Abstract

Radicalism in the name of religion has spread and took root in various universities in Indonesia through, among others, the student activity unit (UKM). This condition needs serious attention from campus officials in order to prevent the students from radical ideology. This is because the main value of religious moderation promoted by Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs includes commitment to nationality, harmony, anti-violence and wisdom towards local culture, which aims to prevent radicalism from being implemented optimally, so that it can endanger student morality. This article aims to portrait the transformation process of UKM da'wah named Al-Fattah, which has been indicated to have radical ideology, into a moderate da'wah unit through religious moderation value education. This participatory action research emphasizes joint learning, participation, and organizational transformation. Through in-depth analysis, the results show that after changing the name from Lembaga Dakwah Kampus Al-Fattah to Korps Dakwah Islam Nusantara, this da'wah unit began to spread moderate Islamic values, or what commonly refer to rahmatan lil alamin. Research contributions include strengthening government programs in order to participate in realizing the religious moderation program launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract

The low character of environmental care has caused various losses to the environment. On the other hand, education and religion have a big role in shaping human character. So, this study aims to develop a feasible biology module that is integrated with Islamic values and effective to improve the environmental care character. The stages of development carried out consisted of eight stages were adapted from the Borg and Gall model. The results showed that the module developed is feasible. Feasibility is proven by the results of the assessment conducted by the validator who obtained a score of 4.3 in the excellent category. The modules have also proven to be effective in improving environmental care character. In a qualitative descriptive analysis, the effectiveness is proved by obtaining the percentage of gain in the treatment class by 58% with the category quite effective and by 33% in the control class with the ineffective category. In a quantitative descriptive analysis, the effectiveness is proved by t-test result with p-value (sig) 0.000 less than 0.05 (Sig < 0.05). It means, there is a significant difference between the gain of environmental care character for the treatment and the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the substantive maturity of Aishah's marriage, where based on the hadist of the Prophet, Aishah married the Prophet at the age of 6 years and started married at the age of 9 years. The information contained in the hadith is closely related to the issue of child marriage in the mainstream discourse of protecting children's rights, particularly the rules for limiting the age of marriage that have been implemented so far. The method used in analyzing the above problems is descriptive with an approach to the history of Islamic law. This study notes that 'Aishah marriage has fulfilled the substantive maturity element, both physically which is marked by reproductive readiness and non- physical with indicators of intellectual maturity. Besides that, the age of marriage 'Aishah is done by determining the element of purpose (al-ḥadf) in the form of maturity quality and the component of means (al-wasīlah) in the form of age. Thus, this element has significance for religious legality guarantees related to the rules for the age limit of marriage that apply in Muslim countries.

Abstract

Indonesia is predominantly Muslim, however, this does not necessarily mean that the number of sharia stock investors in Indonesia is also large. Referring to SOTS data’s, the number of sharia stocks investors is still very small compared to the number of stock investors as a whole. Therefore, research is needed to understand the comparison of risks, returns, and performance measurement of sharia and non-sharia stocks. Using purposive sampling, a sample of 19 stocks were obtained consisting of 14 sharia stocks and 5 non-sharia stocks from 2014 to 2018. This research is an explanatory comparative method and is a quantitative type using a different test. The results show that there is a difference in risk between sharia and non-sharia stocks. However, there is no difference in yields between Sharia and non-Sharia stocks. Performance measurement based on Risk-Adjusted Performance using the Sharpe ratio show that non-Sharia stocks are more dominant in performance than Sharia stocks. Total risk (SD) of sharia stocks (7.945062) is higher and is somewhat bigger than the average non-sharia stock risk (6,186363) and the real returns between sharia and non-sharia stocks, although descriptively statistical the real returns of sharia stocks (0.066179%) is lower than the non-sharia stocks (1.175495%).

