Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance using the Economic Value Added (EVA) method in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the last five years (2016-2020 period). The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data used is secondary data in the form of Company Financial Statements obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results of the study were based on an analysis using the EVA method from five food and beverage companies that had good financial performance (positive EVA) during the 2016-2020 period, namely MLBI, MYOR, and ULTJ. Analysis of the company's performance with the method shows the EVA fluctuating results. This is because the value of NOPAT and capital charges is very influential on EVA results. Where if the NOPAT value is greater than the value of capital charges, the resulting EVA will increase and vice versa. The results of the EVA analysis show that positive accounting earnings do not always show the results that the EVA value is also positive. This is due to an increase in the cost of equity capital which greatly affects the value of WACC which results in an increase in the value of capital charges borne by the company, where the value of capital charges reduces the value of EVA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of the financial performance of building sub-construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period using the Du Pont System method. The Du Pont System includes the calculation of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Return On Investment (ROI), Equity Multiplier (EM) and Return On Equity (ROE). The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach and the data collection technique used is the company's annual report documentation technique. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be seen that the Du Pont System analysis of building construction sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period shows a fairly good ROE performance, this is based on a comparison of industry standards. PT. Total Bangun Persada Tbk and PT. Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk is the company with the largest ROE, namely 18.37% and 17.18%, when compared to industry standards, these two companies are in very good condition. This indicates that the company is able to provide a very good return on the capital invested by the shareholders. The results of the research show that the average NPM ratio is in good condition which reflects the company can reduce costs so as to produce maximum profit. The average ratio of TATO and ROI shows a bad company condition that reflects the company's inefficient management of assets for sales and inefficient investment of assets. The results of the average EM show that the company's condition is quite good which reflects the company's efficiency in using its own capital to finance assets.

Abstract

In essence, African political thought evolved as a result of colonialism and the anti-colonial reactions of first-order African elites. The debate among the episodic and the epochal school of thought over the place of colonialism in African political thought suggests that it took colonialism to inform the people of the continent that they were Africans. Also that Africa had a glorious pre-colonial past. It offered the diverse peoples of the continent a rallying point for unity. This unity was the basis of the anti-colonial reactions especially in the decade before political independence in Africa. This work attempts to examine the origin of African political thought, and the decolonization process in selected regions of the continent namely North-West Africa (Tunisia and Morocco) and British West-Africa. The main source of data collection depends on secondary materials

Abstract

The main risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) in adults seem to be influenced, at least in part, by behavioral habits formed in infancy. According to research, teens do not understand the risk for cardiovascular disease and do not believe they are at risk (Vanhecke et al., 2006). Teenagers' longitudinal observations reveal risk factors including obesity remain over time and are connected to the clustering of metabolic syndrome components (Berenson et al., 2005)., According to an Indian study, adolescents from middle- and upper-class families in India have a significant frequency of metabolic and dietary coronary risk factors (Gupta et al., 1998) . In light of this, the current study was conducted to determine the level of risk factor awareness among schoolchildren. The sampling frame consisted of all students enrolled in grades matric through intermediate at the School A in Pakistan.

Abstract

A control group, three groups treated with chromium chloride hexahydrate, and three groups supplemented with Cr-Pic were generated from labeorohita fingerlings. Results from the experimental group T4 that had been given 0.3 mg/kg of (Cr-Pic) and carbohydrates showed significance (P 0.05). In comparison to the control and other experimental groups, Labeo rohita showed superior growth. The aquaculture business has a minimal growth tendency, and the goal of fish feed formulation is to give fish a workable diet to improve their bodies. The biological machinery of fish relies heavily on organic and inorganic chromium compounds added to carbohydrates as an energy source. This article describes the impact of chromium picolinate (organic) and chromium chloride hexahydrate (inorganic) on Labeorohita's ability to grow and its genotoxicity. Seven groups (each with a replica) were used, with 30 each being watched in groups T5, T6, and T7. The results of the comet assay showed that fish erythrocytes had genetic damage according to dosage and Cr (organic or inorganic). So, by 0.31 mg/kg concentration, the greatest comet metrics (Tail length, Tail DNA, and Olive Tail Moment) were detected. This study suggested that organic Cr may be employed as a growth stimulator if inorganic Cr was hazardous. Overall findings suggested that organic chromium supplementation of 0.31 mg/kg should be reevaluated for growth. The goal of this research initiative is to encourage fish producers to use organic Cr-added feed because it increases yield while improving growth performance and has positive health impacts for customers that lower the danger of toxicity.

Abstract

An essential part of commercial poultry production is safeguarding flocks of birds against contamination by unwanted microorganisms. Currently, a serious issue called salmonellosis poses a threat to the chicken industry globally. The two most virulent serovars in avian species, Salmonella gallinarium and Salmonella pullorum (Fowl Typhoid) cause systemic infection and significant financial losses in the poultry sector. Salmonella nontyphoidal serotypes (Paratyphoid illness) pose a risk to the public's health because of their role in cases of food poisoning and their significance as zoonotic agents. All animals, including humans, can transmit the intestinal bacterium known as salmonella. Out of a total of 2500 serovars, Salmonella pullorum (pullorum illness) and S. gallinarum (bird typhoid) are the two host-adapted serovars that primarily harm poultry. Salmonella can spread horizontally from contaminated environments to birds as well as vertically from parent flocks to offspring. The danger of the introduction and persistence of infections can be substantially reduced by good management of biosecurity. This study is an overview of Salmonella in poultry which tell us some diagnostic and treatment of salmonella. By reading this study people will get sound knowledge regarding salmonella even they will be able to do desirable management in order to save their birds from Salmonella.
