Abstract

Pulley is a component product that is widely used in power transfer and rotation systems, such as in milling, machines with electric motor and fuel motor drives. The effect of molten metal pouring temperature needs to be examined so that pulley products are obtained which have mechanical properties in accordance with their usefulness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of casting temperature variations on pulley casting products on hardness, toughness and metallography of used aluminum raw materials. The smelting process uses a crucible furnace in the Prokalmasi45 University metal casting laboratory. Sand molds are made of three types for casting with different temperatures, each of the same pouring temperature is made of each of the three sand molds. The pouring of aluminum molten metal is carried out at temperatures of 670oC, 700oC and 730oC. Measurement of the temperature of molten metal casting using an infrared measuring instrument is carried out when the molten metal is ready to be poured into the mold. Hardness testing was carried out by Brinell hardness testing machine, toughness testing with ASTM D256-03 standard Charpy impact testing machine and metallographic observation on each specimen using an optical microscope. The test results show that the influence of pouring temperature on hardness is the highest hardness obtained at 700oC pouring with a hardness value of 77.05 BHN, while the lowest hardness value is obtained at pouring 670oC with a hardness value of 64.02 BHN. Effect of pouring temperature on toughness is the highest toughness value obtained at 670oC pouring at 0.0608 joule / mm2, while the lowest toughness value at 700oC pouring is 0.0438 joule / mm2. The influence of the pouring temperature on the microstructure is pouring 700oC to spread the elements of Fe, Si and Mg evenly, while the pouring at temperatures of 670oC and 730oC has almost the same characteristics, namely elements of Fe and Si compound while the elements Al and Mg are separate compounds.

Abstract

In a ship generally has 2 types of engines, namely the Main Engine (ME) as the driving force of the ship and the Auxiliary Engine (AE) as a supplier of electricity from the power generated by ME. At present the Amrta Jaya 1 Ship utilizes the ME exhaust gas to heat the boiler economizer. Unfortunately this is considered less efficient because the distance is too far between ME and economizer so it takes longer when OHN (one hour notice). To overcome the conventional method, the research was carried out by utilizing the AE exhaust gas which has a distance closer to the economizer. Calculations to determine the heat loss that occurs from the exhaust gas AE to economizer through a copper nickel pipe with a diameter of 1 inch and an insulation thickness of 2 cm, obtained heat loss of 10,539 Watts where the value is still below the maximum heat loss piping system assumed to be 923.52 Watts. So that by utilizing this auxiliary engine exhaust gas, it can be carried out a cost savings of around Rp. 7,875,000.00 when the ship performs an OHN.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the the effect of using ASSURE instructional design model based Visual Basic learning media to mathematical communication. This type of research is classroom action research. Methods of data collection of this study was by observation, test method, field note, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data analysis process, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' mathematical communication. This is seen from the indicators: (1) the ability of students to express the symbols, notations, and mathematical equations completely and correctly before the action 31.25% and after the action 87.50%, (2) the ability of students in raising the problem / issue before action 18.75% and after action 68,75%, (3) student ability to respond problem / problem from other student before action 12,50% and after action 56,25%, and (4) ability of student to explain conclusion obtained before action 37.50% and after action 87.50%.

Abstract

The increased crime of motorcycle theft and plunder in the State of Indonesia makes citizens increasingly feel insecure. Although various ways are done to prevent theft and seizure of motorcycles, among others, by replacing the ignition key model or installing a double key still does not make thieves desperate. Making this tool is intended to reduce the theft and seizure of motorcycles. With this tool will make it easier for the owners of motorcycles because the system works this tool by utilizing sms facilities. The working principle of this tool when the vehicle contact ON, motorcycle users are required to enter a password of 4 digit number. If the password is correct, the machine can be turned on, but if the password is entered incorrectly, the machine can not be turned on, the horn will sound on a regular basis, and the modem will send an alert SMS to the owner of the motorcycle. This tool can work effectively because it can reduce the theft of a motorcycle, this tool can also be used as an alternative safeguard on other motor vehicles.

Abstract

The birth of computer and internet technology has presented alternatives in the use of communication media in various sectors, such as promotion and socialization. ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is a continuation of IT (Information Technology). Information and communication technology can be used in the framework of providing information services, because ICT is basically in the form of compiling databases. The purpose of this study is to accelerate accurate and precise information to the public by utilizing WEB-based internet connections as a means of socializing superior products online and mobile, in accordance with site addresses designed to improve economic and social. Successive research methods are qualitative, descriptive and actions where outcomes are in the form of a sustainable system. Computer hardware, software and internet network tools. Product promotion and socialization must use a wide range of media, so that the target of consumers will be more. The IT-based Management Information System is able to access online so that it can be done anywhere as long as it is connected to the internet and provides data security from the risk of loss of documents, damage to documents, and the threat of information / data damage. Thought to provide convenience, effectiveness and efficiency in the promotion and socialization of the products of the partners of the Suryono-Farm Group, one of the forms of modern information use application business. Conclusions in this study note that the use of IT Information Systems through the Website is able to be a marketing information media for catfish production at Suryono Farm, so that people will be easier and faster to find out information and change prices at any time. The mechanism for using Website-based Information Systems at Suryono Farm as Media Marketing information on catfish production, is no longer limited to working hours and facilitates control and changes in data management. Handling the process of entering and updating the marketing information data from catfish production at Suryono Farm can always be automatic updates. This Information System is only as a medium for delivering IT-based information that serves as a service to consumers of catfish production at Suryono Farm.

