Abstract

Introduction:This pandemic disaster significantly reduced the community's self-care ability related to physical function and vitality and the lack of mitigation by using their own capacity. Based on this, it was emphasized how important it is to identify early on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Decreased Self-Care events, so that it is necessary to implement Public Education and Awareness for Disaster (PEAD) in overcoming these impacts. Methods: Type Analytical survey with cross sectional design. The sample is people in the city of Banjarmasin who are affected by the pandemic and measured Decreased Self-Care through the DSCAI-90 parameter. The statistical test used is Kolmogorov-Smirnov.Results:The average Decreased Self-care of respondents affected by the post-covid-19 disaster is that they lack self-care or require assistance (62.4%). Based on the statistical test obtained a significance value of 0.003.Conclusions:There is a relationship between identification of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic disaster on the incidence of decreased self-care. One form of Public Education and Awareness for Disaster that is given to the community is the provision of education about nursing care after a pandemic disaster through virtual care.

Abstract

Introduction : Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an intervention in the administration of chest compressions that aims to restore and maintain the function of vital organs in victims of cardiac arrest. The lack of quality of CPR in nursing students has an impact on the safety level of a person who experiences cardiac arrest. Therefore, nursing students need CPR skills training using metronome aids in determining the speed of chest compressions in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) recommendations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of metronome on the speed of chest compressions in CPR.Method: This research belongs to the quantitative type of design of Quasy Experiments (pseudo-experiments) pretest posttest without control groups. The sample used in this study was 25 students of the 6th semester nursing study program of Kendal Institute of Health Sciences. Sampling technique using purposive sampling.Result: The results of the study obtained that the average pre-intervention was 126 x / min and the average post-intervention was 117 x / min. The results of the hypothesis test using the Wilcoxon test obtained ap value of 0.036 (p <0.05) which means that there is an influence of the use of metronome on chest compression speed in CPR.Conclusions: Chest compression exercises using a metronome can be used to regulate the speed of chest compressions.

Abstract

Introduction: Recurrence in people with mental disorders is often due to medication withdrawal. The primary supporter of giving medications at home is the family. The purpose of this study was to identify the family strategy for treating family members who have mental disorders with antipsychotic medications.Method: The method used in this study is survey-based descriptive quantitative research with 100 samples that are representative of families with mental disorders and using accidental sampling technique. The inclusion criteria were family accompanying them with mental disorders control to a mental hospital who had difficulty taking medicine. The researcher's questionnaire is based on a literature review. The analysis and presenting of data use frequency distribution. Results: The survey showed that the strategy most often used was to involve patients in the decision to get medicine (100%). The most frequently successful families were to understand patients' importance and remind them when to take medicine (93%), but most often, it didn't work. Instead, what is done is to involve the patient in the decision to get the medications (16%), and the most that has never been done is to change the oral to injection medication (65%).Conclusions: A family responsibility to reduce the rate of recurrence should be to remind the patient to take their medications.

Abstract

Introduction: The application of the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (SDKI), the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI) and the Indonesian Nursing Outcomes Standards (SLKI) are very important for nurses to know in carrying out nursing care practices in all health care settings. Nursing diagnoses are part of the stages of the nursing process, currently the SDKI is used as a benchmark and guide in establishing nursing diagnoses in order to provide effective and safe nursing care.Method: This study uses a quantitative design with descriptive analysis by measuring the frequency distribution. using accidental sampling which refers to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria set by the researcher. The research will be conducted using a Google Form and distributed to nursing students at nursing education institutions in the AIPNI Regional XII area. Results: The characteristics of the majority of research respondents are in the age range of 17-25 years (67.4%), the dominant gender is female (87.2%), Muslim (74.5%), and the origin of the location of the institution is mostly from South Sulawesi (33.5%). The level of knowledge of respondents was in the low category as many as 234 respondents (58.5%), enough category 158 respondents (39.5%), and good category as many as 8 respondents (2%).Conclusions: The level of knowledge majority in the low category, so we need to increase the knowledge of nursing students about the use of SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI references in nursing care documentation, for example through socialization and training on the use of 3S.
