Abstract

Background: the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the province of Central Java in 2009 at 0, 19% experienced improvement when compared to the prevalence in 2008 of 0, 16%. incidence of diabetes mellitus is influenced by several factors. knowledge about the disease diabetes mellitus diabetes mellitus and its treatment is important in holding peranana control blood sugar levels. intake of carbohydrates and fiber that fits your needs can help control blood sugar levels. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus, the level of carbohydrate intake and level of fiber intake with postprandial blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus poly outpatient department of Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Methods: the study design was cross sectional approach. Data rates of diabetes mellitus knowledge obtained by a questionnaire, the data rate of carbohydrate intake and level of fiber intake obtained by food frequency questionnaire semi-quantitative. data analysis using chi square test. Results: the results showed that all samples were aged over 40 years, the number of samples of postprandial blood glucose levels are high as 51.5%, the level of knowledge of diabetes mellitus with less category at 72.7% and a high level of carbohydrate intake 72.7 % and the level of fiber intake by as much as 72.7% less category. Conclusion: there is a relationship between the level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus in post prandial glucose levels, while the level of carbohydrate intake and level of fiber intake did not show any relationship with post-prandial blood glucose levels. need to make a referral to outpatients and provide counseling on a regular basis.

Abstract

Background: The situation at the time of malnourished infants is the result of not giving enough food to meet nutrient in terms of quality and quantity. Less energi and protein in infants may hinder growth, especially vulnerable to diseases and infectious diseases lead to low levels of intelligence.Objectives: To know the relationship between maternal behavior in feeding and energy-sufficiency level of protein in the nutritional status of toddlers aged 12-36 months in the working area health center Tersono Batang regency. Method: The scope of this research is the field of nutritional science community with a location in the working area of Batang regency Tersono Health Center, the research conducted in October-December 2009, this kind of research through a descriptive analytic cross-sectional approach for the dependent and independent variables were collected at the same time. population is aged 12-36 months toddler of 1021, with the number of sample 100 toddlers.Detemination samples taken at random samples using interval sampling. Analysis of the relationship between maternal behavior in the feeding with nutritional status of toddlers aged 12-36 months, the level of energy and protein adequacy with nutritional status of toddlers 12-36 months of age using Chi-Square test. Results: Maternal behavior in the feeding  a good of 63% and 37% less, the level of energy sufficiency for good 82% and 18% less, the level of protein adequacy for good 81% and less 19% and good nutritional status as many as 83% and 17% less.The relationship between maternal behavior in the feeding  and level of adequacy of nutritional status of energy-protein are significantly ststistik .Conclusions: There is a relationship between maternal behavior in feeding and energy-sufficiency level of protein nutritional status. Suggestions: Suggestions to improve of information about the behavior of mothers in feeding to specially cleaning of toddlers and  mothers.

Abstract

Background of Study: Diabetes prevalence in Indonesia increases and occupies the forth position of theworld highest number of patients. There are increasing of number DM patient visiting nutrition clinic indr.R.Goeteng Tarunadibrata general Hospital Purbalingga, 36.36% in 2008 and 52.17% in 2009. Thediabetes mellitus patient with bad glucose rate in 2008 is 35% and increased up to 40% in 2009. Themethod of using in nutrition clinic of Purbalingga General Hospital is List of Substitutive Foodcomposition. There is a new instrument of nutrient counseling called Carbohydrate Counting.Objective: To find out the difference of knowledge and understanding level between the instrument ofcarbohydrate counting with the list of substitutive food composition of diabetes mellitus in the nutritionclinic of dr.R.Goeteng Tarunadibrata General Hospital Purbalingga.Method: This study design was quasi experimental with pre and post test design. The sample was takenby using purposive sampling in 2 months from November – December 2010.Result: The subject with carbohydrate counting instrument has medium knowledge 14.2% and highknowledge 85.8%, in other side on subject with the list of substitutive food composition instrument hashigh knowledge 100%. The subject with carbohydrate counting instrument hasn’t understand 57.1%and understand 42.9%, in other side on subject with the list of substitutive food composition instrumenthasn’t understand 42.9% and 57.1% understand.The statistic result of knowledge level p = 0.48 for pretestand p = 0.213 for post-test and the understanding level p = 0.615 for pre-test and p = 0.193 for posttest.Conclusion: There is no difference of knowledge and understanding level between the instruments ofcarbohydrate counting with the list of substitutive food composition of diabetes mellitus in the nutritionclinic of dr.R.Goeteng Tarunadibrata General Hospital Purbalingga.

