Abstract

Low communication skills in children with autism are caused by obstruction of their receptive language skills. To Increase receptive language skill, can be done by the compic method. The goal of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of compic method in increasing receptive language skills in autistic child. This research used single case study with one subject, where the A-B-A model research design applied. Participants in this research is a boy aged 7 years and 5 months and diagnosed with autism. This research shows that the compic method could increase reseptive language in identifying nouns and objects. Factors that support the effectiveness of the intervention are subjects that is relatively still young, support form the teacher who understand the children's condition and needs, the school's system that facilitate the development of of the subjects ability, and the intensity of the intervention. Keywords: autis, receptive language, compic

Abstract

The research aims at determining whether Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is effective to decrease the symptoms of cat phobia (Ailurofobia). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. The One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design of experiment was applied. The Phobia Scale was used. The result show that there was effect of SEFT at cat phobia's symptom. The psysiological symptoms decreased by the change of perception to the cat. Biologically, SEFT has change the prefrontal cortex that accept the suggestion exactly. Abstract

77ms study aims to test whether a Gratitude-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (G-CBT) can reduce the symptoms of adolescent depression. G-CBT is a therapy to reduce depression by increasing gratitude feeling through CBT methods. The subjects are adolescents, aged 13-18 years, female and had depression score of 7-9 standard (high). Scale is used to detect depression in teenagers is the Depression Scale of the Gadjah Mada University's Personality Scale. Design of experiment are Non-randomized study ofPre-Posttest Control Group Design. The method of data analysis using the Mann-Whitney analysis to determine whether there are effects of G-CBT in reducing adolescent depression. Studies showed Z = -3.707and p = 0.000; p <0.05. This means that there are differences in depression rates between the groups receiving therapy or treatment with the group that did not get the therapy. So, the conclusion from this study indicate thatthe G-CBT can reduce levels of depression experienced by adolescents.Keywords: Gratitude-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, depression, adolescent

Abstract

Most drug abusers in rehabilitation house has low self efficacy which is seen on negative self concept, low self recognizing, and low self confidence.This lowseif efficacy may cause relapse among them. This research was aimed at seeing influence of psychological skill training on self efficacy among drug abusers in rehabilitation house. The Hypothesis of this research was there is a different increase of self efficacy between experiment group who got psychological skill training and control group who did not get psychological skill training. Participant of this research is drug abuser in rehabilitation house X in regular class. This research was experimental research with 6 participants in experiment group and 5 participants in control group which was divided randomly. The Design of this research was pre post control group design. Participant's self efficacy was measured by self efficacy scale. Statistics analysis using non parametric test, shows score z--2,470 and p=0,013 where 0,013 < 0, 05. Thus, hypothesis on this research is accepted.Keywords: Psychological skill, self efficacy, drug abusers

Abstract

Unsafe work behavior as one cause of the occupational accidents still have high rates. Self management, one of type behavior based interventions, known as an intervention that is suitable for workers who work in solitary or low supervison working condition. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of self management intervention on reducing unsafe behavior at work. The subjects of this sutdy were 36 male Trans Jogja bus drivers. Subjects were divided into two groups, 19 drivers in the experimental group and 17 drivers in the control group. The experimental group received treatment that contain self management training followed by self monitoring for 2 weeks, whereas the control group didn't receive any treatment. The result of mixed anava indicate that self management intervention doesnt give significant effect to reduce unsafe behavior (F=0,208; p>0,05)Keywords: self-management, unsafe work behavior

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of communication training for supervisors on employees occupational stress level in Antah Department Store Yogyakarta. There are 2 experiment groups, first consists of 4 supervisors who trained about communication and 18 subordinates who filled occupational stress scale pre, post 1 and post 2 training. Control group were 2 groups, first 5 supervisors were not be given training and 18 subordinates only asked to complete occupational stress scale pre, post 1 and post 2 training. By using anova mixed repeated measures, the result indicated that occupational stress level significantly decrease after their supervisors got communication training (F=15,839,p<0,01).Keywords: communication training, communication, occupational stress level
