Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the easy way to understand difficult words in reading scientific texts in English. We often find difficult words, which hinder understanding of the contents of English-language reading. In fact, we are often lazy to continue reading, and are very time consuming when searching for the meaning of words in a dictionary. If only one or two words are found it doesn't matter. However, if more than ten difficult words will interfere and hinder understanding of the contents of the reading, and will depend on the dictionary. For that there are several steps we can take to avoid obstacles in understanding the English text as a whole. For that reason, there is no need to worry if finding difficult words in a text, through the context of the sentence can help guess the exact meaning of the word.Key words: Difficultwords, Strategy, and English Text

Abstract

Google classroom is a learning application issued by google in learning. The convenience to access via computers and mobile phones is very beneficial for teachers and students in Madrasahs. The goal achieved in this scientific idea is to describe the use of google classroom as an alternative in learning, and making tasks through google classroom. Use of google classroom can provide access to students in learning online and conventional (blanded learning). There is 59,6% response of the training participants is very fun using google classroom and 56,6% response strongly agree goolge classroom can help task of training participant.Key words: google classroom, madrasah, blanded learning

Abstract

This study aims to look at experimental results in a class by conducting initial and final tests and control classes by learning in Madrasah Aliyah through SQ3R approach (Survey, Question, Read, Recite and Review) as an effort to improve mathematical understanding and connection and learning motivation student. Respondents in this study were 74 students from class XI IPS MA in the city of Bandung. The instruments used include mathematical comprehension ability tests, mathematical connection ability tests and Miotiv questionnaire learning mathematics. From the research, it was found that classes that have mathematics learning use the SQ3R approach, understanding abilities and mathematical connections are better than ordinary classes, even though the two abilities are relatively low. While the motivation to learn mathematics in the experimental class is better than the control class with moderate differences. As for other things, it turns out that there is no association between understanding abilities and mathematical connections.  Key words: Mathematical comprehension ability, mathematical connection, learning motivation, SQ3R approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of instructional media in the teaching and learning process in educational classes in the Functional Training of Junior High School Madrasah Ibtidaiyah class IV in the Ministry of Religion of West Java Province. district / city in West Java Province. The results showed that using appropriate and effective media would improve understanding in receiving the material provided during the training. So the use of power points in the implementation of learning is better understood and well received. The use of materials / slides in learning in the training facilitates the transfer of knowledge and the use of handouts to maximize the learning process so that participants will be more focused on one given material and the use of focus and laptop must be mastered by widyaiswara because it makes it easier to do the learning process so that bridging activities that are felt more time consuming then in broad outline this learning media is more effective and efficient in learning in education.  Key words: Effectiveness, learning, instructional media.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the process of civilizing Islamic values in educational activities in the formal education environment. In theory, formal education institutions are considered effective in cultivating Islamic values for character building for learning citizens. Professional practitioner activities combine constellations of values, goals, sanctions, knowledge and methods that are consistently manifested in the form of certain moral ideas. The operational forms as are expressed in everyday actions with a specified level of system and target. The study was carried out through observation and interviews with purposive participants and also snowballing method. All available information is analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study state that the civilizing of character values in formal education institutions becomes effective because psychologically students will be more obedient, fearful, and reluctant to teachers than parents or the general public. The main key is consistent in the application of rules, evaluation, reward and punishment in applying religious character, moderate, intelligent, independent and nationality which is a benchmark for the successful planting of Islamic values to shape the nation's character.  Key words: Civilization, Education, Islamic Values, Character of the Nation.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the still large amount of training learning that has not optimized the role of participants in the learning process while instilling and familiarizing attitudes. The purpose of this study is to describe the management strategy of training learning based on the Teams Learning Tournament (TLT) learning model. The method used in this study is the Pre-experimental method in the form of One-shot Case Study with the technique of collecting data through observing the results of giving action in learning. The results of the study show that the learning tournament-based training model management strategy is more effective in creating a fun learning process and fostering attitudes, especially discipline, responsibility and cooperation, so that the learning outcomes can be better. Because with the TLT model all training participants are required to show loyalty to their groups while producing quality group products, so that individual contributions are needed by the group. Abstract

