Menara Tebuireng (Jurnal Studi Islam) adalah publikasi ilmiah yang berusaha memfasilitasi artikel akademis dan tulisan ilmiah dari sejumlah studi penelitian empiris dalam bidang Studi Islam. Menara Tebuireng terbuka bagi akademisi, mahasiswa, peneliti, dan praktisi yang berminat untuk berkontribusi dengan pemikiran mereka, terutama dalam bidang Studi Islam. Fokus utama jurnal Menara Tebuireng adalah pada eksplorasi hukum Islam, dinamika penyebaran dakwah dalam penyebaran Islam, studi ilmu sosial, Pendidikan Islam, dan pengembangan pengetahuan Islam kontemporer dalam ranah teoretis maupun praktis, khususnya dalam lingkup lokal, nasional, dan global. Abstract

This research is a qualitative field research. The author used three data collection techniques to obtain data, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The author uses data analysis techniques in the form of objective interpretations. The conclusion from the general research is that giving a dowry of decoration is permissible as long as it has economic value. Giving dowry in the form money, goods or services must have benefits for the life of his wife, including fulfilling the dowry requirements in Islamic law. The majority of married couples use dowry money as a symbol of marriage to make it look more impressive and unique. Imam Asy-syafi’I defines dowry as something that is obligatory because of marriage or intercourse, or the passing of a woman’s honor without power, such as the result of breastfeeding and the without al of witnesses. According to imam syafi’I the complete pillars of marriage are as follows: prospective wife, prospective husband, 2 witnesses, guardian, shighat. According to imam Hanafi, dowry is giving a number of assets which are the rights of the wife, because of marriage ties or because of different types of sexual relation based on Islamic law. The imam Hanafi school of are the right of the wife, due to a marriage contract, or due to actual intercourse. Meanwhile, according to imam malik, dowry is the cause and effect of the halal relationship between husband and wife. Imam hambali’s opinion is that dowry is a reward for a marriage, whether it is stated clearly in the marriage contract, determined after the contract is agreed upon by both parties, or determined by the judge. Abstract

Abstrak—the primary motivation behind this research stems from the deficiency observed in students' speaking skills. There exists a subset of students who experience fear and embarrassment during the learning process due to their perceived inadequacy in speaking skills. This lack of communication proficiency results in diminished student engagement within the learning journey. Consequently, the researcher intends to address the following inquiries 1. Strategies for enhancing the proficiency of class XII students' "maharah kalam" (speaking skills) at MA Hasyim Asy'ari (MAHASY) , Jogoroto, Jombang.2. Implementing the question and answer technique in the context of twelfth-grade students at MA Hasyim Asy'ari, Jogoroto, Jombang..3. Evaluation of the advantages and drawbacks associated with employing the question and answer method for class XII students at MA Hasyim Asy'ari, Jogoroto, Jombang.The research adopts a qualitative approach, involving participation from students at MA Hasyim Asy'ari, located in Jogoroto, Jombang, along with Arabic teachers and school principals. Data collection methods encompass interviews, observations, and documentation. Data credibility is reinforced through triangulation, while the data analysis process encompasses data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawingThe findings of this study underscore endeavors aimed at enriching Arabic language speaking skills through techniques such as the question and answer method and public speaking exercises. Barriers to improving Maharah Kalam include the absence of LCD screens for enriching Arabic vocabulary through multimedia, as well as a lack of student self-assurance. Solutions involve implementing the question and answer method and organizing extracurricular activities to enhance Arabic language lessons. The outcomes of employing the question and answer method indicate progress in developing and amplifying language skills, expanding vocabulary, and fostering a greater affinity for the Arabic language. Abstract

