Abstract

The coverage of Covid-19 vaccination in Kendari City reached 237.735 (89.66%) in the first dose, 147.430 (55.60%) in the second dose and 3.518 (84.75%) in the third dose. Meanwhile, at the Puuwatu Health Center, the coverage of vaccination doses 2nd was 10.874 (34%). The low-vaccine program is influenced by individual perceptions and desires to vaccinate. This study aims to determine the factors associated with acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccine based on the health belief model theory. The research design used was a cross-sectional study. The population in this study were the people who were in the working area of the Puuwatu Health Center as many as 36.521 people, while the sample was 110 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Research data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of the study showed perceived vulnerability (p=0.000), perceived severity (p=0.000), perceived benefits (p=0.001), perceived obstacles (p=0.000), and cues to act (p=0.000). It can be concluded that perception is related to public acceptance of the covid-19 vaccine.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused widespread destruction, including in Indonesia. Various efforts have been undertaken to combat the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Among them is immunization. However, the general population's acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccination is questionable. Due to the availability of multiple vaccines against COVID-19, there is confusion regarding the efficacy and safety of individual vaccines, particularly among students. The primary objective of this study was to determine the reception of the COVID-19 vaccine among the parents of students. From March to August 2022, a cross-sectional survey was conducted at Padang Elementary School No. 11. Respondents for the technique of purposive sampling are the parents of 68 students. The survey data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Using the Chi-square test, the relationship between socio-demographics and COVID-19 vaccine acceptance was analyzed. According to the findings of the study, approximately 51.5% of parents reject the COVI-19 vaccine for their offspring. There is a significant correlation between education level (p-value = 0.035), knowledge level (p-value = 0.000), and attitude (p-value = 0.000) and acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine, as determined by a statistical test. The acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine is significantly affected by parents' knowledge of vaccines. The government or authorized organizations must enhance and target the dissemination of accurate information about vaccines.

Abstract

Online game addiction has spread to be a widespread issue that impacts many people, especially adolescents. Adolescents with a gaming addiction impair their physical, mental, and social wellbeing and require treatment. Hypnotherapy is a cost-effective way to reduce online game addiction. This study aims to investigate the impact of hypnotherapy approaches on reducing online game addiction among adolescents. The research method used is a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of adolescents with severe online game addiction in the working area of the Kuranji Public Health Center, Padang City—as many as 20 adolescents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, assisted by SPSS version 25. The results revealed that the average degree of online game addiction prior to receiving hypnotherapy was 55.55; however, after receiving hypnotherapy, the average value decreased to 42.45. The statistical results obtained have p values of 0.000. Hypnotherapy is recommended to be learned by every parent and teacher in order to control game addiction in their children. It is advised that parents of adolescent always supervise and instruct their children in proper behavior and establishing friends so as to prevent persistent online game addiction.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is currently a global primary health problem. WHO 2016 data shows that the incidence of ARI and the under-5 mortality rate are estimated at >40/1000 live births, or 15%-20% per year in the under-five group. ARI is an inflammatory reaction in the upper or lower respiratory tract. The risk of ARI occurring depends on three factors: the individual, behaviour, and environmental conditions. Environmental factors include lighting, humidity, area of ventilation or windows, types of walls, floors, roofs, and the distance from the house to the main road. Environmental factors, especially the house’s physical condition, are closely related to the magnitude of the community's risk of ARI. This study used a cross-sectional design. It was carried out in October 2022 and involved 148 mothers with toddlers in Jatimulya Village, Bekasi Regency. The instruments used were a rolling meter, a hygrometer, and a questionnaire with univariate and bivariate analysis. A chi-square test was used to determine whether there was a relationship. From the analysis results, it was found that the window width (p = 0.000) and humidity (p = 0.000) were related to the incidence of ARI, and the results were not related to the type of house wall (p = 0.069), the type of floor of the house (p = 0.196), and the distance between the house and the main road (p = 0.144) with the incidence of ARI. There is a significant relationship between window width and humidity and the incidence of ARI in toddlers, but there is no significant relationship between the type of wall, the type of floor, or the distance from the house to the main road.

Abstract

R is a programming language, open-source, developed by various of the world's most active statisticians with powerful function and visualization for data analysis from simple to complex data such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. Data visualization technologies have the ability to assist public health professionals with decision-making. Visualization appears to help decision making by increasing the quantity of information communicated and reducing the cognitive and intellectual strain of processing information. There are numerous commercially available statistical software packages that are widely utilized by epidemiologists worldwide. For industrialized nations, the price of software is not a significant issue. However, for underdeveloped nations, the true expenses are frequently excessive. Some academics in developing nations rely on software that has been illegally copied a copy of the software program. There are several benefits to using R, including the possibility of using software packages for free (open source) and the volume and availability of software packages. It is simple to retain and repeat commands on the same data analysis with multiple data frames, facilitating the work of health monitoring officers who frequently analyze data with similar variables but at different times.