Abstract

In food and nutrient national action plan 2001-2005, Laws no. 25 (2000) about national development program and Indonesia sehat 2010 that 80% of family become conscious nutrient defind kadarzi  is a family that have balance nutrient behavior, capable to recognize and solve the nutrient problem between each member. In 2008, kadarzi  area in jawa tengah is 35,26%, semarang area 65,77%. And then kadarzi in Tembalang sub district is 61,09%.The objective of this research is t find out relation between education, knowledge with conscious nutrient of independent family practice behavior to baby within 7-12 age month in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang.  This research include of explonative research which has a goal to explaining relation between education level and mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior. Research plan include of Crossectional research, conducted in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang. As mother population which have baby 7-12 agemonth as much as 164. Whereas, mount of sample is 128, took randomly with proportional random sampling.The Research result shown respondents which have high school level is 43%, knowledge level is 85,9% (Good), and while conscious nutrient family is 3,1%.The result of fisher exact statistic shown, there is no relation between mother education with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,126 and have no relation between mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,459. Suggested to policy maker for increasing promotion health so society in nutrient field, especially kadarzi indicator which has lowest achievement result is exclusive ASI feeding.

Abstract

Background: Knowledge of Diabetes Mellitus will be at least more quickly result in complications and this will be a burden to family and community. This lack of community that can impede preventive actions, because it is so related to the economic consequences such as treatment in hospitals and medical facilities or health needs. Counselling is a form of education.  Objective: To describe the implementation of nutrition counseling in patients with diabetes mellitus dr. R. Goeteng Tarunadibrata Purbalingga and describe attitudes towards patients with diabetes mellitus re-nutrition counseling.  Methods: This descriptive study. The number of samples were patients with diabetes mellitus in Poly Nutrition dr. R. Goeteng Tarunadibrata Purbalingga who meet the criteria of inklusi : patient of diabetes melitus with or without komplikasi, have consultancy mendapt of nutrition in poly nutrition, age woman and man 30 - 80 year, can communicate with goodness and do not illiteracy. While for the criterion of ekslusi: patient of diabetes melitus which do not living in sub-province of Purbalingga. The data obtained included sex, age, education, employment and attitudes of patients obtained by using questionnaires.  Results: Attitudes of patients in general have a good attitude toward repeated, this is because of consistency in the attitude not to the same extent in every individual and every object yourself attitude. inconsistent attitude that does not show correspondence between attitude and behavior statements, or easily change from time to time interpretation will be difficult and not much meaningful in understanding and predicting the behavior of the individuals concerned.  Conclusion: Consultation nutrition has an important role in helping to control this disease in order to improve the quality of life and prevent various

Abstract

Background : Health Care Center (Posyandu) revitalization program is aimed to upgrade its function and work performance. The figure of SKDN from month to month is monitored to find out the development of Posyandu’s activities and program in working area. If a cadre make a mistake in weighing children’s growth, it will be resulting in wrong conclusion, wrong information, and it will be ending in the wrong decision related to the next policy.  Target Research:To find out the relationship between the Knowledge of Children under Five Health Cards (KMS) Toward the Ability in Drawing the Growth Graphic In Children Health Cards (KMS) in Health Care Center (Posyandu) in Kecamatan Rembang Kabupaten Purbalingga   Method : This research uses time approach with cross sectional design and the sample 4362 cadres, sample research are one person from each 62 Posyandus. The process of analysis uses univariat by describing each research variable and bivariat to test the relationship between two variable, they are the variable of knowledge influence and the variable of influenced cadre’s ability. Each variable relatioship uses chi square or Fiher’s Exact Test. Result : Most of cadres are junior high school graduation (52%) have a good knowledge about KMS (73%), but their ability in drawing children growth graphic is lack (87%). Abstract

