Abstract

One method for calculating premiums based on the policyholder's risk characteristics is to employ the theory of credibility, particularly the semiparametric Bühlmann model. The aim of this research is to estimate the parameters of the Bühlmann credibility model using a semiparametric approach for claim frequencies that follow a Poisson distribution. Additionally, this study compares the semiparametric model, the parametric model, and the nonparametric model for the Bühlmann model. The assumptions made in this study concern claim frequencies following a Poisson distribution. The research results reveal that the semiparametric Bühlmann credibility premium for a Poisson distribution is 0.117992. Furthermore, the comparison between parametric and semiparametric approaches shows that premiums estimated using the semiparametric approach are lower than those estimated using the parametric approach. The difference is approximately 0.0085% for the Negative Binomial distribution and 0.00085% for the two Poisson distributions. However, there is no significant difference in premium values between the semiparametric and nonparametric approaches.

Abstract

In a production process, it is necessary to carry out a production planning so that the company gets the maximum profit at the minimum cost. Each place of production has several goals to be achieved, these goals do not always have the same level of importance. There are several goals that have varying degrees of importance. This problem can be solved by using the preemptive goal and branch and bond method. The results of the study show that, to achieve all the desired goals/objectives the Istiqomah tofu factory has to produce 638 packs of white tofu, 360 packs of yellow tofu and 360 packs of Chinese tofu so that the factory's profit could increase by 13.43% or Rp237.000,00 per day.

Abstract

In order to practice critical thinking skills, it is necessary to get used to practicing questions such as questions based on jumping tasks. The jumping task question is a question with a level of difficulty above the curriculum. In solving math problems based on jumping tasks, students often face obstacles. This study aims to describe the profile of students' critical thinking towards solving mathematical problems based on jumping tasks on circle material. The research was conducted at MTsN 2 Blitar with 2 students each having adversity quotient types of climber, camper, and quitter. The data collection technique used was an adversity response profile questionnaire, a jumping task-based math problem solving test and interviews. The research results obtained showed that at the stage of understanding the problem both climber, camper and quitter subjects were able to show interpretation after reading the questions. However, the quitter subject is less precise in interpreting important information from the problem. In the problem-solving planning stage, the plan presented by the climber subject was more appropriate than the plan presented by the camper subject, while the quitter subject was unable to develop a settlement plan and the work process stopped at this stage.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an important indicator of the success of efforts to improve the quality of human life. As a measure of quality of life, HDI is based on three basic aspects including aspects of health, education and a decent standard of living. There are several factors that can affect poverty, such as Zakat, Infaq and Sadaqah (ZIS), and the Family Hope Program (PKH). This study aims to determine the effect of the amount of ZIS funds and the number of recipients of PKH on poverty and HDI in Aceh in 2015-2020. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data analysis method in this study uses path analysis and Sobel test. The results showed that the amount of ZIS funds had a negative and insignificant effect on poverty in Aceh. The number of PKH recipients has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty in Aceh. The amount of ZIS funds has a positive and significant effect on HDI. The number of PKH recipients has a negative and insignificant effect on HDI in Aceh. Poverty has a negative and significant effect on HDI in Aceh. Poverty is able to mediate the effect of the amount of ZIS funds on HDI in Aceh. Poverty is unable to mediate the effect of the number of PKH recipients on the HDI in Aceh.

Abstract

The Duffing Oscillator equation is a second-order nonlinear differential equation that describes an oscillator with a cubic nonlinearity. In this paper, the Duffing equation involves damping factors, restoring forces, periodic force and its frequency, and nonlinearity constants. One of the perturbation techniques that can be used to determine the approximate solution of the Duffing oscillator equation is the method of Multiple Scales. Due to the existence of a sinusoidal periodic force in the equation, the Multiple Scales method produces a sinusoidal approximation as its solution. The solutions are also in a good agreement with the numerical results for small nonlinearity constants. The smaller the nonlinearity constant, the smaller the error obtained with the numerical results in comparison. The approximate solution also tends to be sinusoidal for small nonlinearity constants. Finally, the approximate solution obtained is able to predict the existence of a limit cycle in the Duffing Oscillator equation around the origin due to the existence of its particular solutions.

Abstract

Population growth will increase the need for clean water. One of the clean water providers in the city of Banda Aceh is Local Water Supply Utility (PDAM) Tirta Daroy. To anticipate the surge in demand for clean water, PDAM needs to know the need for clean water in the future. One of the steps that can be taken is to do forecasting with the double exponential smoothing and triple exponential smoothing method. The smallest error value can be found using the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) formula. Based on research, the double exponential smoothing method provides the most accurate forecast data when the parameter value 0.6 with an error of 3.5%. While the triple exponential smoothing method, the most accurate forecast data is obtained when the alpha value is 0.4 with an error of 3.55%.

Abstract

This article is a quantitative study that seeks to ascertain the impact of the guided inquiry learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in the context of limiting algebraic functions. The study was conducted at MAN 3 Blitar with research subjects from two level IX classes. Data derived from observations, documentation, and post-test questions. SPSS 24.0 was used to calculate the data, which was then compared to determine the correlation between the two samples. Based on expert validation results, the interactive multimedia developed is feasible with an average sigma percentage of 5%. Following research and observation, it is possible to conclude that the guided inquiry learning model has an effect on students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The guided inquiry learning model has a 62% influence on students' mathematical creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The unit group of rings Z_n denoted by U_n is widely used in pure mathematics and applied mathematics. It makes the mathematics calculation in U_n more complicated as n gets bigger. However, when U_n is cyclic, the calculation is no longer matter. In previous research, it was shown that U_n is cyclic if and only if n = 2;4; p^k;2p^k for any odd prim p and any positive integer k. This statement is known as Gauss’ Theorem for primitive root. This paper aims to reprove The Gauss’ Theorem using various tools like divisibility in Z, group and ring, polynomials over integral domain and fields. It is stated by showing that U_ab is not cyclic where a,b 2, (a,b) = 1. Thus, the necessity for U_n to be cyclic, n must be of the form 2k; pk or 2pk. Furthermore, we find U_(2^k ) is cyclic if only if k ∈ {1,2}. And then, proved that U_p is cyclic and using induction on k, we find that U_(p^k ) is cyclic. Finally, it is also found that U_(2p^k ) is cyclic so that Gauss’ Theorem is proven.
