Abstract

Performing forecasts accurately and have optimal supplies are very urgent demands for most industries today. PT OPQ is a company engaged in the pharmaceutical industry. This industry produces medicines for both OTC (Over Counter), ethical (prescription drugs), and generics. At PT OPQ, the inventory method for chemical reagents that have been carried out is straightforward; each year only adds a certain quantity from the previous year. This method proved to be less effective and efficient because the use of chemical reagents was not certain, which resulted in the chemical reagent stock experiencing advantages and disadvantages as seen from the stock on hand. This research aims to assist companies in determining the amount of chemical reagent usage and controlling chemical reagent supplies optimally. The method used is forecasting with the ARIMA model; after obtaining the forecasting results, calculations are carried out to obtain optimal inventory results, namely the EOQ method. In this study, a differencing process was also carried out so that the data used were stationary. The study results obtained a forecasting model that is close to the actual conditions in the field. This study also produces an ideal safety stock for the company. The results of calculations using the EOQ method are proven to be far more optimal than the method previously applied by the company

Abstract

Some of the problems that often arise during the production process are problems with machine breakdowns, operator negligence, operator disobedience to the rules that have been set and even many operators deliberately ignore the application of SOPs on machines so that the production process will be hampered. In this study will use the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) approach to increase the use of casting machines and labor at PT. Prima Alloy Steel Universal, Tbk. So that it can be seen how much loss in the production process by using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method which will eventually grow some suggestions for solutions to overcome the various problems that cause these losses. The results of the percentage calculation of availability between 24.22% - 95.37%, while the percentage results from the calculation of the value of performance efficiency ranged from 104.85% - 412.90%, and the results of the calculation of the value of the rate of quality were 91.27% - 97.82%. The effectiveness level of the four machines used in the line casting machine with the largest total time losses was the MT17 machine with a value of 1243.75 hours. Meanwhile, the machine with the smallest total time losses was the MT-16 machine with a value of 1205 hours. Meanwhile, the largest losses were rework losses with total time losses of 1441.25 hours and yield / scrap loss being the smallest with total time losses of 74 hours. To increase production effectiveness, operators should be given skill knowledge about signs of damage that may occur, especially in casting machine spare parts and mold strength. In addition, it is very necessary to conduct a production capability test and rearrange it regularly and continuously.

Abstract

Increasing productivity and reducing production costs are major factors in improving performance as a way for the advancement of a company or organization. The kaizen method is a proven method and is practiced in variousfieldsin various countries. The purpose of this paper is to identify and explore the implementation of the kaizen method in industry and analyze the benefits obtained. This paper finds a strategy in the form of new regulations that can be updated according to the need to increase productivity and minimize expenditure. The method used is a literature review of various scientific articles related to the implementation of the kaizen method in various industries that have been widely implemented in various fieldsin many countries. The results obtained from the identification of various articlesshow that the kaizen method is very effective in managing the resources owned by a company or organization with a measurable impact and can be adjusted according to circumstances

Abstract

Every company experiences life cycle stages, where this cycle is identical to the Company's life cycle. There are 5 phases in the company's life cycle, namely the establishment or startup stage, the expansion stage, the maturity stage, and the declining stage. Startup Companies are companies that are in the early stages of operating and developing or have not yet operated. One promising startup sector is a food and beverage company startup. Food and beverage-based startup companies are one of the sectors most targeted by investors even though the global economy is being pressured by the coronavirus outbreak. One of the crucial problems for startup companies is business strategy, this is because startup companies have different characteristics from mature companies such as in decision-making. There are many factors that influence the success of a startup company. Therefore the purpose of this study is to identify the strategies used by food and beverage startup companies and determine the most influential factors in the success of the startup. This research was conducted by structurally interviewing 22 startup companies, then processing the data using AHP (analytical hierarchical process) in determining the level of the most influential success factors. The results show that the most widely used strategy is market penetration of 68% and the level of the factor that has the highest influence on success is the individual factor group of 5,111

Abstract

The Textile and Textile Product (TTP) industry starts from the preparation of fibers to become yarn rolls (Spinning Mills), fabrics (Weaving and Knitting), and Garments (Garments). There is a defect or production process waste in the process, so it needs continuous analysis and improvement to produce high productivity and improve quality by applying the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) method. However, research in the textile industry does not all use LSS. Some companies still use other ways, for example, Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) and Quality Control Seven tools. This literature review aims to collect systematically from several studies, especially in the TTP sector, and to explain in the existing literature and identify the segments that produce the most publications. This research work is obtained from Google Scholar, Elsevier, Science Direct, and other publications in the world. This paper is based on a study of 30 LSS Sigma articles published from 2013 to 2020 in the world's leading journals. Journal collection is based on the textile industry segment and based on the country of origin of the journal publisher and year of publication. This literature review shows that 46% of journals are from the Garment segment, 40% of journals are from Indonesia, and in 2019, most publications