This article aims to explain and describe the steps of the SKL KI KD analysis in the hope of helping teachers to harmonize the KD demands on the curriculum with KI achievement. Using one of the KD-3 and KD 4 examples of the 7th grade junior high school science subjects, the results obtained were that KD-3 was quite harmonious based on the thinking process dimensions and the knowledge dimensions of Anderson's Taxonomy. Although the level of KD-3 can be raised to the evaluation stage (C5) with dimensions of metacognitive knowledge, KI demands for junior high school / MTs are sufficient to procedural knowledge. Whereas in KD-4 using Dyer's taxonomy is included in the realm of abstract skills but can be said to be sufficiently aligned for the achievement of KI-4 in the concrete domain.  Key words: SKL KI KD Analysis, Knowledge Taxonomy, Psychomotor Taxonomy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the competence of teachers of Islamic Religious Education at Special School Characteristics (PAI-BP SDLB) through the training of substantive technical education and training for Islamic Primary Education teachers in the regional office of the West Java provincial ministry of religion. Substantive technical training is the implementation of the teaching and learning process in order to improve the competence of PAI-BP SDLB teacher teachers as Civil Servants in the regional office of the West Java provincial Religion ministry. Professional teachers are competent teachers namely competence, pedagogic, personality, social and professional. The Bandung Diversity Education and Training Center has duties and responsibilities in terms of continuing professional development of teachers who are sustainable in the hope that the professionalism of PAI-BP SDLB Teachers will increase. The research method used is a quantitative method, the meaning is a research that is attempted to take or observe problems systematically and accurately regarding the facts and properties of certain objects. also uses survey methods, which is a method used to gather information in the form of opinions from a large number of people on certain topics or issues that aim to find out the general description of the characteristics of the population also trying to collect, describe and analyze data that are basically quantitative. From the results of research that has been done to improve the competency of PAI-BP SDLB Teachers experience improvement especially in understanding the deepening of the material and learning strategies to reach 80%, meaning that there are still 20% of training participants who still need to improve their competence.  Key words: school is extraordinary, competent, professional.

Abstract

In training management pro-social attitudes needed by all employees as the organization good citizens such as: employees sincerely work full-heartedly to develop the organization and are willing to work beyond their own jobs and functions as the representation of virtuous. These behaviors are necessary for the education and training management in order to be qualified and run smoothly and optimally. These behaviors are known as organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, and the purpose of this research was to examine how the employee organizational citizenship behaviors specialy helping behavior took place in the education and training management at Bandung Religious Training Centre. It also tried to provide recommendations so that the employee organizational citizenship behaviors at Bandung Religious Training Centre continuously improved to increase the quality of education and training administration. The research findings that, in the education and training management, the employees have not showed the criteria of helping behavior. It is recommended that to raise the employee helping behaviors, and change the employees’ mindset, develop the positive values of helping behaviors, improve the employee competence through TOC and MOT Training, and change the existing leadership style into horizontal leadership.Key words: OCB, helping behavior, training management.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has not fully brought a new paradigm in learning mathematics, seen by a large number of internet users only limited to the use of social media in every circle. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to describe elearning as a way of learning built by the Learning Management System (LMS), and how this system can play a role in personalizing mathematical concepts. The research method used is descriptive analysis by collecting data, compiling or classifying, analyzing, and interpreting several types of software commonly used in e-learning. The results of the analysis show that mathematical personalization can occur by utilizing the features contained in the topics of LMS and is very useful for building learning objects that are suitable to overcome various didactic obstacles in mathematics learning, encourage more semiotic coordination in presentations, and avoid bad classroom practices during mathematics learning. Personalization through LMS can also produce different didactic abilities by considering the profiles of students.  Key words: personalization, mathematics, e-learning, learning management system.
