Abstract

The purpose of this cross-sectional study done between December 2009 and February 2010 is to identify which factors are connected with the perception of public transit drivers regarding road safety. According to the results of the study, the elements linked with angkutan kota drivers' opinions of road safety are their knowledge of road safety, their motivation towards road safety, and their experience with accidents and tickets while driving. While the knowledge variable is the most influential factor influencing public transit drivers' perceptions of road safety, other variables also play a role. This indicates that angkutan kota drivers with greater knowledge are 3,790 times more likely to have a positive perception than those with less information. Therefore, it is suggested that angkutan kota owners and related parties (Police and Road Transport Traffic Office), if they want to improve the perception of angkutan kota drivers to drive more safely, build the knowledge and motivation of angkutan kota drivers by holding trainings and mini-workshops on the dangers of accidents while driving.

Abstract

Eye tiredness, according to medical science, is a symptom induced by excessive efforts of the visual system, which is not in perfect condition, to attain visual clarity. Pain or throbbing around the eyes, blurred vision, double vision, difficulty focusing, sore eyes, red eyes, watery eyes, headaches, and dizziness accompanied by nausea are all symptoms of eyestrain. According to a study conducted by the Japanese Ministry of Health (2004), 91.6% of computer operators complained of eye fatigue. This study is quantitative and employs a cross-sectional research approach. According to the findings, the majority of computer users complain of eye fatigue. Furthermore, there is a relationship between age and lighting level with complaints of eye fatigue among computer users at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk's Corporate Customer Care Center (C4) in 2009 with a Pvalue of 0.023 and the lighting level variable has an OR value of 30.00, indicating that the lighting level has a risk of 30 times the incidence of complaints of eye fatigue in computer user workers at C4 PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. The variables refractive error, eye rest, and monitor distance have no correlation with complaints of eye tiredness. To alleviate worker complaints of eye fatigue, The company's advice is to offer lighting in accordance with the required standards for computer workplaces, namely 300 Lux, and to conduct periodic eye checks for employees. When working with a computer, workers should avoid wearing contact lenses because eye fatigue will be felt more rapidly. Meanwhile, future researchers are likely to use a reaction timer to objectively assess eye fatigue and a case-control study design to evaluate other characteristics connected to eye fatigue.

Abstract

There is evidence that catechins and aqueous extracts of the gambir plant (Uncaria gambier Roxb.) has antibacterial action. The purpose of this research was to further evaluate the antibacterial activity of (+)- catechins and an aqueous extract of gambir against Shigella flexneri, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, and Proteus mirabilis. As part of the procedures that were carried out, sensitivity testing to gram-negative bacteria was performed to validate the activity. antimicrobial (+)- catechins and gambier water extract, calculation of the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC), and analysis of the mechanism of inhibition against gram-negative bacteria were all part of this study. The findings of this research show that the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) level for (+)- catechins against Shigella flexneri bacteria is 7.5 mg/ml. The mechanism of action of (+)- catechins is to disrupt cell membranes, which then leads to the leakage of cell components. Ca2+ ions and K+ ions, together with proteins and nucleic acids, were found to be present in the bacterial cell medium, which provided evidence that this was the case. In the meantime, the macrodilution technique revealed that the gambier water extract did not exhibit any inhibitory effect at any concentration up to 25 mg/ml

Abstract

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, certification is done to improve the quality of health services and boost public trust. According to a preliminary study completed in 2014, the accreditation status of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital still uses the 2009 accreditation, thus it is classified as expired because the three-year limit has passed. According to interviews. However, the implementation of the 2012 edition of the accrediting standard has been several months behind schedule. This study seeks to provide an overview of the organization's readiness to earn the 2012 edition of certification on patient safety goals. This study is qualitative in nature. Purposive sampling was used to choose research informants. In this study, the informants included one member of the SKP accrediting working group, two nurses, one pharmacy unit section, and two patients. To improve study validity, sources, techniques, and data are triangulated. The Patient Safety Goals are comprised of six objectives, according to the 2012 accreditation. Consisting of accurate patient identification, improved communication, greater drug safety, certainty of the correct location for the right procedure for the right patient, infection control, and a reduction in the danger of patients falling. The operator rarely noted the place of the procedure with an unique marker, and the hospital did not have records for monitoring and evaluating patients at risk of falling, according to the six guidelines. Meanwhile, for other goals, documentation and implementation have been completed. In order to reduce the risk of patients falling, the Jakarta Hajj Hospital must conduct more intense and convincing socialization about marking the site of procedures, as well as full monitoring and assessment papers

Abstract

Testosterone undecanoate, sometimes known as TU, is a medication that is hydrophobic. A microemulsion is a type of dispersion system that can boost the medications' solubility, especially those that are hydrophobic. In this investigation, the optimization of microemulsion formulations was carried out using a wide variety of surfactants, oils, cosurfactants, and water in their respective proportions. After that, a microemulsion was created with the following components: 30% tween 80 and 10% tween 20 as surfactant components, 24% isopropyl myristate (IPM) and 24% castor oil (CO) as oil phase, 10% n-butanol as a cosurfactant, and 2% water. The oil phase consisted of isopropyl myristate and castor oil. The findings obtained from the TU After being stored at 4o C and 27o C for two months, the examination of the microemulsion revealed that it remained in a stable condition
