HISTORICAL: Journal of History and Social Sciences is a peer reviewed journal published by Perkumpulan Dosen Fakultas Agama Islam Indramayu. The journal is aimed at spreading the research results conducted by academicians, researchers, and practitioners in the field of history and Social Sciences. The scope of the area in the field of "History" included local history, social history, cultural history, history of science, history of education, historical material In social studies, historiography, history of intellectuals, religion history, Islamic history and civilization. The term “Social Sciences” includes relevant disciplines like economics, management, sociology, psychology, anthropology, geography. communication studies, law, cultural studies, Political Issues, Political sciences and public policy, Government, public administration studies, Population studies, Media studies, development studies, Tourism, and other related disciplines. The journal is published four times a year (March, June, September and December).

<![CDATA[The study wants to assess the factors that affect depression and suicidal tendencies among the students of Shahjalal University of science and technology and MC College, Sylhet. For collecting data and questionnaire method was followed. The researcher selected 50 samples from both of these institutions. In this study, a mixed research approach has been followed. The study disclosed that among the respondents, 90% had an idea about depression, and 90% got depression once in their lifetime. They suffered from major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, etc. and suffered from bipolar disorder. Depression has an adverse effect on student's academic life. Besides, 72% said that they need more consciousness about their depression. The study also revealed that 8% are also addicted to different drugs and alcohol. The study further revealed that 64% thought that the severity of depression could lead someone to commit suicide and 28% said that they thought about suicide during their depression period. The study also recommended that one should pass their time doing activities that can help reduce stress. In their leisure time, they can gossip with their friends, and sharing their feeling with good friends can be another solution to anxiety. The study further added that if they failed, they might commit suicide at a severe level of their depression.]]>

<![CDATA[The relationship between fiscal policy and economic growth has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years. The growth experience of several countries during the last decades has generated a growing strand of theoretical and empirical literature trying to explain these events. Although one could argue that economic growth and fiscal policy influence each other. The aim of this paper is to review the research work conducted on fiscal policies and economic growth, noting that there are three tools of fiscal policy; the first type is government expenditure, the second type is taxation, and the third type is debts. In addition, according to previous research, the relationship between fiscal policy and economic growth is not clear and consistent, where in some cases a positive relationship, while in others it may be a negative relationship. In this paper, we will discuss the concept of fiscal policies, economic growth, and the relationship between those two variables through some of the previous research.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari kebijakan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat tentang pemilihan kepala desa serentak sesuai Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat Nomor 11 Tahun 2019 untuk membentuk sistem pemerintahan di tingkat desa menjadi pemerintahan desa administratif yang berdampak pada Negeri Hunitetu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif yang merujuk pada prosedur-prosedur riset yang menghasilkan data sesuai dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan mengumpulkan referensi yang sesuai dengan masalah penelitian yang selanjutnya dianalisis dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, sistem pemerintahan desa administratif tidak relevan dan membawa dampak negatif terhadap adat dan budaya Negeri Hunitetu.]]>

<![CDATA[In this modern era, technology has developed rapidly. Technological developments are used in various fields of life. In Indonesia itself, one of the fields that takes advantage of technological developments is zakat. Digital Zakat is an innovation carried out by the Amil Zakat Institution to maximize the potential of existing zakat. This research is research with qualitative methods. This research method uses a library approach that originates from books and journals that are appropriate to the topic and research focus. The results of this study state that digital zakat innovations can help Amil Zakat Institutions to collect zakat from Muzakki. Digital zakat will also make it easier for Muzakki to see how the Amil Zakat Institution manages the assets it issues.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this article is to Learn about the comparison between Jainism and Buddhism regarding belief and, ethical similarities, Both had the foundation of the Aryan culture and were propelled by the plain standards and the logic of the Upanishads, especially that of Sankhya-Yoga. Disregarding of God or a skeptical state of mind, negativity, or conviction that human life is full of wretchedness, the teachings of transmigration of the soul and Karma (activity or deed), and a kind of dualism between soul and matter are common to Hindu-Sankhya reasoning, Jainism and Buddhism. In this way, the source of the rationalities of both was the same in spite of the fact that both of them made certain changes in it, the research method is documentary. The information is collected in the form of documents. Finally, the research findings show that both were the products of intellectual, spiritual, and social forces of their age and therefore, both stood up as revolts against the prevalent Brahmanic religion.]]>