Background : The first five years of life is a sensitive period of children. This period is also called ’the gold period’, ’the window of opportunity’, and ‘the critical period’. In less than five year period, the ability of speaking and language, creativity, social awareness, emotion and intelligence develop so fast. One of influencing factor is nutrition status. Objective :The purpose of the research is to find out the relationship between the nutrition statuses with the development of under-five children in pre- school education in the Puskesmas Kesugihan I Cilacap Districts. Method: This research is the explanative research with the cross sectional approach. The analyzed population is all the children in the age of 3 until five in pre-school education in the area of Puskesmas Kesugihan I Cilacap Districts. The sample of this research is 90 children. The technique of data collection is a interviewed with Development Pre Screning Quesioner. Fisher’s exact test analized was done to got relationship between variabels. Result: The percentage of over weight was 41 children (45.6%), well-nourished was 32 children (35.6%), and wasting was 17 children (18.9%). The development of dominant sample for amount 58 children (64.4%) is appropriate; the development of 27 children (30%) is doubtful and 5 children (5.6%) with development’s deviation. There is a relationship between the nutrition status with the development of children 3 -5 years old (p= 0,025). Conclusion: There is a meaningful relationship between the nutrition status with the development of children3 -5 years old (p= 0,025).

Abstract

Latar belakang : Banyak orang menghindari telur dengan alasan kandungan kolesterol dan lemBackground: Many people avoid eggs on the grounds of cholesterol and fat content. Banyak pula rekomendasi diet untuk mencegah penyakit jantung dan dislipidemia termasuk pembatasan asupan kolesterol. Namun, pembatasan asupan kolesterol mungkin juga mengurangi asupan zat gizi lain diantaranya adalah lesitin, padahal lesitin mengandung zat gizi penting seperti kolin, fosfat dan asam lemak. Many dietary recommendations for preventing heart disease and dyslipidemia, including restriction of cholesterol intake. However, this restriction of cholesterol intake may also reduce the intake of other nutrients such as lecithin, and lecithin contains important nutrients such as choline, phosphate and fatty acids. Lesitin juga berfungsi untuk membentuk membran sel. Tujuan : Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian telur dengan cara pengolahan yang berbeda terhadap kadar kolesterol total, kolesterol LDL, kolesterol HDL dan trigliserida serum pada hewan percoObjective: This study was conducted to investigate the influence of eggs with different processing methods on serum total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and serum triglycerides in mice. Metode : Penelitian eksperimental dengan kontrol random ( randomized controled trial ) menggunakan rancangan eksperimental ulang ” pretest posttest control group design ”.Methods: Experimental study with random controls (controled randomized trial) using experimental design re "pretest posttest control group design." Variabel pengaruhnya adalah cara pengolahan kuning telur, sedangkan variabel terpengaruhnya adalah kadar  kolesterol total, kolesterol LDL, kolesterol HDL dan trigliserida. Variable influence is the way of processing the yolk, whereas the character of the variable is total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah wistar jantan ( Rattus Novergicus Strain Wistar ), dibagi dalam 4 kelompok yaitu kelompok A mendapat ransum kuning telur rebus, kelompok B mendapat ransum kuning telur goreng, kelompok C mendapat ransum kuning telur mentah dan kelompok kontrol mendapat ransum standart. Besar sampel yang diperlukan untuk masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 5 ekor ditambah 20% sebagai cadangan sehingga totalnya sebanyak 24 ekor. Sebelum perlakuan, masing-masing kelompok diukur kadar kolesterol total, kolesterol LDL, kolesterol HDL dan trigliserida dan diukur kembali satu bulan setelah perlakuan. The sample in this study were male Wistar rats (Rattus novergicus strain Wistar), were divided into 4 groups: group A received ration of boiled egg yolk, group B gets fried egg yolk diet, group C received diet of raw egg yolk and the control group received standard diet. Large sample required for each group of 5 mice plus 20% as a backup so that in total as many as 24 individuals. Before treatment, each group was measured in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides and measured again one month after treatment. Uji ANOVA digunakan untuk menganalisis data antar kelompok perlakuan. ANOVA test was used to analyze data between treatment groups. Hasil : Ada kecenderungan penurunan kadar kolesterol total, kolesterol LDL dan kolesterol HDL pada kelompok yang mendapat ransum tambahan kuning telur yang direbus dan digoreng walaupun tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (p0,01).Results: There was a tendency to decrease total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol in those who received extra rations of boiled egg yolk and fried, although no significant effect (p 0.01). Kadar trigliserida pada kelompok yang mendapat ransum tambahan kuning telur dengan cara pengolahan yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh peningkatan secara signifikan (p0,01). Triglyceride levels in the group was given an additional ration of egg yolk in a different way of processing gives the effect of a significant increase (p 0.01). Pemberian kuning telur mentah cenderung memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kadar kolesterol total, kolesterol LDL dan trigliserida serta penurunan kolesterol HDL. Raw egg yolk tended to give effect to the increase of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and lower HDL cholesterol.
