Abstract

One of the programs of the Padang city government in reducing air pollution is with Car FreeDay program which is held every Sunday which is carried out in front of Mesjid Raya Sumatera Barang,Jalan Khatib Sulaiman, Padang City. In this research was intended to determine the effect of the CarFree Day program on ambient air quality with the parameters: NO2 and SO2. The methodology of thisresearch is to carry out direct measurements using an impinger to measure NO2 and SO2.Measurements were carried out for 2 weeks (Non Car Free Day and Car Free Day), then air qualityclassification was carried out using the Air Pollution Standard Index approach (Pendekatan IndeksStandar Pencemraran Udara, ISPU). The results showed that on Car Free Day (Sunday) for parametersof NO2 reduced NO2 values in the air from 43.25 μg/Nm3 to 7.5 μg/Nm3 and for parameters of SO2 onCar Free Day (Sunday) reduced SO2 values from 47,916 μg/Nm3 to 25.5 μg/Nm3 and for theclassification of air quality using Air Pollution Standard Index approach (Pendekatan Indeks StandarPencemraran Udara, ISPU) shows the air quality in front of the Masjid Raya Sumatera Barat, JalanKhatib Sulaiman, Padang City is good.

Abstract

The problem of environmental crime is one of the problems that is rarely heard, both in television news and in public discussions. Three times environmental laws were issued in 1982, 1997 and 2009. The author is interested in examining the application of these provisions to Environmental Criminals in Cirebon, namely PT Gamatara Trans Ocean Shipyard, who was sentenced to a fine of 2 billion and from the news reference of the author of the study. It turns out that this is the first environmental criminal case to be brought to trial in the Cirebon area. For the author, the actualization or application of these provisions is a step or history that can have an impact on people who ignore the environment. The author conveys several things in this paper, both the meanings and also the newsrelated to the titles above. In this study the authors used the literature study method, which was obtained from a number of literature including books that could support the content, sites through the internet network related to the title and discussion. At the end, the author takes part of the criminal provisions contained in UUPPLH 2009 which can be applied to PT. Gamatara.

Abstract

Industrial development increases pollution in the environment, while the results of industrial wastedisposal generally produce waste containing heavy metals, one of which is mercury (Hg). Eggshell iswaste originating from households and the food industry which is made from eggs and has the potentialas an adsorbent to absorb mercury ions (Hg2 +). In this study, egg shells were prepared with twotreatments: egg shell adsorbent and with eggshells activated by 30% NaOH after heating in a furnaceat 600 oC for 2 hours then mashed with a particle size of 200 mesh. The adsorbent is then used toabsorb Hg2 + ions from the Hg (NO3) 2 compound. H2O as much as 0.01 ppm with the activatedeggshell and eggshell adsorbent weight of 2 grams each, where the adsorption process is carried outwith 2 contact times, namely 60 minutes and 120 minutes and tested with a Mercury Analyzer. Theadsorption process obtained, the optimum at the contact time of 120 minutes and the eggshell adsorbenttreatment with an average percentage of 93.931%.

Abstract

The increasing rate of urban population growth equates to the increasing pressure placed on theenvironment due to the need for natural resources and land availability. Limited residential land has ledto the construction of slum densely populated settlements and a lack of knowledge about environmentalsanitation which affects the physical condition and environmental health quality of the house. The purposeof this study was to determine the effect of knowledge about environmental sanitation on the health qualityof the home environment in Kebayoran Lama Utara Village. The research method used in this research isa survey method with a quantitative approach. The results showed that there was an effect of knowledgeabout environmental sanitation on the health quality of the home environment, with the results of thecorrelation analysis 0.997 with a determination coefficient of 99.4%, the regression line equation Ŷ = -0.248 + 1.958 X, the significance test of tcount> ttable = 98.493> 1.67 and significance testing of the valueof Fcount> Ftable = 9700.595> 4.00.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) exhaustemissions on Honda Revo EFI system motorcycles using premium, pertalite and pertamax fuels. Thelocation of the study was conducted at PT Unilab Perdana, South Jakarta. Quantitative method withexplanatory format the results of the study showed that: The average test results obtained showed thatthe exhaust emissions released in the use of pertamax fuel (CO was 2.53%, and HC was 749 ppm). Theuse of pertalite fuel (CO is 2.62%, and HC is 837 ppm). The use of premium fuel (CO of 2.77%, andHC of 1233 ppm). Thus, within the permissible threshold of LH Decree No. 05 of 2006, namely for 4.5%CO gas and 2000 ppm HC gas with the test method at idle speed (normal engine rotation position whennot pressed by the gas). Chi square test calculation results show that, X2 count (18.95) > X2 table(5.591), so H0 is rejected. This means that there are differences in the proportions in the premium fuelgroup, pertalite and pertamax to the exhaust emissions of CO and HC. Thus, the proposed researchhypothesis has been answered, namely that there are differences in carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) exhaust emissions on Honda Revo EFI system motorcycles using premium, pertalite andpertamax fuels.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information and determine the analysis and effectiveness of the utilization of non-domestic wastewater as a biogas-based power plant at the PT Mustika Sembuluh POM 1 Sampit plant, Kotawaringin Timur Regency, Central Kalimantan. This research is a quantitative study by collecting data from the field and analyzing data to get conclusions. Based on the resulting quantitative data, both primary data from test results and secondary data from factory performance data, then analyzed to obtain the effectiveness value of related parameters including BOD5, COD, pH, Oil and Fat, Methane (CH4) and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) from palm oil liquid waste PT Mustika Sembuluh POM 1 Sampit. The research location is at PT Mustika Pembuluh POM 1 Sampit, Kotawaringin Timur Regency, Central Kalimantan. This research was conducted from November 2019 to May 2020. The results showed that palm oil mills have the potential to become a source of renewable electricity in the form of biogas from liquid waste (POME). PKS performance of PT Mustika Sembuluh POM 1 Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan is quite good, with the guarantee of raw materials for liquid waste (POME).
