data as a supporter of official statistics in the future, what are the obstacles and solutions in implementing it. The preparation of this paper is juridical-empirical research with the nature of descriptive research with an economic law approach. Big Data is managed for different purposes using different systems and methods and not necessarily using statistical rules. The implementation of Big Data as a new data source is carried out through a combination of data sources. The imposition of Big Data access fees as a source of data supporting official statistics causes low utilization of Big Data as a new data source. The information technology revolution makes Big Data has the potential to complement, replace, improve, add, and improve the composition of existing statistical data sources, and produce more timely outputs. Difficult access and high costs for data collection are major obstacles. Therefore, it needs to be supported by legal instruments that facilitate its implementation in Indonesia. One is the reformulation of existing regulations that make it easier for basic statistical organizations to obtain such data sources for free and use only in the national interest

Abstract

This study provides empirical evidence related to the application of fixed asset accounting at the level of ministries or institutions' work units, with the research location at a university in Indonesia. Through this research, it can be proven that recording the value of fixed assets in the Statement of Financial Position sourced from the conversion of the value of capital expenditures in the LRA tends to cause problems if the codification of expenditure accounts does not contain the separation of recording the components of building support. The research in this study used a descriptive method by tracing historical/documentation data. The data studied comes from the documentation of planning/budgeting, budget realization, and financial reporting in 2015, especially those related to capital expenditure and fixed asset recording. The documentation starts from DIPA, RKA-KL, SPM, Contract Documents, Supervisory Consultant Reports, Contractor Reports for Construction Development Work, Financial Reports from SAIBA applications, and data from SIMAK-BMN. Data processing was carried out using descriptive statistical methods with the help of the Microsoft Excel application program. The results of this study indicate that after separating the recognition of building support components, the value of additional fixed assets in the agency in 2015 changed significantly. This research concludes that reclassification is needed after the value of capital expenditure is converted into the value of fixed assets to comply with PSAP 07, and maintenance expenditure can be budgeted

Abstract

Da'wah to invite people to good and prevent bad deeds must be done to everyone without exception, including those with disabilities such as the Deaf. However, proselytizing to those who are deaf rarely gets attention and is still done individually. There needs to be a transformative deaf da'wah approach in spreading Islamic values as done by Dr. Omar at the Yaqeen Institute. This study aims to describe Dr. Omar's Deaf da'wah approach and be able to provide examples for other preachers. The research method uses qualitative descriptive techniques with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study explain that Dr. Omar's da'wah approach is based on deaf mad'u with Sign Language Interpreters playing an important role in transferring his da'wah messages. Mad'u Tunarungu makes the da'wah approach use a variety of delivery to be understood and accessible for those who are deaf such as the use of various social media Instagram, Youtube and Twitter, he also makes deaf works of books. Thus, those who are deaf are able to access and receive their message of da'wah anywhere and anytime. However, it requires deaf people to be able to master sign language in order to understand Dr. Omar Suleiman's Friday sermon

Abstract

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of liquidity on the performance of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. The study employed annual panel data of 8 out of the 9 banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. The random effect model was used with the aid of Hausman test. The data used for the study spans from 2015 to 2019. The study found among other things that 34.8% variation in the return on asset of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange can be explained by sales growth rate, firm size and liquidity. The study revealed that liquidity and sales growth do not have any statistically significant effect on the profitability of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. However, the size of a bank in terms of its total assets has a significant effect on the profitability of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. The study finds that liquidity and sales growth do not have any statistically significant effect on the profitability of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange, the size of a bank has statistically significant effect on the return on assets of banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. It was recommended that banks listed on the GSE must work on reducing their interest expense to enhance their liquidity positions. Managers of banks listed on the GSE must work at increasing their asset base as there exists a significant relationship between size and profitability
