Abstract

Theological debate about the word “kenosis, the question is what Christ emptied of Himself. Discussions about the Doctrine of Christ or Christology are indeed endlessly discussed and debated, both by heretics and by Christian apologists. In this study, two approaches are used, namely the study of literature and the study of the theological meaning of the phrase "emptied Himself" (εαυτον εκενωσεν) in Philippians 2:7, grammatically in the sentence in the verse, namely, "He emptied himself, and took the form of a servant,” (εαυτον μορφην ), there is the word “labon” (λαβων). The word “labon” (λαβων), is an “instrumental participle”, which means to express the means of action (real or unreal). The conclusion is that the word "kenosis" has the meaning of making an empty "space" in Him to be able to fill it with the nature of a servant and a human being. Thus, it is the nature of a servant and a human being that is seen by Christ in his relationship and interaction with humans and the world.

Abstract

Mengetahui pemahaman pemimpin Gereja Sidang-Sidang Jemaat Allah (GSJA) di kota Tomohon adalah sangat penting sebagai upaya membangun paradigma dan konsep berteologi, terutama teologi pentakosta GSJA, khususnya di kota Tomohon. Di Sulawesi Utara, kota Tomohon adalah pusat teologi dari GSJA yang pentakostal. Dibangun dari pengaruh teologi Barat yang diwariskan oleh misionaris Bethel Indies Mission pada tahun 1938, pemikiran teologi para pemimpin GSJA, khususnya yang dibangun dalam Sekolah Alkitab Minahasa (sekarang STT Parakletos Tomohon) bersifat eksklusif, dimana teologi hanya dipahami sebagai upaya membangun hubungan yang “vertikal” dengan Allah, sehingga dari konsep teologi tersebut GSJA membangun pondasi teologi yang terfokus pada dalam lingkup gereja dan terbangun secara liturgis. Gereja yang terbangun secara eksklusif secara tidak langsung berpengaruh terhadap cara pandang gereja tersebut terhadap “dunia” sekitarnya, yaitu bagaimana gereja memandang kemajemukkan dan perbedaan, serta budaya dalam konteks gereja tersebut hidup. Gereja seharusnya bersifat “inklusif” dan berusaha hidup di dalam konteks perbedaan agama, budaya dan masyarakat, sehingga gereja dapat menjadi “jembatan penghubung” yang menghantarkan Injil kepada manusia dalam konteksnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dimana dalam penelitian kualitatif bukan menekankan pada hasil, tetapi pada proses penelitian tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menekankan pada pendekatan fenomenologis dan teologis, dengan metode wawancara sebagai cara mengumpulkan data yang empiris. Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang dilakukan, penulis menemukan bahwa bebrapa pemimpin gereja hidup dalam pemahaman teologi yang eksklusif dan memandang budaya sebagai “musuh” gereja, dan pemahaman tersebut dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman dan sikap gereja terhadap konteks. Dikarenakan pemahaman pemimpin gereja yang terbangun secara eksklusif dengan memahami teologi pentakosta secara “sempit” tersebut, maka perlu dibangun kerangka berteologi yang pentakostal-kontekstual di kalangan pemimpin GSJA, secara khusus di Tomohon, sehingga terbangun teologi yang inklusif, dimana terjadi keseimbangan konsep pelayanan praktik gereja yang horizontal dan vertikal.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper is a theological analysis for holding a youth worship meeting which is held once every two weeks face to face. So the authors want to conduct research scientifically by studying the "Role of Youth Coaches for the development of the behavior of the GMIM Golgotha Youth congregation For Youth Fosters, Youth Fosters. Youth Coaches have a very strategic role to be able to develop potential in the future growth and development of Youth. However, youth coaches must have very specific requirements or criteria, namely a youth coach before entering the world of youth service is someone who already has a new life, meaning that a youth coach has had a new life first. So that the life of a youth coach will become a role model or role model / public figure for their students. With the way of life that is shown in the daily life of youth guidance, such as diligently reading the Bible, diligently praying and diligently participating in fellowship, it will become a living sermon for the lives of teenagers, because strong preaching today is no longer in the form of advice / words but is the behavior / behavior displayed by the youth coach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where the data obtained is in the form of explanations of concepts or text and not numbers. The results of the study concluded that the role of youth coaches for the development of adolescent behavior is able to develop behavioral potential to shape the character of adolescents by building all abilities and abilities of youth coaches by building partnerships related to all aspects of church service in a holistic manner."

