KABASTRA adalah sebuah jurnal double blind peer-review yang didedikasikan untuk memublikasikan hasil penelitian di bidang bahasa dan sastra. Semua publikasi dalam jurnal KABASTRA bersifat akses terbuka yang memungkinkan artikel tersedia secara bebas online. Pada awal didirikannya, KABASTRA dikelola dan diterbitkan oleh UPT Bahasa Universitas Tidar, lalu selanjutnya melakukan kerja sama dengan HISKI Kedu untuk membantu para dosen, akademisi, praktisi, peneliti, guru, dan masyarakat umum dalam menyebarkan hasil penelitiannya. Jurnal KABASTRA terbit 2 kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Abstract

This study aims to describe the message about the value of character education in Tere Liye's novel Selena and produce the implementation of the message about the value of character education in Tere Liye's novel Selena as a literature teaching material in high school. The approach in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subject is the message about the value of character education in the novel Selena. The data are in the form of sentences and paragraphs containing a message about the value of character education in the novel Selena. The data source of this research is the novel Selena by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. Then the data analysis technique uses content analysis techniques. The results of the study found four values ​​of character education, namely, religious values, integrity, mutual cooperation, and independence. Implementation of research results in the form of handouts for learning literature for class XII SMA Curriculum 2013. Contains material KD 3.9 analyzing the content and language of novels and KD 4.9 designing novels by paying attention to content and language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Inquiry approach as an effort to improve language style learning in class X high school students Ar-Rosyidah Magetan. This research was conducted in semester 2 of the 2021/2022 academic year with two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. The research subjects were grade X students of Ar-Rosyidah Magetan High School in 2021/2022 as many as 35 students consisting of 11 male students and 24 female students. The study was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection using the method of observation and student performance test methods. The results of the study concluded that the application of the inquiry method could improve the learning of the language style of X grade students of Ar-Rosyidah Magetan High School. This can be proven by the results of students' learning completeness. The results of mastery learning in cycle 1 = 57% and cycle 2 = 85%.

Abstract

This research was motivated because it did not meet expectations with the emergence of very prominent differences that were far from the reader's imagination before the novel was filmed. The objectives of this study are: (1) To obtain the form that occurs in the ecranization of characters in the novel and film Keluarga Tak Kasat Mata and to produce review text learning materials in junior high school. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design using a comparative descriptive research method. The sources of data in this study are the novel Keluarga Tak Kasat Mata by Bonaventura Genta and the film Keluarga Tak Kasat Mata by Hedy Suryawan. The data of this research are in the form of phrases, sentences, and parts that contain additions, contractions, changes in variations. The data collection used is a read-listen-note technique. The results showed that the most common form of ecranization was the shrinkage aspect. Learning materials developed from the forms of ecranization can be applied to KD 3.11 and 4.11 class VIII SMP regarding review texts.

Abstract

This research describes the genetic relationship between Jambi Malay and Palembang Malay language. Related research is still rarely done, so this research needs to be carried out. This study describes the percentage of genetic relationship (lexicostatistics), separation time (glotochronology), correspondence devices, and phonological changes that occur in both languages. The main theory used in this research is Keraf (1996). The data were analyzed using interview method with note and record techniques. Quantitative evidence was obtained by using lexicostatistical and glotochronological analysis techniques. The qualitative evidence is obtained by looking for phonemic correspondence and phonological changes that occur in the languages that being compared. The results of this research showed that lexicostatistically, Jambi Malay and Palembang Malay were related by 76%. Glotochronologically, the Jambi Malay and Palembang Malay language separated in the years 1.276-1.462 (2022).). Qualitatively, six sets of phonemic correspondence and three types of phonological changes were found.

Abstract

Local street foods are closely related to their cultural roots, thus the names of the food resemble their cultural identity. It is assumed that every name may have some background knowledge from its origin. This study aims to obtain an extensive description and classification of the lingual unit from West Java’s street foods. This research is an anthropological linguistic study using a descriptive qualitative method with an ethnosemantic approach. The result of this study shows 17 lingual unit data in the form of words, such as acronyms and original Sundanese words. Ten data were found in the form of attributive endocentric phrases which were classified into four parts. Those four parts are attributive phrases based on processing methods, regional origin, basic ingredients, and processed forms.

Abstract

This paper aims at describing the various target domains possibly referred by the source domain ayam 'chiken' found in Indonesian proverbs. By observing data mainly collected from Indonesian proverb book, it is found that ayam 'chiken' as one of the most popular animals raised by Indonesian people can be exploited to metaphorically resemble various source domains. Those are from the most common to the least, are i.e human state, human character, problem, luck, and truth and falsity.
