Abstract

This study was conducted in March 2023 in the coastal waters of the eastern part of the island of Rupat, Riau Province. The method used in this study used the purposive sampling method at 3 station points. Water samples were used to analyze nitrate and phosphate analyzed using Ultraviolet Spectrophotometry, and analysis of water organic matter using the titrimetric method. Diatom sampling using plankton net measuring 25 µm. The results of the study found 14 species from 3 classes of diatoms namely Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, and Conjugatophyceae. Diatom abundance ranged from 472.22 - 993.05 cells/L. The regression equation for nitrate on diatoms is Y= 929.151-3194.045x. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.080 indicates that the effect of nitrate on diatom abundance has a weak close relationship. The effect of phosphate on diatom abundance has a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.105 and the effect of phosphate has weak proximity. The influence of water organic matter has a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.033 with a very weak effect. The analysis shows that the concentration of nitrate (NO3) is included in the oligotrophic fertility level, namely the low fertility rate

Abstract

The waters of the Bengkalis Strait are geographically very strategic, directly connected to the waters of the Malacca Strait and a strategic water transportation route. One of the complex phenomena that appears in the waters of the Bengkalis Strait is the phenomenon of current movement. This survey was conducted from June to August 2022. The survey location was in the Bengkalis Strait, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The research aims to determine current patterns and sea level height during the highest tides and lowest low tides each month during the east season in the waters of the Bengkalis Strait. The method used is a Survey and a quantitative descriptive method. All data is processed using MIKE 21 software. First, Google Earth was used to create bathymetry data, and then the boundaries of the survey area were determined using MIKE 21. After obtaining the bathymetry, we continued with the flow model using MIKE 21 and then displayed the results. Obtained results: the highest tide occurred on 13/06/2022 at 13:00 WIB with an average current discharge of 0.14-0.16 m/s, and the lowest wave occurred on 13/06/2022 at 20.00 WIB with an average flow rate of 0.60-0.75 m/s

Abstract

The services of the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port, as the only tuna Fishery port in West Sumatra, support the availability of facilities required by each tuna industry stakeholder. The purpose of this study is to determine the services from the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port that fisheries stakeholders, especially tuna, are currently experiencing: and to determine the level of satisfaction of tuna entrepreneurs with the performance of the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port. The data analysis used is weighting or scoring, and then IPA and CSI analysis is carried out. The results showed that the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port played a good role in providing production activity, infrastructure and public services, and stakeholder’s tuna feel they are quite satisfied with the performance of the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port in supporting the tuna industry and several service attributes of the Bungus Ocean Fisheries port still need to be improved.

Abstract

This research aims to determine predictions of yellowfin tuna catch production and conditions of catch production in 2021-2025 and the factors influencing yellowfin tuna catches. This research was conducted in September 2021 at the Bungus Marine Fisheries Harbor. The data taken is primary and secondary. The analysis used is Catch Production Projection Analysis and quadratic (Polynomial) Regression Analysis. The research results show that in catch projections, there is data on fish catch production for 2021-2025, where predictions for the next five years will fluctuate, or yellowfin tuna production will increase yearly. In the results of quadratic (polynomial) regression research, the factors that most influence the output of yellowfin tuna catches using quadratic regression are the number of fishing gear with a coefficient of determination or R2 value of 0.9934 and the number of fishermen with a coefficient of determination or R2 value of 0. 9934. The coefficient of determination or R2 value is 0.9599

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the productivity value of turtle catching in Bungur Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti District, Riau Province. The production of kurau nets for five years shows that fourfinger threadfin fishing effort and production fluctuate yearly. In the period from 2017-2021, 2018 was the year with the most production of kurau nets, with a total catch of kurau nets totaling 7205 kg/year, and the highest catch occurred in March, namely 867.7 kg while the lowest catch occurred in July, namely 166.6 kg. Based on the results of the calculation of the fishing season index, it is known that the fish catch is abundant from January to March. In these months, fishing is excellent, and the peak season is in February. From April to September, the fish catch is minimal, and this month is the wrong time to catch fish.