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the paradigm of scientific integration between Islam and science. Integration, which has been based on scientific ideas, should have started with integration based on divine ideas. Therefore, the main focus of this paper is how the basic framework of thinking in the integration of Islam and science is based on the idea of divinity, its application in the world of education and the challenges that must be faced with the integration of Islam and science based on the idea of divinity. To answer these problems, the article was designed using the literature review method. Finally, this article sees that the basic idea of integrating science and science must be based on God. This idea is a concrete theoretical solution to immediately realize the integration of science between Islam and science which has long been echoed but is still difficult to implement. Integration that emphasizes the embodiment of divinity in terms of the praxis of knowledge and science, does not bring science into Islamic science. Concretely, in the world of education, this embodiment can be seen from the goals set by an institution in organizing it.

Abstract

This study examines the prenuptial agreement in Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung, Sragen, Central Java, Indonesia. The agreement is a special power considering that some of the existing serat texts are used in photographing husband-wife relationships when they are legal. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to compare the characteristics of Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung with others. In addition, what is the framework and meaning of the prenuptial agreement in Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung. This goal is expected to be achieved by selecting philological, hermeneutical and literature studies methods. There are several things that need to be underlined in this study, in the end, that Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung differs from the content of Serat Ambiya' Pelemgadung produced by Hamengku Buwono V's scriptorium. The philosophical framework and meaning of pre-nuptial agreements are inclined to matrilineal cultural values, such as; a) a commitment to love and provide for his wife, b) provide a business field for his wife, to prepare for the children's old age. the husband, c) bear all the debts of the wife before the marriage, and forbid his wife from debts in the future, and d) the husband promises not to use and demand all of his wife's property.

Abstract

This study focuses on the issue of the relevance of Bugis culture in creating a tolerant religious community through character education. This is nothing but a contribution to religious tolerance which has recently been eroded due to primordial issues, ethnicity and so on. This research is an qualitative research with ethnography approach. Overall, the authors note that local wisdom of Bugis culture is quite effective, this can be seen in the application inside the classroom and outside the classroom and not an obstacle to creating a tolerant religious community. The local wisdom held in the Bugis culture above in fact has the values of empathy, compassion, togetherness, respect for differences, willing to sacrifice, giving opportunities to others and being patient in acting. In addition, the local wisdom that is cultivated by the Palopo Community, especially the Bugis, when used as the basis for developing character education in universities is in line with the plurality values that characterize this nation. Thus, local wisdom can make universities more characterized and at the forefront in promoting cultural values for progress and development at the national and international levels.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the concept of love and spiritual level according to A. Musthofa Bisri. In revealing this concept, this article uses the poem A Beautiful Woman in Multazam by A. Musthafa Bisri as the object of research. The selection of the poem "Women is Beautiful in Multazam" is based on thematic considerations of longing and love for God, whose witness is real to women. Love and spiritual level in poetry use symbols of "love" and "longing" in the procession of human relationship with God which is different from the use of symbols in previous poems. This research is a literature review using a historical approach, especially the history of thought and Sufism, as well as the intertextual theory of a literary work from Julia Kristeva. For A. Musthofa Bisri, love has a close relationship with the two names of Allah, namely the Most Merciful (al-Rahman) and the Most Merciful (al-Rahim), both words come from the word "rahmah", compassion and there is a relationship that cause spiritual conditions to the spiritual level, namely tahlīl, tahlīl, tasbih, taḥmīd, takbīr, istigfār, syukr, khauf, rajā’, and tawakkul.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance through organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study uses primary data and is quantitative in nature. The population in this study were all employees of Baitul Maal Wa Tanwil, Gunungkidul Regency, while the sample used was 100 people. Sampling technique used in this research is sampling technique, random sampling and hairs theory with Structural Equation Modeling analysis method. The analysis used in this research is path analysis, hypothesis testing, multiple linear regression and single test. This study indicate that employee performance is getting better if the influence of leadership style and compensation is better preceded by the creation of a higher organizational commitment that individuals have to their organization. This is because leadership style has a positive effect on commitment, but has no effect on performance. Compensation has no effect on commitment but has a positive effect on performance. While commitment has a positive effect on performance so that it can be a mediator between leadership style and employee performance, not on employees.