Abstract

Nilai – nilai simbolik sistem kepercayaan dan budaya lokal suku Minahasa terhadap Opo Empung dengan konsep kepercayaan Abraham menurut Kejadian 12 : 6 -7 relevansinya suatu teologi kontekstual. Kepercayaan dalam konteks religi merupakan salah satu usaha manusia untuk mendekatkan diri pada kekuatan supranatural. Pandangan hidup atau asumsi – asumsi dasar dan keyakinan-keyakinan yang diakui bersama oleh suatu kelompok masyarakat dalam suatu daerah yang mencakup cara berfikir, berperilaku, bersikap (sikap hidup dan cara hidup), nilai-nilai yang tercermin baik dalam wujud fisik maupun abstrak merupakan budaya lokal yang telah melebur dalam kepercayaan yang dianut. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis. Konstruktifisme mempelajari beraneka realita yang disusun oleh manusia yang pada akhirnya memberikan dampak kepada hidup manusia itu sendiri dan memberi arti pada hubungannya dengan orang lain dan lingkungannya. Penulis sangat yakin dengan menggunakan metode penelitian paradigma konstruktivis dan membedah sejumlah pustaka maka akan membentuk sebuah cara pandang baru. Sistem kepercayaan dan budaya orang Minahasa terhadap Opo Empung yang diyakini sebagai Penguasa tertinggi dengan konsep  penyembahan Abraham merupakan eksistensi kepercayaan dan spiritualitas sebagai nilai – nilai simbolik untuk membangun komunikasi secara kontekstual dengan Allah yang sebenarnya. Sebab itu penulis berkesimpulan bahwa eksistensi kepercayaan dan spritualitas merupakan pintu masuk untuk mengalihkan paradigma manusia tentang siapakah Allah yang harus disembah sesuai konsep Yohanes 4 : 20 – 24 yakni menyembah Bapa dalam roh dan kebenaran

Abstract

Since 2019 or more or less the last 2 years the world and specifically in Indonesia have experienced a major outbreak, namely the COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus outbreak. It is undeniable that this epidemic has greatly affected human life in all aspects and existing realities. Not only that, the great plague that has hitherto hit has also changed the face of the world and especially the church. The church became limited in its activities and even this disaster made people who felt the impact to question God in his justice. This study aims to be able to develop a theology that can be applied by the church in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic. This research was designed using a qualitative approach, where data sources were obtained through library documents. In this study, the effort of disaster theology formulates two things that can serve as guidelines for the church in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, namely: 1) church free day (the re-interpreting the meaning of worship and, 2) Understanding God's theodicy in human life

Abstract

The Question About Existence of God from atheism, often attack the Christianity. And many of Christian do not know how to answering that. Because many Christian do not know about atheism and do not know about the danger of the atheism. The aims of this research is to know, how the Christian should answering the question about the existence of God and how the Christian responsible  their Faith to the atheism. The Method of this research is a literature analysis,  and the result of this research  can be concluded that the atheism is the result of a rational way of thinking but that rationality is not illuminated by the love of Christ and this is just like the way of every Christian who state that they are Christian or believe in God but does not show the way of life that is Obey and according with God's will.

