Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of competitors and consumers in the Factory Bakery. This research was conducted at the Factory Bakery is located at Pogidon Street, Tuminting, Manado. The collection of data carried out for three months, from June 2015 to Agustus 2015. The primary data in this study were taken two ways to measure the variables of consumers by asking directly to consumers for six days, whereas for measuring competitors by asking directly to the owner of the business. The secondary data is obtained through agencies associated with this research. Sampling was done by accidental sampling technique, that where the samples taken are all consumer who are buying the products of Factory Bakery. Analysis of the data used is descriptive. The results show that the segmentation is done by Factory bakery based on gender, occupation, type of education, age, and region of origin has been proved that the Factory of Bakery has understood the needs and desires of consumers well. While the motivation was given in terms of price, service, location, facilities, flavors and shapes and variations to make the consumer has been satisfied with the Factory Bakery. Competitors that exist around the Factory Bakery can make an effort Factory Bakery threatened with various advantages Factory Bakery competitors but could still survive in competition with emphasis on quality products owned.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the forms of community participation of farmers and non-farmers in the Agricultural Road construction Aertrang Malalayang 1 East Village in the Manado City. The benefits of this research are: research is expected to provide information for the public and education about the forms of participation of farmers and non-farmers in agriculture road construction in the Village of Aertrang Malalayang 1, Manado City. This research collect primary dan secondarydata. Primary data collection through direct face to face interviews and field observations (observation) to 20 respondents using questionnaires. The analytical method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results of the study are presented in tabular form. The findings in this study are: (1) The forms of community participation in development activities of agricultural roads in the village Malalayang I Aertrang East, namely: labor, money, materials such as cement, stone and sand. And also, provision of consumption / food to the community members who do the work of farm road construction, (2) community members actively involved in agricultural road construction activities in the Village Malalayang I Aertrang East.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a description of the Petra klapertaart business in terms of raw materials, capital, labor, production, costs, and the amount of profit earned.This research was conducted for one mounth on October 2015. The data used are primary data get from the owner. Petra klapertaart is one of the home industries that can give value added to coconut plants, particularly coconuts, so it can help coconut farmers to improve their economy. Constraints limited capital to run the business, get solution from the Ministry of Agriculture that is Petra klapertaart registered as one of a member the Independent Institute Rooted in the Community (LM3), which receive capital assistance in the form of funds. This led to make a research to see the description of the business profile Petra klapertaart after getting financial aid from the Ministry of Agriculture. Data obtained with primary data taken by researchers from business owners as the the main source. Data collection techniques were done by direct observation and interviews with business owners. The results showed that the Petra klapertaart business is a small-scale business that uses coconut raw materials that processed into klapertaart and became one of the members of the Independent Institute Rooted in the Community (LM3) which get funding. On Klapertaart marketing activities, business owners deal directly with consumers to sell klapertaart. Based on the results, the amount of production, the amount of production in September 2015, which is 12 times the production made two recipes in each production, produce 348 klapertaart cup aluminum foil, make a profit with the ratio of R / C> 1 is equal to 1.84 in September 2015 means, Petra business get the benefits, so this business is effort to develop

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of coconut farmers with horizontal diversification and cropping pattern which provide coconut production and greater revenue. The result showed that amount of the income of coconut farmers with horizontal diversification more than the income of coconut farmers in cultivated monoculture. Horizontal diversification of cropping patterns provides the biggest income is coconut-rice field.

Abstract

This study aims to measure how big the contribution of farming beans on household income of farmers in the village of the District Warembungan, Pineleng Sub-district. Collecting data started from May 2015 to July 2015. Primary data were collected through interviews based on questionnaires and secondary data is data obtained from the Village Government Warembungan and scientific papers related to the study. The data in this research is descriptive analysis and presented in tabular form. The results showed that long bean farming can contribute to the family income of farmers per year in the village of the Warembungan, Village, Pineleng sub-district by 36.33 percent. This suggests that long bean farm income is inportant source of income for farmers who make an important contribution, because the value of long bean farm income to total family income farmers can increase their income more than 35 percent to the total household income of farmers.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the profile of the business yellow rice in District Tuminting, Manado City. The business profile is limited to the amount of profit earned. The study was conducted in Yellow Rice Ci'Ida Tuminting District of Manado City. Data were collected by interview directly with the owners of yellow rice. Variables are calculated for characteristic of entrepreneurs, age, education, long sought, establishment, the owners of capital, organization structure, licensing, production, product type, production process, type of production, packaging and sales, raw materials, labor, buildings and equipment. Yellow rice effort Ci 'Ida is a small business has been operating since 1962 using its own capital and maintain recipes from parents. The yellow rice businesses serve customers every day from 07.00- 11:00 am and  05:00 to 10:00 p.m.. The amount of raw materials used rice ranges between 8-12 kg. On Saturday and Sunday is the highest demand. The highest demand on the benefits obtained is Rp 445 039 per day.