Abstract

This research aims to spread the means as information about artisans or arts businessmen in Sonorejo area. Previously some people who know about the efforts that exist in the area of sonorejo.information packed in a video is expected to provide information to the public and can be understood, understood by the audience and can be used as a document in the village of Sonorejo. The main software used is the Sony Vegas 13.0. The entire video is a duration of 5.4 minutes consisting of 20 scenes. The products displayed include shadow puppets, drums and calligraphy paintings. The main source is the head of Sono rejo urban village, namely Mr. Widie Hastono, SE., MM. Regardless of the type and model of public service ads, basically public service advertisements should be able to carry external functions with media that provide information clearly, attractively and easily understood by the public in outline.

Abstract

Most of lessons for children in a house or even in a school still use learning methods that use written module as a media. However, technology that is developed to be a reason to reduce the use of written learning media or module that is substituted by digital books. For students, learning digital books are more interested than written module because those can be more interactive to learn. Therefore, it is needed to develop a learning media that is liked by the students. Research method used is research and development. The steps in the research process are analysis, designs, developments, implementations, and testing. Testing is validity that is done by expert judgments. Then, media is tested by the students. After the implementation of validity and media meet the criteria, they are tested or investigated to know the feasibility in the field. This research is aimed to know the result of the development from educating calculated game and the introduction in the name of fruits and animals using macromedia Flash 8, to know the feasibility interactive calculated media and to know the name of fruits and animals as learning media to increase the learning result for elementary schools students grade 1 and early childhoods based macromedia flash, and to know the feasibility as a learning media. Therefore, it can be concluded that interactive calculated learning media and to know the name of fruits and animals can be used as learning media in learning process.

Abstract

The development of games increases very fast. It can be seen by there are many kind of games. Here, the writer would like to create a game which is interesting and able to improve the way to love animals. The players are demanded to solve problems in each stage of game. Game status, instructions, and tools are provided by a game will guide players actively to look for information which are able to enrich their knowledge and strategy to play. To create a game, the writer needs Macromedia Flash 8. There are 12 kinds of main Sprite in this game and 3 rooms. To continue into the next level, the player should pass at the previous level. This game belongs to Action Platformer 2D which aims as the bridge to educate children. The game in level 1 spends around 1 minute, in level 2 is around 2-3 minutes, in level 3 is around 3-5 minutes. This game has passed testing step which was done at Windows 8.1 Enterprise 32 bit and Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit.

Abstract

Many events are hold especially in Solo, they run in social, education, religion, entertainment, etc. In this case, communication has a big role to inform and promote an event to public, and one of the successes of an event can be indicated by many visitors who participate in the event. Participant’s number of an event is influenced by the way and the strategy of promotion. It is important for event organizer to pay attention about it. This article is initiated by many events which are conducted in Solo however the information of the events are not well organized yet. Therefore this article discusses about a web system application as media solution to promote and inform the events to public. The website uses programming language including HTML and PHP with database MySQL. The research method includes analyzing system, designing system, and implementing system. The result of the research is a web system application of event that is used as a medium for promoting and informing solo events which can be accessed by people everywhere and every time.

Abstract

The difficulty of the community in the coastal areas in meeting the needs of clean water until now a problem that has not been solved. An alternative effort that can be done for the provision of clean water is to utilize seawater through several processing processes. One of the practical processing and environmentally friendly way is through the process of solar energy distillation. Distillation is another term for distillation, ie the heating process of a material at various temperatures, without contact with the outside air. The purpose of this research is to know the working system of distillation of solar energy of type two roof, with working principle of destilator tool placed in place not protected by sunlight, container of destilator filled with seawater as much as 40 liters with height 10 cm from destilator container surface. Based on the analysis of research that has been done, the temperature of the environment and the temperature of the glass is not much different and the changes are directly proportional because the absorption of heat on the glass is very small. For hot water temperatures compared to ambient temperatures and glass temperatures, the temperature changes are not too fast due to the influence of water-absorbing power and the absorption of hot sand which becomes the base of the distillator, so that the water temperature is higher than the ambient temperature and the glass temperature. The faster the temperature of the environment and the temperature of the glass goes down the more clean water is produced.