Communication as something essential is a very important point for all aspects of human life. In communication there is a communication strategy, such as the communication strategy in enforcing discipline in the Islamic boarding school students of Madrasatul Qur'an Tebuireng. This study aims to examine the communication strategies used by administrators in enforcing discipline against Islamic boarding school students Madrasatul Qur'an Tebuireng in Jombang. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, documentation and observation. The results of this study indicate that the management of Madrasatul Qur'an Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School uses several effective communication strategies in enforcing discipline to students. First, they apply persuasive communication by providing clear explanations and building a shared understanding of the importance of discipline in the life of students. Second, administrators use participatory communication by involving students in making decisions regarding disciplinary rules and sanctions. Third, administrators also use positive communication by giving praise and appreciation to students who show a good level of discipline. Keyword: Management Communication Strategy, Santri Discipline

Abstract

Film is an effective medium for conveying a message. But not every message can be conveyed properly; therefore, it is necessary to formulate the research problem: (1) What is the meaning of the sign of the relationship between different religions from an Islamic perspective in the film Akhirat: A Love Story? This study uses a qualitative approach, with the method used being Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis of "the meaning of the relationship between different religions from an Islamic perspective in the film Akhirat: A Love Story by Jason Iskandar". In this study, Roland Barthes' theory is very relevant for interpreting the sign structure in the film Akhirat: A Love Story. Roland Barthes classifies significance in two stages, namely denotative meaning and connotative meaning. Roland Barthes also adds myth, which is the signifier and has the deepest meaning. Then the analysis in this film is focused on the relationship between different religions, which is the formulation of the problem in this study. From the results of the meaning of the sign structure contained in the film Akhirat: A Love Story, there are several scenes about the relationship between different religions. Then these aspects are analyzed from the perspective of the Islamic religion, with the aim that this research can provide knowledge about interfaith relations. Islam prohibits anyone who does this, which is supported by several arguments in the Qur'an and hadith. Keyword: Film, Interfaith Relations, Islamic Perspective

Abstract

The association of hijab with the identity of Muslim women remains a subject of debate. Women have an important position in Islam. Islam is very concerned about the dignity and dignity of women. One of the social constructions formed by mass media is the social construction of veiled women. The social construction displayed by the mass media regarding veiled women fosters a certain image in society. Film is an audiovisual medium used to convey messages to groups of people congregating in a particular location. The main topic of discussion in this karya is the plot and specific details that are contained in the movie Merindu cahaya de Amstel. Qualitative research methods were used in this study. The purpose of this study is to describe the signs of the meaning of hijab and the structure of the meaning of hijab in the film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel by Arumi E. Maxstream Original and Unlimited Production. Utilized data collection techniques include document analysis and case study research. To answer the formulation of the problem described above, researchers use a qualitative approach using the semiotic analysis model of Charles Sanders Peirce. As a result, researchers found several meanings of hijab in the film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel: (1) The meaning of hijab as an identity Muslim women. (2) Maintain the social behavior of a Muslim woman. (3) Hijab embodying women with noble morals. (4) Exalting a person Muslimah. (5) Hijab as an obligation for Muslim women. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the message of religious moderation conveyed by M. Quraish Shihab on Najwa Shihab's YouTube channel with the theme of Wasathiyyah Islam, namely the Islamic concept that emphasizes the middle, balance, and tolerance. The purpose of this study is to explore a deeper understanding of how M. Quraish Shihab conveys messages of moderation in the context of the Islamic religion which are applied in everyday life. This research will use a qualitative approach with the Holsti theory content analysis method. The primary data sources obtained in this study were taken from YouTube video uploads of Najwa Shihab, Islam Wasathiyyah edition, Islam in the Middle and secondary data in the form of documents, books related to the object under study along with relevant previous research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and documentation as well as on data analysis techniques obtained from interviews, field notes and other materials. From the results of the analysis carried out by the researcher, the conclusion was in the form of a message of religious moderation conveyed by M. Quraish Shihab. As for the messages of religious moderation conveyed by M. Quraish Shihab on the Najwa Shihab Youtube channel, the Islam Wasathiyyah edition, Islam in the Middle is associated with the four pillars of religious moderation.
