Abstract

One of the most important agenda of in education todai is to establish such a link-and-match curriculum among levels or educational institution and among educational institution, workfield, and stakeholders. To realize such a desired curriculum among levels or educational institution, the visions, missions, curriculum and characteriustics of the instituions should be comprehensively understood. The process of  the curriculum development may follow the following steps: (1) identifying factors or determinats that contribute to the curriculum development and conducting need analysis as well, (2) identifying the desired competency and profile of the graduates, (3) deciding knowledge, affection, and skills which are neede to build such competency, (4) designing the structure of the curriculum and establishing link and match, and (5) developing syllabus. In developing curriculum, especially in achieveing a link-and-match curriculum, the following principles should be implemented: relevance, continuity and integration.Kata Kunci: pengembangan kurikulum, kurikulum madrasah

Abstract

Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) is one of approach that able to increase learning teaching quality. This approach can be applied to all academic material not only social  but also science. The  characteristic of this approach is the student directly gets the experience in learning process, so that learning is meaningfull. Abstract

Family environment is the first and the main medium for socialization. Maintaining children’s welfare is the basic foundation to achieve daily effective life. Such welfare can be achieved through qualified education where religious educative interaction among the family members. The techniques can be done by means of approaches, such as parents should plan what to say, not in a hurry, be open and be honest to themselves and the children as well. Among the approaches are: 1) open dialog with cildren, 2) critical and creative thinking, and 3) value clarification. Parents, therefore, need to: 1) apply moderate mode of education to their children, 2) create intimate atmosphere among parents and children, 3) familiarizing the children with the feeling of guilty, and 4) provide a wide range of opportunity to interact and socialize with their neighborhood in positive sense.Kata Kunci: pendidikan, lingkungan keluarga, sosialisasi, interaksi edukatif, sosio-edukasi religius

Abstract

The teaching of Islamic education school/madrasah still faces some problems up to present. Among the problems are: Learning orientation still emphasizes cognitive aspect, cooperation between teachers of Islamic education subject and other teachers has not been well developed, methods of learning tends to be monotonous, and the like. As a result, the goals of Islamic education subject which should focus more on affective aspects seems to be ignored. Consequently, many students know much about Islamic education subject but they know very little about the implementation in real life. In order that the affective goal of Islamic education subject can be realized, various strategies are urgently reeded. Abstract

Active learning refers to learning process that encourages students to be more active in maximizing their mind, finding the key ideas of the teaching materials, solving problems and applying what have been learned into existing problems in real life. In other words, the learning activities will be more dominated by students. The aim of this approach is to increase students’ involvement and activities in learning process. Abstract

This research was aimed at figuring out whether there was influence of learning mathematics using realistic approach upon students’ achievement on mathematics, especially upon width, and whether there was influence of students’ attitudes upon the learning of mathematics.The data of the research were analyzed by employing descriptive statistic analysis. The finding showed that students responded positively toward realistic mathematic learning and realistic mathematic learning was effective in activating  students. It was concluded that students who followed realistic mathematic learning showed better learning achievement than those of conventional one upon the topic of width. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Matematika, Realistik, Luas

Abstract

Studying science and technology should not lead Moslems to atheism. Conversely, the more Moslems study science and technology, they more they realize the existence of “the All Controller” of the universe. In fact, Islam encourages its believers to seek for both science and technology based knowledge (aqliyah) and faith based ones (naqliyah). The improvement on faith (imtaq) can well realized through the mastery on science and technology.  These two fields are not standing alone or even against one another. In fact, they should in a good integration. Such integration can be implemented through a subject called Ilmu Alamiah Dasar (Basic Science). Abstract

TPA/TPSA/MDA are informal Islamic educational institutions. These institutions are expected to give hopes for Moslems for quality improvement of their children. However, such institutions are not yet professionally managed. Fund constrains, less professional management, less systematic curriculums and less qualified teachers are the major common problems faced by the institutions. Consequently, the quality of learning process cannot be well assured. As one of the most influential components of learning, the teachers are not well selected and prepared. Most teachers are volunteers. They are not well prepared, especially in the area of child developmental psychology. Abstract

Among potentials that children have as they were born, religious potential is one that needs to be developed in line with other potentials by means of education. Pre-school aged children refer to those who are between 0 and 6 years old. They are in their ultimate growing and developing period in intelligence, emotion, social, and language. Specifically, characteristics of religious awareness among children is reflected in the form of unreflective, egocentrical, antropomorphical, vebal, ritual and imitative. Introducing and familiarizing religious among children can be done by making use of their initial growth and developing through good model, stories, field trip to behold the great and glory of Allah, to get used to worship, good moral, help each other, and so on. Abstract

This paper aims at portraying the educational process in surau in the past and explaining basic differences the process at present time. This study tries to reveal the urgency of reviving the main role of surau as the center of knowledge development and shifting the present traditional paradigm of surau from the place for worshiping, reciting Holy Quran, and Islamic teaching toward the center for data and information which in turn the center for knowledge development. Historically, the role of surau in the past was successful to produce qualified spiritual role figures. In contrast, surau, as the asset of nagari at present time, seemingly does not interest young generation. This article therefore tries to present some innovative ideas in reviving and developing educational system in surau through sociopsychological approach.  Kata kunci: analisis, pendidikan surau, psikologi sosial