Abstract

The research objective was to assess community participation in each phase of activity in the PNPM Urban at Kleak Village, Malalayang District of Manado City. The method used is qualitative method, which examines the public participation at every stage and sustainability of PNPM Urban. Informants in this study amounted to 5 people on the basis that they can represent the object under study, consisting of: Head of the village, the board of the Institute for Community Empowerment (LPM), Community Self-Supporting Agency, Project Management Team / TPK PNPM Mandiri, and community members. The results showed that people at KleakVillage participated in the implementation of each phase of activity PNPM. It is shown from the community who donated labor, materials and equipment to build their physical environment, but in contributing to the fund are indeed not all community memberwho voluntarily donate. The research conclude that in the process of planning the activities of the National Program for Community Empowerment (PNPM Urban Selfhelp) community in the Kleak Village, had participated fairly well. Kleak Village communities already participating in the implementation of PNPM it is seen from the community who donated labor, materials and equipment to build their physical environment, but in contributing to the fund are indeed some who voluntarily contribute.

Abstract

This research aims to increasing understanding regarding  the community’s income and level of welfare after the implementation of ecotourism in Bahoi village, Likupang Sub-district, North Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted in 4 months, from May to August 2015. Primary and secondary data was used, and data was collected through interviews. The sampling method used was Purposive Sampling that selected 16 respondents (10%) as the sample, representing of total 160 families that reside in Bahoi village. Analysis shows that ecotourism in Bahoi plays an important role in community life because local community can feels its impact, both directly and indirectly, such as getting additional income, knowledge and experience. Based on this research it can be concluded that ecotourism activities in Bahoi plays a role in increasing the locals' income both directly and indirectly, and ecotourism activities has a positive impact on the welfare of the community and is expected to increase community welfare in Bahoi in general.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the participation of farmer’s group in extension activity. The benefit of this research is to support the knowledge for agricultural extension agent.  This research had been conducted for three months from the the preparation to management of report from July to September, 2015 at Kanonang Lima Village Kawangkoan Barat Sub-district, Minahasa Regency. The research uses purposive random sampling of  farmer;s group combined with four farmer groups namely Esa Lalan, Esa Ate, Karondoran and Berkat at Kanonang Lima Village Kawangkoan Barat Sub-district. Only two farmer groups that predominantly namely Esa Lalan and Esa Ate farmer groups. Methods of data collection is done by using the primary data. The primary data obtained directly from Esa Lalan and Esa Ate farmer groups using a list of questions. The collecting data had been conducted by using primary data from Esa Lalan and Esa Ate farmer groups. The participation of farmers’ group in agricultural activity had been classified as active at planning and conducting stage. The presence of farmer to participate in agricultural extension is needed to be increased.

Abstract

Waste Treatment Location (TPA) in North Minahasa Regency need attention, because of the existing TPA has been ineffective so that will impact on the operational feasibility of the TPA. The current TPA is a reservoir of garbage from all over North Minahasa Regency. The management of waste in the TPA is only dredging and filling with the new waste. A new TPA becomes an urgency as a replacement for the old, because without the a new waste disposal location , may cause contamination. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of Waste Disposal Location  (TPA) in  Airmadidi Regency based on eligibility criteria of  Indonesia National Standard. The benefits of this research that it can be use as a reference for the Planning and Regional Development studies in North Minahasa Regency to determent the worthiness of the existing waste Treatment location, and can be taken into consideration for regional planning regarding the worthiness of the existing waste treatment location. Research results show that in TPA Airmadidi the level of feasibility is enough or qualified in terms with minor repairs. In the aspect of social and community perceptions  show that the level of eligibility Very Good, whereas in the physical aspects show that the aspects of waste management are at the feasibility level is less. It can be predicted that the capacity of Waste Treatment Location (TPA) in Airmadidi Regency until the end of 2025 is 458,121.9 metrics. This shows at the end of 2025 could still accommodate a charge of 8479.75 metrics with a high pile has reached 9.81 meter. It means that the existing TPA can still operate above 10 years but with less remaining operating time. However at the end of 2030, the existing TPA is already over load of 173,911.82 metrics with a height of pile 13.8 meter.
