Abstract

The process of development of science and technology in this era is growing rapidly. This is in line with the times, we are faced with a world problem, namely the COVID-19 pandemic which requires us to comply with health protocols and avoid crowds to reduce the process of spreading the covid-19 virus. The effect of implementing these regulations resulted in the teaching and learning process that should have been carried out face to face to become network-based learning. The use of E-learning media is expected to overcome learning limitations due to the covid-19 pandemic. So, when conducting research it was found that learning with E-learning media had not been able to provide satisfactory results on student learning outcomes, where student learning outcomes did not reach the target KKM value = 75. Many factors influenced this including not all students who have smartphones and low network signal quality.

Abstract

This article explores a discourse on the light and dark side of social media, derived from a variety of studies. It also provides a reflection on the subject. The article uses literature review as a research method to make sense of the collected data. In short, social media is neither beneficial nor harmful; it is not neutral. It is just a support to all that we want to convey. Thus, the light and dark side of social networks can be traced back to how a particular individual uses the platform. It simply becomes beneficial or annoying depending on the user himself. Factors such as, but not limited to, intention, prudence, use and self-control contribute to outcomes, whether positive or negative in nature

Abstract

This research paper examines the challenge and potential drawbacks associated with the implementation of uniform civil code in India.  The concept of uniform civil code aims to establish common laws for all citizens, irrespective of their religious and traditional affiliations. However, given the diverse religious and cultural landscape of India the imposition of such a code raises concerns about religious autonomy and cultural preservation. The paper delves into the various conflicts that may arise from implementing a uniform civil code including opposition from religious groups, resistance to change and debates over gender justice. It also explorers the legal and implementation challenges involved emphasizing the need for a diplomatic and continuous approach that respects the sensitivities of different communities. Further more, this paper draws lessons from the experience of the countries that have implemented uniform civil code, highlighting the importance of social acceptance, sensitisation and preserving religious and cultural diversity. It suggests that alternative approaches such as reforming and harmonizing existing personal laws. Selectively implementing reforms, promoting community mediation, embracing legal pluralism or maintaining existing personal laws could address legal and societal issues while respecting India’s diversity. In conclusion the research paper emphasizes the significance of considering these challenges and alternatives in discussions surrounding the implementation of a uniform civil code in India.

Abstract

E-learning is now used on a global scale. It works together. One can learn whenever they want, as often as they want, and on their own schedule with e-learning. Other time-saving features include not having to commute to and from the classroom, being able to select only the portions of the course that interest them, and having uninterrupted time. Because of the rapid developments in technology and learning systems, the majority now accepts it. This revolution was sparked by the invention of computers, and as time goes on and we become dependent on smartphones, tablets, etc., these gadgets now play a significant role in classroom instruction. Over time, electronic educational resources like optical discs and flash drives are replacing books. It is possible to share knowledge using the Internet, which is accessible 24/7 from anywhere. This is how online learning develops. Online learning, often known as e-learning, may be traced back to the 1990s, when the trend first began to take off. The development of personal computers accelerated during this decade. Online skill learning was made simpler and more accessible through e-learning. E-learning can take many different forms, including online training programs, blended learning, mobile learning, podcasts, video training, microlearning, and webinars. E-learning platforms are being introduced one after another. Coursera, Skillshare, Udemy, Codecademy, Edx, Pluralsight, Future Learn, and Moodle are a few of the top online learning tools. We also have online course platforms like LearnWorlds, Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, and Podia in addition to online learning platforms.

Abstract

The role of prosecutors in the law enforcement system for corruption is not enough just to impose prison sanctions but also to make efforts to recover state losses caused. The role of the prosecutor is to spearhead efforts to recover or recover state financial losses. The case of the corruption case of PD BPR Salatiga with the Supreme Court Cassation Decision Number: 5969 K / Pid.Sus / 2022 dated November 9, 2022 on behalf of the convicted Sunarti, the Prosecutor has confiscated assets against the property of the convicted Sunarti so that later it can reduce the nominal replacement money imposed on the convicted of corruption. But the problem in the case of PD BPR Salatiga corruption is that the money that has been corrupted by the convict who in fact is a former employee of PD BPR Salatiga is the money of PD BPR Salatiga customers so that whether the replacement money that has been paid or taken from assets that have been confiscated must be confiscated to the state or returned to PD BPR Salatiga or handed over to the aggrieved customer. The State is a representative of a society, when the community becomes a victim and is harmed, this is where the State must contribute to solving problems fairly and wisely.

Abstract

Since the last few years, good governance discourse has colonized public discourse on reform and democratization in Indonesia. This article aims to deconstruct the good governance discourse itself, what is actually wrong or perhaps even what is often said about good governance. This article attempts to show the inclusion of neo-liberal ideas in the imagination of political, economic and social changes that took place in the final years of Suharto's leadership in the early 1990s. As will be shown in this article, this movement labeled governance is actually increasingly moving away from the true spirit of governance. In short, the good governance movement in Indonesia actually deviated from the spirit of governance which prioritizes accommodation, cooperation and synergy in equality between actors. This brings about a process of marginalizatio of economic, social, cultural and political policies that are in line with neo-liberal values.

Abstract

Cassava is being one of the essential crop cultivated in Tamil Nadu, this study was attempted to estimate the impact assessment and to examine the efficiency of different marketing channels. Tamil Nadu formed the universe of the study. Salem district was purposively selected since area wise it stood first in tapioca cultivation among different districts of Tamil Nadu. Multi-stage random sampling pertains to the selection of the blocks followed by villages. Thalivasal and Macheri block was selected in Salem district. Three villages from Thalivasal block namely Kamakapalayam, Sitheri and Thiyaganur; Three villages from Macheri block namely Vellar, Pukkampatti and Olaipatti was selected purposively. From each village 15 cassava growers. This will constitute 90 cassava growers were selected randomly.  Apart from this, primary data was collected from 10 sago industries, 20 sago wholesaler, 20 tuber wholesaler, 20 value addition processor and 30 retailers. The reference year for the study was the agriculture year 2021-22. The result revealed that cultivation of Cassava YTP 2 is a profitable venture. But as far as marketing is considered, the bulkiness and perishability of Cassava YTP 2 limits the bargaining power of farmers. Market intermediaries assume a dominating role ultimately reducing the farmer’s share on consumer rupee. The study suggests that the farmers may be encouraged to form region based Tapioca Farmers Association or Co-operative marketing Society through which marketing of Cassava YTP 2 may be routed through, so as to establish a collective bargaining mechanism. This system could also restrict the role of unnecessary market intermediaries.
