Abstract

The aims this research is to develop learning media in the form of animated videos with a contextual approach to valid and practical curved side space material. The type of this research.is development.research.by.the Plomp rnodel which is grouped in the prelirnrinary research phase, prototyping phase, and assessrnent stage. Preliminary research stage includes analysis of needs, analysis of student, analysis of curriculum, and analysis of material. Prototyping phase is the stage for developing CTL-based learning videos with the application of powtoon on curved side-space materials. The prototype must go through evaluation with several stage in the form of self-evaluation and”expert”reviews to obtain a valid prototype. Results demonstrate that the CTL-based learning video with the application of powtoon on curved side space’’has a validity’’ level of 86.11% with.a.very.valid category and.the.practicality level with a very practical category is 87.15% by students and 94.37% by educators. Keywords– Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), video powtoon application, video teaching learning.

Abstract

This research has purpose to produce a valid and practical interactive learning multimedia based on discovery learning in the circle material of class VIII Junior High School. This research is a development research using the Plomp development model. The development procedure consists of three stages which include: (a) preliminary research phase, (b) development phase or prototyping phase and (c) assessment phase. At the preliminary research stage requires needs analysis, student analysis, curriculum analysis, and concept analysis. At the prototyping phase the product was designed using the Macromedia Flash Professional 8 application based on the discovery learning model. Furthermore, the product will be evaluated to obtain valid criteria through self-evaluation and expert reviews. After the product was declared valid, a one-to-one evaluation was conducted to obtain suggestions from students. In the assessment phase, a small group evaluation was carried out to obtain practicality. The results showed that the interactive learning multimedia based on discovery learning in the circle material of class VIII SMP was valid and practical. Keywords—Interactive learning multimedia, discovery learning, Plomp.

Abstract

One goal ofilearning mathematics understanding mathematical  concepts. But in reality  in Padang Adabiah 2 High School, this ability is still not optimal. Learning strategies have not been able to improve students' understanding oficoncepts. Ifuthis ability is low, it will affect other mathematical abilities. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the types of errors committed learners in solving Trigonometry based on the stages of Kastolan. This type of research is qualitative deskripstif with the subject of the research is the 6 students of class X MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Bonjol. Data collection techniques in the form of a written test which are prepared in the form of the description (essay examination) as much as 9 point about, interview and documentation study. The technique of the analysis conducted in this research is Data Reduction, Data Display and Conclusion Drawing. From the results of the student error analysis, conceptual errors were obtained with an error percentage of 28.65% consisting of indicator 1 as much as 29.65% conceptual error, indicator 2 as much as 58.01% conceptual error and indicator 3 as much as 12.34% conceptual error; procedural error as much as 34.39% which consisting of indicator 1 as much as 43.11% procedural errors, indicator 2 48.86% procedural errors and indicator 3 as much as 7.95% procedural errors; technical errors are the most common mistakes made by students with a percentage of 36.96% with indicator 1 as much as 20.95% technical error, indicator 2 as much as 68.57% technical error and indicator 3 as much as 10.47% technical error. Keywords– Typesoof Castor Errors, Conceptual0Errors, Procedural0Errors, Technical0Erros, Trigonometry

Abstract

Matematics learning outcomes are an important component and must be achieved in learning mathematics. The result of the observation show that the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 1 Sutera still low. Therefore, research was carried out in order to improve students mathematics learning outcomes by adjusting the group investigation (GI) type of cooperative learning model. The type of research used was quasy experimental and descriptive with randomized control group only design. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the development of students mat learning outcomes hematics learning outcomes during the learning process using the group investigation (GI) type of cooperative learning model has increase, and the mathematics of students whose learning process uses the group investigation (GI) type of cooperative learning model are better than the result. Abstract

Misconceptions exist in learning geometry at school. Therefore, this study aims to describe the forms of students' misconceptions in solving geometry problems. The research subjects were students of class VIII-1 and VIII-4 at SMP Negeri 5 Padang Panjang. The research instrument was in the form of essay questions and interview guidelines. The results of this study showed several misconceptions of students, namely: (1) misconceptions about the concept of height in a triangle; (2) error in determining the height of the pyramid; (3) errors in identifying prism elements such as base, cover, and height; (4) misconceptions about the concepts and formulas of the Pythagorean Theorem (5) errors in identifying and distinguishing geometric shapes based on their properties. The main cause of the misconception is the lack of knowledge construction process during the geometry learning process. This condition will result in students' shallow understanding of geometric concepts. Keywords - geometry and misconceptions

