Abstract

Performance evaluation is an evaluative opinion on a person's character, behavior, or achievements as the basis for decisions and personnel development plans. The quality of public services is the core of a service performance. Service performance is an important point in the implementation of public services. The quality of public services is an indicator of the success of the public services provided. This study aims to determine the effect of employee performance evaluation on public services. To test the hypothesis using descriptive data and simple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were 30 respondents in which all employees started from superiors to security. The sample in this study is the total population of 30 respondents. As for the results of the research conducted, some conclusions can be drawn as follows: Performance evaluation partially affects public services, seen from the t-test shows the results of tcount < ttable (2,048 <4.462) with a significant value of 0.002 <0.05, meaning that if the performance evaluation improved, public services will also increase

Abstract

Sinar Sosro Medan is a company engaged in the production of soft drinks. The company has some problems that need fixing. The first problem was employees’ performance that was not maximal. It could be seen from data sales that were not achieved by employees. The second problem was poor employees’ work discipline that could be seen from the violations committed by employees. The third problem was employees’ inappropriate competency that could be seen from the educational background of employees in several employee divisions. Theory used in this study was the theory of human resource management, which was related to employees’ work discipline, competence and performance. This study aimed at examining and analyzing the influence of work discipline and competence on employees’ performance at PT. Sinar Sosro Medan. The method used in this study was quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive research. The nature of this research was descriptive explanatory. Data collection was done by using questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. The analytical method used in this study was multiple regression analysis. The population in this study was employees of PT. Sinar Sosro Medan as many as 150 people. Determination of the sample in this study was done by using Slovin formula in which the sample was 110 employees of PT. Sinar Sosro Medan. The results of the study on the hypothesis indicated that work discipline and competence simultaneously or partially had significant effect on employees’ performance, where work discipline and competence affected employees’ performance with a determination coefficient of 0.218. The conclusion of this research was that work discipline and competence simultaneously and partially had positive and significant effect on employees’ performance at PT. Sinar Sosro Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine and analyze the influence of the store environment and promotion on purchasing decisions at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan. The researcher conducted the research at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan, located at Jalan KH. Zainul Arifin No. 7 Medan Polonia. The researcher planned the research activities in April 2019 - September 2019. The approach of this research was quantitative research. The type of the research was quantitative descriptive research. The nature of this research was descriptive explanatory research. The population in this study was some customers of PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan, as many as 1000 customers. The population in this study was some customers who made purchases at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan, amounting to 1000 customers, where for testing validity and reliability used by researchers, there were 30 customers and the rest were 286 customers as sample test. Before the regression model obtained was used to test the hypothesis, first the model was tested in the classical assumption. The classical assumption test used included: normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedestity test. This data analysis model applied multiple regression analysis. The results of the study at the same time became the conclusion of the study was a shop environment of 3.048 with a significant value of 0.003 partially had significant effect on purchasing decisions at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan. Promotion amounting to 4.037 with a significant value of 0,000 partially had significant effect on purchasing decisions at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, Tbk (Hypermart) Sun Plaza Medan.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining and analyzing the influence of competence and work stress on employees’ performance. The competency phenomenon in PT. Murni Murni Perkasa is lack of employees’ performance that was not good because of the incompatibility of the educational background in the field which resulted in many employees not working optimally. The work stress phenomenon in PT Karya Murni Perkasa was caused by too high job demand which influenced performance and caused the high level of resignation at the company. The research method used was quantitative approach. The type of research was descriptive quantitative and the nature of this research was descriptive explanatory. The data collection was done by interviews and questionnaires. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression analysis. The population used in this study was employees at PT. Karya Murni Perkasa. Determination of samples in this study was done by using simple random sampling, so that the sample used amounted to 101 people. The results showed that work competence and stress had a significant effect on employees’ performance at PT Karya Murni Perkasa. The results of the analysis of the factors influencing employees’ performance showed that between the two variables analyzed, the most dominant influence on employee performance was the work stress variable. This was proved by the results of the calculation of each variable (t test), which was the t test on work stress. The conclusions in this study were that competency and work stress variables rejected H0 and accepted H1. Thus it was partially showed that job competence and stress had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance at PT Karya Murni Perkasa. Simultaneously the performance and competency variables had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance.

Abstract

Resource development is carried out in the efforts to develop the quality or capability of resources, in order to be able to process and manage natural resources. It is hoped it can be used for community welfare as the ultimate goal of development itself. The population in this study was 30 people. The sample used was 98 people. The approaches applied were quantitative approach, quantitative descriptive research, descriptive explanatory research and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that simultaneous selection and training had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance (21,032> 2,31) with a significant level of 0,000 <0,05). Partially the selection had positive and significant effect on employees’ performance (value calculated> t table (2.707> 1.66055) and a significant value> of 0.05). Partially the training had positive and significant effect on employees’ performance (value calculated> t table (5.054> 1.66055) and significant value> of 0.05).