Abstract

Abstract: In the Christian life the Bible teaches followers of Christ, as the Apostle Paul told the Romans, that “do not be conformed to the world” (Romans 12:2). The commandment is a statement to state that the true identity of God's people is not the same or the same as the world, and it is also an anticipation in facing a world that will be able to affect Christian life at that time, even in this digital era. This needs to be researched for the purpose that believers can anticipate and prevent the negative impact on the Christian faith by understanding the implications of mind renewal based on Romans 12:2. This study used qualitative research methods. In this research, the researcher collects as much theory and information as possible from the literature regarding the research topic. Then the results of this study will be described descriptively and systematically. This study found that in the midst of rapid technological advances and reaching all aspects and levels of society, including Christians, mental renewal will enable a person to be able to know the limits of morality and faith in the use of digital technology, and enable a person to avoid crime/the sins of the world, and will not be like this world, and make good use of digital technology in accordance with God's will and purposes.Abstrak: Di dalam kehidupan kekristenan Alkitab mengajarkan kepada para pengikut Kristus, sebagaimana yang disampaikan oleh Rasul Paulus kepada jemaat di Roma, bahwa “janganlah menjadi serupa dengan dunia” (Roma 12:2). Perintah tersebut merupakan sebuah pernyataan untuk menyatakan identitas umat Tuhan yang sebenarnya adalah tidak serupa atau sama dengan dunia, dan hal itu juga merupakan sebagai antisipasi di dalam menghadapi dunia yang akan dapat memengaruhi kehidupan kekristenan pada zaman tersebut, bahkan di era digital ini. Hal ini perlu diteliti untuk tujuan agar orang-orang percaya dapat mengantisipasi dan mencegah dampak buruk terhadap iman kristen dengan cara memahami implikasi pembaharuan budi berdasarkan Roma 12:2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Di dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengumpulkan sebanyak-banyaknya teori dan informasi dari berbagai literatur yang menyangkut dengan topik penelitian ini. Kemudian hasil penelitian ini akan diuraikan secara deskriptif dan sistematis. Penelitian ini mennemukan bahwa ditengah kemajuan teknologi yang pesat dan merambah ke seluruh aspek dan lapisan masyarakat, termasuk orang-orang Kristen, maka pembaharuan budi akan memampukan seseorang untuk dapat mengetahui batas moralitas dan iman dalam penggunaan teknologi digital, dan memampukan seseorang untuk dapat terhindar dari kejahatan/dosa dunia, dan tidak akan menjadi serupa dengan dunia ini, serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital dengan baik sesuai dengan kehendak dan tujuan Allah.

Abstract

Memasuki era revolusi industri 5.0 tentunya berdampak dalam dunia pendidikan. Era revolusi industri 5.0 telah mengubah cara berpikir tentang pendidikan. Perubahan yang dibuat bukan hanya cara mengajar, namun yang terpenting adalah perubahan dalam perspektif konsep pendidikan itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan kurikulum untuk saat ini dan masa depan harus melengkapi kemampuan siswa dalam dimensi pedagogik, keterampilan hidup, kemampuan untuk hidup bersama (kolaborasi) dan berpikir kritis dan kreatif.Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi, maka Filsafat pendidikan yang paling tepat untuk menyikapi perkembengan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan adalah Filsafat Progresivisme.Filsafat Progresivisme merupakan aliran filsafat pendidikan modern yang menghendaki adanya perubahan dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan menjadi lebih maju. Aliran progresivisme ini mengutamakan penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah yang berpusat pada anak dan menjadikan para pendidik hanya sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing, dan pengarah bagi peserta didik. Adapun tujuan dari aliran progresivisme dalam pendidikan ialah ingin merubah praktik pendidikan yang selama ini terkesan otiriter menjadi demokratis dan lebih menghargai potensi dan kemampuan anak, serta mendorong untuk dilaksanakannya pembelajaran yang lebih banyak melibatkan peserta didik. Dengan menerapkan aliran progresivisme dalam pendidikan, harapannya dapat membahwa perubahan dan kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia menjadi lebih berkualitas, sehingga mampu mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional

Abstract

Christian Education always gives an important role in educating and shaping the students who receive the education. The presentation of Christian education materials is expected to be well prepared  in teaching. Christian Education Materials must be right on target and able to answer the needs of students. Christian Education materials must be presented by designing it first,  whether it still can be taught or it is need to be transformed. This research is referred to knowing the role of Christian education in developing the material in a transformational way. Not only the competence of the educators that is needed in delivering the material, but also to understand correctly what the Bible wants to teach through Christian education materials. The Factors that related to the need of transformational Christian education are seen from the low learning achievement of the students, behavior that deviates from moral standards and the inability to apply Christian values through  life and behavior of the students. This research is needed to encourage educational institutions and church institutions  to encourage every educator to not only prepare Christian education materials well, but also to transform Christian education materials according to the target, answer the need and can also be accepted at all levels. This research is needed to encourage Christian education to be able to answer problems in the world of Christian education.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to find out the Rapture of believers to the clouds, which is the same as the Apostle Paul in I Thessalonians 4: 13-18. The result is (1) Believers do not need to mourn the death of believers (2) Gathering of Believers With God (3) Simultaneous Appointment of Believers (4) Welcoming God in Space (5) Believers' Life Forever with God in heaven. So it was concluded that oaring believers need not fear when they die (die), because when we believe in the Lord Jesus as Lord and Savior in our lives, we will surely experience the lifting of clouds to meet God in the clouds. This is a statement from the apostle Paul as an Apostle of grace, so that the doctrine of the adoption of believers in the clouds must have taken place.
