Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Road capacity is the ability of road sections to accommodate ideal traffic flow or volume in a certain unit of time, expressed in the number of vehicles passing through a certain road section in one hour. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of road traffic by calculating passing vehicles, road geometric conditions and environmental conditions. The study conducted in this research is conducted on the Jolotundo road section of Semarang city with the aim of calculating capacity and level of service, namely by conducting surveys (starting from 06.00 - 09.00 and 15.00 - 18.00), the data obtained are traffic volume data, vehicle speed and road geometric data. The data processing was carried out using the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) method where the degree of saturation (DS) as an indicator of traffic behavior on the Jolotundo section of Semarang City. From the results of the survey data processing, the capacity value on this road section is 1543.25 smp/hour and the level of service at LOS C with a value of 0.49, which means that the traffic volume on the Jolotundo road section currently has a stable flow, but the speed and movement of vehicles are controlled.

Abstract

Agrobacterium sp. I26 and Agrobacterium sp. I30 are bioremediation agent that can be used as functional bacteria in biofertilizers. The storage of these bacteria requires carrier. Not all carriers can support bacterial viability, so it was necessary to examine carrier formulas as basic ingredients for biofertilizers which the quality standards based on the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 70/2011. This research aimed to: (1) study the viability of Agrobacterium sp. I26 and Agrobacterium sp. I30 in some carrier formulas; and (2) obtain the best carrier formula to support the viability of Agrobacterium sp. I26 and Agrobacterium sp. I30. Research design was factorial using completely randomized design (CRD) as the based design, consisting of 2 factors: 1) Carrier Fornula (C): C1; C2; C3; C4; C5, 2) Bacteria (I): I1; I2; I3, so there were 15 treatment combinations each was repeated 4 times, thus there were 60 experimental units. The results showed that Agrobacterium sp. I26 has better viability than Agrobacterium sp. I30 during 90 days incubation period. The best bacterial viability with total bacterial as the indicator was C4 carrier formula: 74 x 1013 cfu.g-1 for Agrobacterium sp. I26 and C3 carrier formula: 155 x 1012 cfu.g-1.

Abstract

The long-term objective of the research on "Community-Based Waste Bank Development Model to Support Environmental Management and Local Economic Development in the Mount Lawu Area" is to develop waste banks to support environmental management and improve the local economy in the Mount Lawu area. In particular, this study aims to: (1) identify waste bank development activities that have been carried out by communities in the Mount Lawu area, (2) find out the role of local institutions in developing community-based waste banks to support environmental management, (3) know internal and external obstacles in the development of community-based waste banks to support environmental management and improve the local economy in the Mount Lawu area, (4) identifyi supporting factors for the development of community-based waste banks to support environmental management and improving the local economy in the Mount Lawu area, (5) knowing the benefits of community-based waste bank development for the environment and strengthening the local economy in the Mount Lawu area, (6) find out the Karanganyar District Government policies and programs in developing community-based waste banks to support environmental management and local economic development in the Mount Lawu area, and (7) develop a community-based waste bank development model to support environmental management and local economic development in the Mountain area Lawu. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The research data was collected using several methods, namely field observations, interviews, focus group discussions (FGD / Focus Group Discussion), and document review methods. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis and internal and external environmental analysis (ALIE). The outputs of this study are: (1) the model and strategy for developing waste banks to support environmental management and local economic development in the GunungLawu area, and (2) publication of scientific articles in nationally accredited journals.

Abstract

According to Sustainable Waste Indonesia (SWI) data, less than 10% of plastic waste is recycled and more than 50% still ends up in landfill site. The total volume of waste generated by the City of Surakarta in 2020 is 107,873 tons per year, so a waste management scheme is needed that is the joint responsibility of the government, the private sector and the community. One of the waste management schemes involving community participation is through the Waste Bank. The Waste Bank is one solution to deal with the problem of increasing waste production. The waste bank program is a collective self-subsistent waste management system with the principle of recycling. People who act as bank customers will also benefit by depositing their waste and then saving it through a waste bank and from their savings can be taken as needed. Thus, the waste bank will have a positive impact on the environment and improve economic conditions in a community. The sustainable self-subsistent waste bank management program is a solution in handling waste problems in RW 28, Mojosongo sub-district, Surakarta. The implementation of the waste bank management program in RW 28 Mojosongo Village, among others: 1) the establishment of a waste bank, 2) technical training, 3) implementation and development of the waste bank system.