Abstract

Student error analysis is an important thing to find out student mastery. It turned out that errors were found by students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Painan in solving polynomial math problems. The purpose of this study is to identify student errors and factors that cause these errors. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative research approach. The data in this study are data from observations, tests, and interviews. The data was analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Based on the results of the research, the errors made by students include: 1) conceptual error of 30.8%, students cannot define polynomial forms and determine polynomial degrees, 2) procedural error of 42.3%, students wrong in determining the steps to solve problems, 3) technical error of 26, 9%, students make mistakes in accuracy and wrong in calculating the value of arithmetic operations. Keywords — error analysis, kastolan.

Abstract

Learning results and an attitude of appreciating the usefulness of mathematics are the goals of learning mathematics. But in reality, it was found that learning results and attitudes to appreciate the usefulness of mathematics for class X SMAN 7 Padang students in the 2020/2021 school year were still low. One exertion that can defeat these issues is to apply a model Problem Posing learning in the mathematics learning. The direction of this research was to decide whether the mathematics learning results of students who learned to use the Problem Posing learning model were superior than the mathematics learning results of students who learned to use immediate learning model in grade X students of SMAN 7 Padang and to see whether the assembling of the Problem Posing learning model to learning affects the attitude of appreciating the use of mathematics in class X SMAN 7 Padang. The kind of study used is a quasi-experimental research with a design using The Static Group Design. The study population is class X students of SMAN 7 Padang in the 2020/2021 school year. The sample class was picked utilizing the Simple Random Sampling technique, which is using a lottery system. Data collection was completed utilizing the worth of the Mid-Semester Examination and a questionnaire regarding the attitude of appreciating the usefulness of mathematics which was analyzed with the normality experiment, homogeneousity test and t experiment In accordance with the data analysis, it is seen that at the real level  = 0,05, P-value = 0.000 is obtained for data on mathematics learning results and P-value = 0.035 for data on attitudes to appreciate the usefulness of mathematics. Because P-value < , then reject . Abstract

The pupose of this research is to develop student worksheet Geogebra Classroom on the linear program is valid, practical and effective to improve student mathematical communication skills. Thi is because the student worksheet that used in the learning procces are still not able to facilitate students to be able to communicate their mathematical ideas. the type of thisresearch is Research and Development (R&D). This reseach used the plomp model which consist of three phases, namely preliminary reseach, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The research data from the questionnaire were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, and the data from observation and interviews were analyzed by describtive techniques. The results of this research are (1) the student worksheets developed has a very valid category with a validity value of 89.02%, (2) the student worksheets can be used easily by students in the learning process with a practicality value of 90,14% with very practical category, (3) Geogebra Classroom assisted LKPD is effectively used in learning, this is seen from classical completeness, N-Gain Score test, and Effect Size test. where the result of classical completeness show more than 75% of students score are above the KKM, the N-Gain Score shows a value of 0,66 in the medium category, and effect size test scores 2,07 in the hidh category. Therefore, it can be said that the LKPD assisted by the Geogebra Classroom is effective in improving students mathematical communication skills .  Keywords – Student Worksheet, Mathemathic Communication Skill, Geogebra Classroom, Linear Program, Plomp.

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes are needed to determine the ability and understanding of students. The problem in the UNP Laboratory Development Junior High School is that mathematics learning outcomes are still low. This study aims to determine whether the results of learning mathematics using the discovery learning model are better than conventional learning. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design using a Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The research population is all students of class VIII with a sample class of class VIII. A and class VIII. B selected by purposive sampling technique. Learning outcomes test in the form of essay questions was used as a research instrument. From the data analysis, the average value of the experimental class was 65.36 and the control class average was 55.62. The results of hypothesis testing with t-test obtained P-Value = 0.009 or reject Ho because it is less than . So it can be concluded that students who study with the discovery learning model have better learning outcomes than students of class VIII SMP UNP Laboratory Development with conventional learning. Keywords — discovery learning, learning outcomes
