Abstract

Apart from being caused by poverty in which nutritional intake is very poor, anemia in pregnant women can also be caused by gender inequality and ignorance about correct eating patterns. Iron deficiency results in a deficiency of hemoglobin (Hb). The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between knowledge about anemia and consumption of iron tablets in pregnant women at the Midwife Norma Clinic in 2023.The type of research carried out was Descriptive Analytical with a cross sectional approach, the population in the study was 53 people using a Random Sampling System. The data collected in the research is primary data, namely data obtained directly from respondents. The data analysis used is chi square. The results of the cross-tabulation research showed that the majority of the measures of low iron consumption were 21 (61.8%) respondents who experienced anemia and the minority of good consumption measures were 2 (5.8%) respondents who experienced no anemia with the Chi-Square showing a p value of 0.000. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a relationship between the action of consuming iron and the relationship between knowledge about anemia and consumption of iron tablets in pregnant women at the Norma Midwife Clinic in 2023.The conclusion is that all health workers at the Midwife Norma Clinic are expected to be more active in looking at iron consumption and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. Abstract

Cancer is a condition in which cells have lost their normal controls and mechanisms, resulting in abnormal, fast and uncontrolled growth and threatens the lives of sufferers. Central Java ranks second in the highest cancer prevalence in Indonesia with a prevalence of 2.1% after Yogyakarta (4.9%). Meanwhile in the city of Semarang, there were 3,590 cancer sufferers recorded. At the SMC Telogorejo Hospital, cancer cases were recorded in 2020 as many as 1361 patients, then in 2021 there were 1261 patients and in 2022 there were 1125. The management of cancer patients is one of them with chemotherapy which can have a sleep disturbance effect. Handling sleep disorders can be done with a non-pharmacological approach, one of which is Progressive Muscle Relaxation. This study aims to determine the effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation on sleep quality in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at the SMC Telogorejo Hospital. This research is a quasi-experimental design with one group pre test-post test design. the sample in this study amounted to 39 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study based on the Wilcoxon test showed that there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation on the sleep quality of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at SMC Telogorejo (p = 0.000), where the sleep quality of patients before being given progressive muscle relaxation averaged 7.85 in the category of poor sleep quality, then after being given progressive muscle relaxation an average of 4.26 was obtained in the category of good sleep quality. Therefore nurses need to apply Progressive Muscle Relaxation as a relaxation method for treating sleep disorders.

Abstract

Stroke is an acute clinical manifestation resulting from neurological dysfunction in the brain, spinal cord and retina, either partial or complete, that persists for 24 hours or causes death due to blood vessel disorders. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), in 2015 the prevalence of stroke reached 33 million patients worldwide. According to Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2007, the national prevalence of stroke was 8.3 per 1,000 population. The highest stroke prevalence was found in Aceh (16.6 per 1,000 population) and the lowest in Papua (3.8 per 1,000 population). Many factors can influence the incidence of stroke, one of which is hypertension. Hypertension is a major risk factor for stroke. Often referred to as the silent killer because hypertension increases the risk of stroke by 6 times. It is said to be hypertension if blood pressure is greater than 140/90 mmHg. Stroke cases are included in the Doctor Competency Standards with grade 3B, which means a general practitioner must be able to make a clinical diagnosis based on anamnesis, physical examination and simple additional examinations. The general practitioner must be able to decide and provide preliminary therapy, as well as refer to relevant specialists (emergency cases).

Abstract

Mesenteric artery thrombosis is a condition in which there is a narrowing or blockage of one or more branches of the main arteries that supply the small and large intestines called the mesenteric arteries. This condition can lead to mesenteric ischemia and acute mesenteric artery occlusion, which are associated with high morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of patients with mesenteric vein thrombus is not known because many cases are missed because the symptoms are atypical and disappear spontaneously. Early identification and management of non-occlusive mesenteric ischemia (ISNO) reduces mortality by 50-55%, whereas mesenteric vein thrombus has a 30-day mortality rate of 13-15%. The prevalence and incidence of patients with mesenteric ischemia in Indonesia are not known. Mesenteric artery thrombosis can be subdivided into non-occlusive mesenteric artery ischemia and occlusive mesenteric artery ischemia. Patient A 40 year old male came to the emergency room at Cut Meutia Hospital with complaints of abdominal pain for 4 days. Pain comes and goes. Nausea exists. bloody chapters. Before entering the hospital, the patient complained of diarrhea and stopped after taking entrostop.

Abstract

This study is to find out about Parotid Gland Tumors, Salivary Gland Physiology, Definition of Parotid Tumors, Epidemiology, Etiology, Classification, Benign Parotid Tumors, Malignant Parotid Tumors, Clinical Manifestations, Diagnosis, Supporting Examinations, Therapy, Complications and Prognosis. Parotid tumors are tumors that attack the parotid salivary glands. The etiology of salivary gland tumors remains unknown but a multifactorial role is thought to be involved. The most common benign salivary gland tumor in children is parotid gland hemangioma. In adults, benign salivary gland tumors that often occur include pleiomorphic adenomas. Parotid malignant tumors in children are rare and the most common in children is mucoepidermoid carcinoma. The diagnosis of a parotid gland tumor will depend on the history, clinical examination, imaging, and fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). Treatment of parotid tumors is based on appropriate staging and preoperative diagnosis. Facial nerve injuries and Frey's Syndrome are complications that often arise. Most salivary gland tumors are non-malignant and grow slowly. Surgical removal of the tumor usually cures the patient.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is an androgen-dependent disorder of Pilosebaceous follicles (hair follicles and attached sebaceous glands). The areas of the body with the highest density of pilosebaceous follicles are the face, neck, upper chest, shoulders and back. Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin disorders to be treated by a dermatologist, mainly affecting teenagers, although it may be present at any age. Acne Vulgaris by definition is a multifactorial chronic inflammatory disease of the Pilosebaceous unit. The various clinical presentations include seborrhoea, comedones, erythematous papules and pustules, less commonly nodules, deep pustules or pseudocysts, and primary scarring to name a few. Acne Vulgaris has four main pathogenetic mechanisms - increased sebum production, follicular hyperkeratinization, Propionibacterium acne (P.acne) colonization, and inflammatory products. In recent years, due to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of Acne Vulgaris, new therapeutic modalities are being designed. The availability of new treatment options to complement the existing armamentarium should help achieve successful therapy of more Acne Vulgaris patients, ensuring improved tolerability and meeting patient expectations. Successful management of Acne Vulgaris requires careful selection of anti-Acne Vulgaris agents according to the clinical presentation and individual patient needs.

Abstract

Ileus Obstruction is a blockage that occurs in the intestinal flow both mechanically and functionally. The imaging examination that is often used to diagnose obstructive ileus is colon in loop. Colon in loop examination is a radiological examination technique to determine the condition of the large intestine by inserting contrast media retrogradely. The colon in loop examination technique is generally carried out using several projections including Antero Posterior (AP), Postero Anterior (PA), Lateral, Right Postero Oblique (RPO), Left Postero Oblique (LPO), Right Antero Oblique (RAO), Left Antero Oblique ( LAO). The contrast medium usually used is Barium Enema or Barium Sulfate (BaSO₄). This article was created using a case study approach to determine effective examination and projection procedures for pediatric Colon In Loop examinations with clinical Ileus Obstruction carried out at the radiology installation of Syarifah Ambami Rato Ebu Hospital, Bangkalan Regency, Madura. This examination was carried out with water soluble contrast media and used two projections, namely AP and Lateral, according to the doctor's request because the patient was a baby and from this projection he could depict the entire colon.
